1 IEV एक बार यीशु गलील झील के पास लोगों को शिक्षा देने लगे उनके चारों ओर एक बड़ी भीड़ एकत्र हो गई थी। वह एक नाव में बैठ गए और नाव को पानी में उतार दिया। भीड़ पानी के किनारे पर ही खड़ी थी। BSB BSB: Once again Jesus began to teach beside the sea, and such a large crowd gathered around Him that He got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people crowded along the shore.

5 IEV कुछ बीज पत्थरीली भूमि पर गिरे, जहाँ अधिक मिट्टी नहीं थी। बीज शीघ्र ही अंकुरित हुए, क्योंकि सूरज ने नमी वाली मिट्टी को तेजी से गर्म कर दिया, जहाँ वह गहरी नहीं थी। BSB BSB: Some fell on rocky ground, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly because the soil was shallow.
6 IEV परन्तु जब उन नए पौधों पर सूर्य का प्रकाश चमका, वे झुलस गए। फिर वे सूख गए क्योंकि उनकी जड़ें गहरी नहीं थीं। BSB BSB: But when the sun rose, the seedlings were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.
7 IEV जैसे उसने बोया, कुछ बीज ऐसी भूमि पर गिरे जिनमें काँटेदार पौधों की जड़ें थीं। बीज बढ़े, पर काँटेदार पौधे भी बड़े और अच्छे पौधों को घेर लिया। इसलिए पौधों से अनाज उत्पन्न नहीं हुआ। BSB BSB: Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the seedlings, and they yielded no crop.
8 IEV परन्तु जैसे उसने बोया, तो शेष बीज अच्छी मिट्टी पर गिरे। वे अंकुरित हुए, और अच्छे से बढ़े, और बहुत अनाज उत्पन्न किया। कुछ पौधों ने बीज का तीस गुणा फल दिया। कुछ ने साठ गुणा फल दिया, कुछ ने सौ गुणा फल दिया।” BSB BSB: Still other seed fell on good soil, where it sprouted, grew up, and produced a crop—one bearing thirtyfold, another sixtyfold, and another a hundredfold.”
9 IEV फिर यीशु ने कहा,“यदि तुम इसे समझना चाहते हो, तो तुम्हें ध्यान से विचार करना चाहिए कि मैंने अभी क्या कहा है।” BSB BSB: Then Jesus said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
10 IEV बाद में, जब वह अकेले थे तो बारह शिष्य और अन्य अनुयाई जो उनके साथ थे, उन्होंने उनसे उन दृष्टान्तों के विषय में पूछा। BSB BSB: As soon as Jesus was alone with the Twelve and those around Him, they asked Him about the parable.
11 IEV उन्होंने उनसे कहा,“मैं तुम्हें यह सन्देश समझाऊँगा कि परमेश्वर स्वयं को राजा के रूप में कैसे प्रकट करते हैं, परन्तु दूसरों के लिए मैं दृष्टान्तों में बात करूँगा। BSB BSB: He replied, “The mystery of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to those on the outside everything is expressed in parables,
12 IEV जब वे देखते हैं कि मैं क्या कर रहा हूँ, वे नहीं सीखेंगे। जब वे मेरी बात सुनते हैं, तो वे समझ नहीं पाएँगे। यदि उन्होंने सीखा या समझ लिया, तो उन्हें खेद होगा कि उन्होंने पाप किया और पाप न करने का निर्णय लेंगे, और परमेश्वर उन्हें क्षमा कर देंगे।” BSB BSB: so that, ‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven.’”
13 IEV फिर उन्होंने उनसे कहा,“क्या तुम इस दृष्टान्त को नहीं समझते हो? तो फिर जब मैं तुमको अन्य दृष्टान्त सुनाऊँगा, तो तुम कैसे समझोगे? BSB BSB: Then Jesus said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? Then how will you understand any of the parables?
14 IEV इस दृष्टान्त में जो मैंने तुमको सुनाया था, जो व्यक्ति बीज बोता है वह किसी ऐसे व्यक्ति का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है जो लोगों को परमेश्वर का सन्देश सुनाता है। BSB BSB: The farmer sows the word.
15 IEV कुछ लोग उस बीज के समान है जो रास्ते पर गिर गए थे जहाँ कुछ बीज गिर गए हैं। जब वे परमेश्वर का सन्देश सुनते हैं, तो शैतान जो उन्होंने सुना था आता है और उन्हें भुलवा देता है। BSB BSB: Some are like the seeds along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them.
16 IEV कुछ लोग उस भूमि के समान हैं, जहाँ चट्टान पर गहरी मिट्टी नहीं थी। जब वे परमेश्वर का सन्देश सुनते हैं, तो वे इसे तुरन्त आनन्द से स्वीकार करते हैं। BSB BSB: Some are like the seeds sown on rocky ground. They hear the word and at once receive it with joy.
17 IEV परन्तु, क्योंकि सन्देश गहराई में नहीं पहुँच पाता है, वे केवल थोड़े समय के लिए विश्वास करते हैं। वे ऐसे पौधों के समान हैं जिनकी जड़ें गहरी नहीं हैं। जब लोग उनसे बुरा व्यवहार करते उन्हें परमेश्वर के सन्देश पर विश्वास करने के कारण सताव सहना पड़ता है तो वे पीड़ित होकर शीघ्र ही, परमेश्वर के सन्देश पर विश्वास करना छोड़ देते हैं। BSB BSB: But they themselves have no root, and they remain for only a season. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.
18 IEV कुछ लोग उस मिट्टी के समान हैं जिसमें काँटेदार झाड़ियाँ हैं। वे लोग परमेश्वर का सन्देश सुनते हैं, BSB BSB: Others are like the seeds sown among the thorns. They hear the word,
19 IEV और संसार की चिन्ता, और धन का धोखा, और वस्तुओं का लालच उनमें समा कर वचन को दबा देता है और वह निष्फल रह जाता है। BSB BSB: but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth, and the desire for other things come in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
20 IEV परन्तु कुछ लोग अच्छी मिट्टी के समान हैं। वे परमेश्वर के सन्देश को सुनते हैं और स्वीकार करते हैं और वे इसे मानते हैं, और वे उन कार्यों को करते हैं जिन्हें परमेश्वर चाहते हैं कि वे करें। वे अच्छे पौधे के समान हैं जो तीस गुणा, साठ गुणा या सौ गुणा अनाज को उत्पन्न करते हैं।” BSB BSB: Still others are like the seeds sown on good soil. They hear the word, receive it, and produce a crop—thirtyfold, sixtyfold, or a hundredfold.”
21 IEV उन्होंने एक और दृष्टान्त सुनाया“लोग निश्चय ही एक तेल के दीपक को इसलिए नहीं जलाते और फिर उसको अपने घर ले कर नहीं आते हैं कि उसके प्रकाश को ढाँक दिया जाए। इसकी अपेक्षा, वे इसे एक दीवट पर रख देते हैं कि प्रकाश दे। BSB BSB: Jesus also said to them, “Does anyone bring in a lamp to put it under a basket or under a bed? Doesn’t he set it on a stand?
22 IEV इसी प्रकार जो छिपे हुए कार्य थे, एक दिन सब लोग उन्हें जानेंगे, और जो बातें गुप्त में हुई हैं- एक दिन सब लोग उन्हें पूरे उजियाले में देखेंगे। BSB BSB: For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be brought to light.
23 IEV यदि तुम इसे समझना चाहते हो, तो तुम्हें सावधानी से विचार करना चाहिए कि तुमने अभी क्या सुना है।” BSB BSB: If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.”
24 IEV “फिर उसने उनसे कहा,“चौकस रहो, कि क्या सुनते हो? जिस नाप से तुम नापते हो उसी से तुम्हारे लिए भी नापा जाएगा, और तुमको अधिक दिया जाएगा। BSB BSB: He went on to say, “Pay attention to what you hear. With the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and even more will be added to you.
25 IEV यदि व्यक्ति को कुछ समझ है, तो उसे और भी प्राप्त होगा। परन्तु यदि किसी व्यक्ति को समझ नहीं है, तो उसके पास जो कुछ भी थोड़ा है, वह उसे खो देगा।” BSB BSB: For whoever has will be given more. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”
26 IEV यीशु ने यह भी कहा,“जब परमेश्वर स्वयं को राजा के रूप में प्रकट करना आरम्भ कर देते हैं, तो वह एक ऐसे व्यक्ति के समान है जो भूमि पर बीज बिखेर रहा है। BSB BSB: Jesus also said, “The kingdom of God is like a man who scatters seed on the ground.
27 IEV इसके बाद वह हर रात सोया और बीजों की चिन्ता किये बिना हर दिन उठा। उस समय के दौरान बीज अंकुरित हो गए और इस प्रकार बढ़े हुए कि उसे समझ नहीं आया। BSB BSB: Night and day he sleeps and wakes, and the seed sprouts and grows, though he knows not how.
28 IEV भूमि ने फसल का उत्पादन अपने आप किया। पहले डाली दिखाई दी, तब बाल दिखाई दी। फिर बाल में पूरे बीज दिखाई दिए। BSB BSB: All by itself the earth produces a crop—first the stalk, then the head, then grain that ripens within.
29 IEV जैसे ही अनाज पका, उसने लोगों को फसल काटने के लिए भेजा, क्योंकि यह अनाज काटने का समय था।” BSB BSB: And as soon as the grain is ripe, he swings the sickle, because the harvest has come.”
30 IEV यीशु ने उन्हें एक और दृष्टान्त सुनाया। उन्होंने कहा,“जब परमेश्वर स्वयं को राजा के रूप में प्रकट करना आरम्भ कर देते हैं, तो यह कैसा है? मैं इसका वर्णन करने के लिए किस दृष्टान्त का उपयोग कर सकता हूँ? BSB BSB: Then He asked, “To what can we compare the kingdom of God? With what parable shall we present it?
31 IEV यह राई के बीज के समान है। तुम जानते हो कि जब हम उन्हें लगाते हैं, तो राई के बीज का क्या होता है। यद्यपि राई का बीज सबसे छोटे बीजों में से हैं, परन्तु वे बड़े पौधे बन जाते हैं। BSB BSB: It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds sown upon the earth.
32 IEV जब वे लगाए जाते हैं, वे बढ़ते हैं और बगीचे के दूसरे पौधों की तुलना में अधिक बड़े हो जाते हैं। उनकी शाखाएँ बड़ी हो जाती हैं कि और पक्षी उनमें घोंसले बना लेते हैं।” BSB BSB: But after it is planted, it grows to be the largest of all garden plants and puts forth great branches, so that the birds of the air nest in its shade.”
33 IEV लोगों को परमेश्वर का सन्देश सुनाते समय यीशु बहुत से दृष्टान्तों का उपयोग करते थे। वह उनकी समझ के अनुसार वचन सुनाते थे। BSB BSB: With many such parables Jesus spoke the word to them, to the extent that they could understand.
34 IEV जब उन्होंने उनसे बात की तो उन्होंने सदा दृष्टान्तों का उपयोग किया। परन्तु वह जब शिष्यों के साथ अकेले होते थे तब वह उन्हें दृष्टान्तों का अर्थ समझाते थे। BSB BSB: He did not tell them anything without using a parable. But privately He explained everything to His own disciples.
35 IEV उसी दिन, जब सूरज डूब रहा था, तब यीशु ने अपने शिष्यों से कहा,“हम झील की दूसरी ओर जाएँगे।” BSB BSB: When that evening came, He said to His disciples, “Let us cross to the other side.”
37 IEV एक तेज हवा चली और लहरें नाव में आने लगी! नाव शीघ्र ही पानी से भर गई थी! BSB BSB: Soon a violent windstorm came up, and the waves were breaking over the boat, so that it was being swamped.
38 IEV यीशु नाव के पीछे के भाग में थे। वह एक तकिए पर अपना सिर रख कर सो रहे थे। तो शिष्यों ने उनको जगाया और कहा,“हे गुरु, क्या आपको चिन्ता नहीं है कि हम मरने वाले हैं?” BSB BSB: But Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on the cushion. So they woke Him and said, “Teacher, don’t You care that we are perishing?”
39 IEV “यीशु ने उठकर हवा को डाँटा और समुद्र से कहा,” शान्त हो जा!” हवा का बहना बन्द हो गया और फिर समुद्र बहुत शान्त हो गया। BSB BSB: Then Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and the sea. “Silence!” He commanded. “Be still!” And the wind died down, and it was perfectly calm.
40 IEV उन्होंने शिष्यों से कहा,“तुम क्यों डरते हो? क्या तुम्हें अभी भी विश्वास नहीं है?” BSB BSB: “Why are you so afraid?” He asked. “Do you still have no faith?”
41 IEV वे बहुत डर गए थे। उन्होंने एक दूसरे से कहा,“यह मनुष्य कौन हैं? हवा और लहरें भी इनका कहना मानती हैं!” BSB BSB: Overwhelmed with fear, they asked one another, “Who is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”
