6 UDB तब दाऊद ने दमिश्क में अपनी सैनिक चौकियाँ स्थापित कर दी और अराम के लोगों को विवश होकर दाऊद को अपना शासक स्वीकार करना पड़ा, और प्रति वर्ष दाऊद की सरकार को भुगतान करने के लिए कर देना पड़ा। और यहोवा ने दाऊद की सेना को प्रत्येक स्थान में युद्ध जीतने में समर्थ बनाया था। BSB BSB: Then he placed garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and the Arameans became subject to David and brought him tribute. So the LORD made David victorious wherever he went.
7 UDB दाऊद सैनिकों ने हददेजर की सेना के अधिकारियों की सोने की ढालों को लाकर यरूशलेम में रखा। BSB BSB: And David took the gold shields that belonged to the officers of Hadadezer and brought them to Jerusalem.
8 UDB वे हददेजर के तिमत और कून नगरों से बहुत पीतल भी ले आए जिसे दाऊद के पुत्र सुलैमान ने बाद में “समुद्र” नामक बड़ा हौद और मंदिर के लिए खम्भे तथा वस्तुएँ बनाने में काम में लिया। BSB BSB: And from Tibhath and Cun, cities of Hadadezer, David took a large amount of bronze, with which Solomon made the bronze Sea, the pillars, and various bronze articles.
9 UDB जब अराम में हमात शहर के राजा तोऊ ने सुना, कि दाऊद की सेना ने राजा हददेजर की सारी सेना को हरा दिया, BSB BSB: When King Tou of Hamath heard that David had defeated the entire army of Hadadezer king of Zobah,

11 UDB राजा दाऊद ने वह सब सामान यहोवा को समर्पित कर दिया, जैसे अपने एदोम और मोआब चाँदी और सोना था, और अम्मोनियों और पलिश्ती लोगों से और अमालेक के वंशजों से लाए गए सोने चाँदी के साथ किया था। BSB BSB: and King David dedicated these to the LORD, along with the silver and gold he had carried off from all these nations—from Edom and Moab, and from the Ammonites, Philistines, and Amalekites.

13 UDB तब दाऊद ने एदोम में वहां अपने सैनिकों की चौकियाँ बना दीं, और एदोम के लोगों को दाऊद के आधीन होने के लिए विवश होना पड़ा। BSB BSB: He placed garrisons in Edom, and all the Edomites were subject to David. So the LORD made David victorious wherever he went.
14 UDB दाऊद ने सब इस्राएली लोगों पर शासन किया, और उसने उनके लिए सदा वही किया जो कि उचित और निष्पक्ष था। BSB BSB: Thus David reigned over all Israel and administered justice and righteousness for all his people:
15 UDB सरूयाह का पुत्र योआब मुख्य सेनापति था। अहीलूद का पुत्र यहोशापात इतिहास लिखनेवाला था। BSB BSB: Joab son of Zeruiah was over the army; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud was the recorder;
16 UDB अहीतूब का पुत्र सादोक और एब्यातार का पुत्र अबीमेलेक प्रधान याजक थे। शाबशा मंत्री हुआ। BSB BSB: Zadok son of Ahitub and Ahimelech son of Abiathar were priests; Shavsha was the scribe;
17 UDB यहोयादा के पुत्र बनायाह करेतियों और पलेतियों पर जो दाऊद के अंगरक्षक थे प्रधान हुआ। और दाऊद के पुत्र उनके सबसे महत्वपूर्ण अधिकारी थे। BSB BSB: Benaiah son of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and Pelethites; and David’s sons were chief officials at the king’s side.
