5. 5HILNagsabat sila, “Didto sa Betlehem nga sakop sang Judea, kay amo ini ang ginsulat sang isa ka propeta,BSBBSB: “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written:
6. 6HIL“ ‘Ikaw, Betlehem, sa duta sang Juda, indi ikaw ang pinakakubos sa nagapanguna nga mga banwa sa Juda; kay dira sa imo magahalin ang pangulo nga magaatipan sa akon katawhan nga Israelinhon.’”BSBBSB: ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah, for out of you will come a ruler who will be the shepherd of My people Israel.’”
7. 7HILPagkabati sadto ni Herodes, ginpatawag niya sing sekreto ato nga mga eksperto kag ginpamangkot sila kon san-o gid nagguwa ang bituon nga ila nakita.BSBBSB: Then Herod called the Magi secretly and learned from them the exact time the star had appeared.
8. 8HILPagkatapos ginpakadto niya sila sa Betlehem. Nagsiling siya, “Lakat kamo kag pangitaa ninyo sing maayo ang bata. Kag kon makita ninyo siya, pahibalua ninyo ako, para makakadto man ako kag makasimba sa iya.”BSBBSB: And sending them to Bethlehem, he said: “Go and search carefully for the Child, and when you find Him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship Him.”
9. 9HILSang mahambal ini sang hari, naglakat ang mga eksperto. Samtang nagalakat sila nakita nila ang bituon nga ila anay nakita. Gani nalipay gid sila. Dayon ginbuksan nila ang ila dala, kag naghalad sila sa bata sang bulawan, insenso, kag pahamot nga mira.BSBBSB: On coming to the house, they saw the Child with His mother Mary, and they fell down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold and frankincense and myrrh.
11. 12HILPagpuli nila nag-agi sila sa lain nga dalan kay ginpaandaman sila paagi sa damgo nga indi na sila magbalik kay Herodes.BSBBSB: And having been warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they withdrew to their country by another route.
12. 13HILSang makahalin na ang mga tawo nga halin sa east, nagpakita ang anghel sang Ginoo kay Jose sa damgo kag nagsiling, “Bangon ka, dal-a ang bata kag ang iya iloy kag magpalagyo kamo sa Egypt. Didto lang anay kamo magpabilin hasta nga magsiling ako sa inyo nga puwede na kamo makabalik, kay pangitaon ni Herodes ang bata para patyon siya.”BSBBSB: When the Magi had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up!” he said. “Take the Child and His mother and flee to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the Child to kill Him.”
13. 14HILGani sadto gid nga gab-i, nagbangon si Jose kag gindala niya ang mag-iloy didto sa Egypt.BSBBSB: So he got up, took the Child and His mother by night, and withdrew to Egypt,
14. 15HILNagtiner sila didto hasta napatay si Herodes. Ini natabo para matuman ang ginsiling sang Ginoo paagi sa propeta nga nagsiling, “Gintawag ko ang akon anak halin sa Egypt.”BSBBSB: where he stayed until the death of Herod. This fulfilled what the Lord had spoken through the prophet: “Out of Egypt I called My Son.”
15. 16HILSang mahibaluan ni Herodes nga gindayaan siya sang mga eksperto, nangakig gid siya. Nagmando siya nga pamatyon ang tanan nga bata nga lalaki sa Betlehem kag sa palibot sini, nga nagaedad sang duha ka tuig paidalom. Kay suno sa iya nahibaluan sa mga eksperto, mga duha na ka tuig ang nakaligad halin sang ila pagkakita sang bituon.BSBBSB: When Herod saw that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was filled with rage. Sending orders, he put to death all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, according to the time he had learned from the Magi.
16. 17HILSa sina nga pagpamatay sa mga bata, natuman ang ginpropesiya ni Propeta Jeremias nga nagasiling,BSBBSB: Then what was spoken through the prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled:
17. 18HIL“May nabatian nga paghinibi kag pagpanalambiton sa Rama. Nagahibi si Raquel tungod sa iya mga kabataan. Nagahibi siya kag indi na gid maulo-ulohan, tungod kay ang iya mga kabataan nagkalamatay.”BSBBSB: “A voice is heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more.”
18. 19HILSang patay na si Herodes, nagpakita ang anghel sang Ginoo kay Jose sa damgo didto sa Egypt.BSBBSB: After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt.
19. 20HILNagsiling siya, “Bangon ka, dal-a ang bata kag ang iya iloy kag magbalik kamo sa duta sang Israel, tungod kay napatay na ang mga nagatinguha nga magkuha sang kabuhi sang bata.”BSBBSB: “Get up!” he said. “Take the Child and His mother and go to the land of Israel, for those seeking the Child’s life are now dead.”
20. 21HILGani nagbangon si Jose kag gindala niya ang mag-iloy pabalik sa duta sang Israel.BSBBSB: So Joseph got up, took the Child and His mother, and went to the land of Israel.
21. 22HILPero sang pagkabati ni Jose nga si Arkelaus amo ang nagbulos sa iya amay nga si Herodes bilang hari sa Judea, hinadlukan siya nga magpuli didto. Sang mapaandaman pa gid siya paagi sa damgo, nagderetso siya sa probinsya sang Galilea,BSBBSB: But when he learned that Archelaus was reigning in Judea in place of his father Herod, he was afraid to go there. And having been warned in a dream, he withdrew to the district of Galilee,
22. 23HILkag didto sila nag-estar sa banwa sang Nazaret. Gani natuman ang ginsiling sang mga propeta sang una nga tawgon ang Cristo nga Nazaretnon.BSBBSB: and he went and lived in a town called Nazareth. So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophets: “He will be called a Nazarene.”
