2 IEV एक दिन रूत ने नाओमी से कहा,“मुझे खेतों में जाने दे कि कटाई करने वाले के द्वारा छोड़ी गयी अनाज की बालियाँ उठाऊँ। मैं किसी भी कटाई करने वाले के पीछे जाऊँगी जो मुझे अनुमति देगा।” नाओमी ने उत्तर दिया,“जा मेरी पुत्री।” BSB BSB: And Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi, “Please let me go into the fields and glean heads of grain after someone in whose sight I may find favor.” “Go ahead, my daughter,” Naomi replied.
3 IEV तब रूत खेतों में जा कर कटाई करने वाले पुरुषों द्वारा छोड़ा गया अनाज उठाने लगी। संयोग से ऐसा हुआ कि जिस खेत में वह कार्य कर रही थी वह उसके ससुर एलीमेलेक के सम्बन्धी बोअज का था। BSB BSB: So Ruth departed and went out into the field and gleaned after the harvesters. And she happened to come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz, who was from the clan of Elimelech.
4 IEV उसी समय, बोअज बैतलहम से लौटा था। उसने कटाई करने वालों का अभिनन्दन किया और कहा,“यहोवा तुम्हारे साथ रहें!” उन्होंने उत्तर दिया,“यहोवा तुझे आशीष दें!” BSB BSB: Just then Boaz arrived from Bethlehem and said to the harvesters, “The LORD be with you.” “The LORD bless you,” they replied.
5 IEV तब बोअज ने रूत को देखा, और अपने सेवकों से पूछा,“वह युवती कौन है?” BSB BSB: And Boaz asked the foreman of his harvesters, “Whose young woman is this?”

Do not go and glean in another field, and do not go away from this place, but stay here close to my servant girls.
9 IEV देख जहाँ लोग कटाई कर रहे हैं, वहाँ मेरी दासियों के पीछे चलना। मैंने कटाई करने वालों से कहा है कि तुझे न सताएँ। जब तुझे प्यास लगे तो उन बर्तनों से पानी पीना जिसे पुरुष भरते हैं।” BSB BSB: Let your eyes be on the field they are harvesting, and follow along after these girls. Indeed, I have ordered the young men not to touch you. And when you are thirsty, go and drink from the jars the young men have filled.”
10 IEV जब उसने ऐसा कहा, उसने उसके सामने घुटने टेके और, भूमि पर मुँह के बल गिर कर कहा,“तू मेरे प्रति इतना दयालु क्यों है? मुझे नहीं लगता था कि तू मुझ पर इतना ध्यान देगा क्योंकि मैं परदेशी हूँ!” BSB BSB: At this, she fell on her face, bowing low to the ground, and said to him, “Why have I found such favor in your eyes that you should take notice of me, even though I am a foreigner?”

14 IEV जब खाने का समय आया, बोअज ने उससे कहा,“यहाँ आ और कुछ खाना खा ले। इस रोटी को ले और सिरके में डुबा कर खा।” जब वह कटाई करने वालों के साथ बैठ गई, तब उसने उसे कुछ भुँजा हुआ अनाज दिया। उसने भरपेट खा लिया और कुछ बचा भी लिया। BSB BSB: At mealtime Boaz said to her, “Come over here; have some bread and dip it into the vinegar sauce.” So she sat down beside the harvesters, and he offered her roasted grain, and she ate and was satisfied and had some left over.

And she brought out what she had saved from her meal and gave it to Naomi.

Blessed be the man who noticed you.” So she told her mother-in-law where she had worked. “The name of the man I worked with today is Boaz,” she said.
20 IEV नाओमी ने अपनी बहू से कहा,“यहोवा उसे आशीष दें! उन्होंने हम जीवितों के प्रति दया दिखाते हुए अपना कार्य करना बन्द नहीं किया, और हमारे पतियों के प्रति जो मर गए हैं दया दिखाई है।” तब उसने कहा,“वह व्यक्ति एलीमेलेक के निकट का सम्बन्धी है, वास्तव में, वह हमारी देखभाल करने के लिए उत्तरदायी लोगों में से एक है।” BSB BSB: Then Naomi said to her daughter-in-law, “May he be blessed by the LORD, who has not withdrawn His kindness from the living or the dead.” Naomi continued, “The man is a close relative. He is one of our kinsman-redeemers.”

22 IEV नाओमी ने उत्तर दिया,“मेरी पुत्री, तेरा दासियों के साथ उसके खेत में जाना अच्छा होगा, क्योंकि यदि तू किसी और के खेत में जाएगी तब कोई तुझे हानि पहुँचा सकता है।” BSB BSB: And Naomi said to her daughter-in-law Ruth, “My daughter, it is good for you to work with his young women, so that nothing will happen to you in another field.”
