2 IEV परन्तु अब इस्राएली बेतेल गए और सूर्य के अस्त हो जाने तक पूरे दिन यहोवा के आगे जोर- जोर से रोते रहे। BSB BSB: So the people came to Bethel and sat there before God until evening, lifting up their voices and weeping bitterly.

8 IEV तब उनमें से एक ने पूछा,“इस्राएल के गोत्रों में से किसने यहाँ मिस्पा में कोई पुरुष नहीं भेजा?” BSB BSB: So they asked, “Which one of the tribes of Israel failed to come up before the LORD at Mizpah?” And, in fact, no one from Jabesh-gilead had come to the camp for the assembly.
9 IEV उन्हें मालूम हुआ कि जब सैनिकों की गिनती हुई थी, तब कोई भी नहीं था जो याबेश गिलाद शहर से आया था। BSB BSB: For when the people were counted, none of the residents of Jabesh-gilead were there.

12 IEV अतः वे सैनिक याबेश गिलाद गए और सभी पुरुषों, विवाहित स्त्रियों और बच्चों को मार डाला। परन्तु उन्हें वहाँ चार सौ कुँवारी स्त्रियाँ मिलीं। इसलिए वे उन्हें नदी के पार गिलाद के क्षेत्र से जो बिन्यामीन के गोत्र का था, कनान के शीलो में उनके छावनी में ले आए। BSB BSB: So they found among the inhabitants of Jabesh-gilead four hundred young women who had not had relations with a man, and they brought them to the camp at Shiloh in the land of Canaan.
13 IEV तब इकट्ठे हुए सभी इस्राएलियों ने रिम्मोन की चट्टान पर छः सौ पुरुषों को एक सन्देश भेजा। उन्होंने कहा कि वे उनके साथ शान्ति बनाना चाहते हैं। BSB BSB: Then the whole congregation sent a message of peace to the Benjamites who were at the rock of Rimmon.

Since you did not actually give them your daughters, you have no guilt.’”
23 IEV इसलिए बिन्यामीन के गोत्र के पुरुषों ने यही किया। वे पर्व के समय शीलो गए। और जब युवा स्त्रियाँ नाच रही थीं, तो हर एक व्यक्ति ने उनमें से एक को पकड़ा और उसे घर ले गया और उससे विवाह किया। तब वे अपनी पत्नियों को उस देश में वापस ले गए जिसे परमेश्वर ने उन्हें दिया था। उन्होंने उनके नगरों का फिर से निर्माण किया जिनको जला दिया गया था, और वे वहाँ रहने लगे। BSB BSB: The Benjamites did as instructed and carried away the number of women they needed from the dancers they caught. They went back to their own inheritance, rebuilt their cities, and settled in them.
24 IEV अन्य इस्राएली अपने- अपने घर चले गए अर्थात् परमेश्वर द्वारा उन्हें दिए गए स्थानों में जो उनके गोत्र और कुल के अनुसार थे। BSB BSB: And at that time, each of the Israelites returned from there to his own tribe and clan, each to his own inheritance.
