2 UDB तब दाऊद ने आज्ञा दी कि इस्राएलियों के बीच रहनेवाले विदेशियों को एकत्र होना चाहिए। जब उन्होंने ऐसा किया, तो उन्होंने उन लोगों में से कुछ को खदानों से भारी पत्थरों को काटने और अपनी सतहों को चिकना करने के लिए नियुक्त किया, कि वे पत्थर परमेश्वर के मंदिर के निर्माण में काम आएँ। BSB BSB: So David gave orders to gather the foreigners in the land of Israel, from whom he appointed stonecutters to prepare finished stones for building the house of God.

Therefore I must make preparations for it.” So David made lavish preparations before his death.
6 UDB तब दाऊद ने अपने पुत्र सुलैमान को बुलाया, और उससे कहा कि उसे यहोवा के लिए एक मंदिर बनाने की व्यवस्था करनी है, जिन परमेश्वर की इस्राएली आराधना करते हैं। BSB BSB: Then David called for his son Solomon and instructed him to build a house for the LORD, the God of Israel.

8 UDB परन्तु यहोवा ने एक भविष्यद्वक्ता के द्वारा मुझे सन्देश दिया तू ने युद्धों में कई लोगों को मारा है। मैंने उन सब लोगों के खून को देखा है जिन्हें तू ने मारा था, इसलिए तू मेरे सम्मान के लिए मंदिर बनाने की व्यवस्था करेगा। BSB BSB: but this word of the LORD came to me: ‘You have shed much blood and waged great wars. You are not to build a house for My Name because you have shed so much blood on the ground before Me.
9 UDB परन्तु तेरा बेटा जो तेरे मरने के बाद इस्राएल का राजा होगा। वह शांतिपूर्ण और गंभीर होगा न कि मनुष्य का खून बहाने वाला। और मैं उसके और उसके आस-पास के देशों में उसके शत्रुओं के बीच शान्ति उत्पन्न करूँगा। उसका नाम सुलैमान होगा, जिसका अर्थ शान्ति के शब्द का सा होगा उसके राज्य में इस्राएल के लोग शान्ति और सुरक्षा में रहेंगे। BSB BSB: But a son will be born to you who will be a man of rest. I will give him rest from all his enemies on every side; for his name will be Solomon, and I will grant to Israel peace and quiet during his reign.
10 UDB वही है जो मेरा सम्मान करने के लिए एक मंदिर बनवाएगा। वह मेरे लिए एक पुत्र की तरह होगा, और मैं उसके कुछ वंशजों को सदा के लिए इस्राएल पर शासन करने का कारण बनूंगा।‘ BSB BSB: He is the one who will build a house for My Name. He will be My son, and I will be his Father. And I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.’

14 UDB मैंने यहोवा के मन्दिर के निर्माण के लिए सामग्री उपलब्ध कराने के लिए कड़ी मेहनत की है। मैंने 3,300 मेट्रिक टन सोना, 33,000 मेट्रिक टन चाँदी एकत्र की है। मैंने लोहा और पीतल एक बड़ी मात्रा में एकत्र किया है, कोई भी इसका वजन नापने में सक्षम नहीं है। मैंने मंदिर की दीवारों के लिए लकड़ी और पत्थर भी एकत्र किए हैं, लेकिन तुझे ऐसी कुछ और वस्तुएँ भी एकत्र करने की आवश्यकता हो सकती है। BSB BSB: Now behold, I have taken great pains to provide for the house of the LORD—100,000 talents of gold, 1,000,000 talents of silver, and bronze and iron too great to be weighed. I have also provided timber and stone, and you may add to them.
15 UDB इस्राएल में ऐसे कई पुरुष हैं जिनको दीवारों,को बनाने के लिए बड़े बड़े पत्थरों को काटने की योग्यता है और सुतार, और विभिन्न प्रकार की चीजें बनाने में बहुत कुशल लोग हैं। BSB BSB: You also have many workers: stonecutters, masons, carpenters, and men skilled in every kind of work—
16 UDB ऐसे कई लोग हैं जो जानते हैं कि कैसे सोने, चाँदी, पीतल और लोहे से चीजें बनाना है। तो अब मैं तुझसे कहता हूँ, मंदिर बनाने का काम शुरू कर और मुझे आशा है कि यहोवा तेरे साथ रहेंगे।“ BSB BSB: in gold and silver, bronze and iron—craftsmen beyond number. Now begin the work, and may the LORD be with you.”
17 UDB तब दाऊद ने आज्ञा दी कि सब इस्राएली प्रधानों को सुलैमान की सहायता करनी होगी। उसने उनसे कहा, BSB BSB: Then David ordered all the leaders of Israel to help his son Solomon:
18 UDB “हमारे परमेश्वर यहोवा निश्चित रूप से तुम्हारे साथ हैं। उन्होंने आस-पास सब देशों के साथ तुम्हारी शान्ति स्थापित कर दी है। उन्होंने मेरी सेना को विजयी होने में समर्थ किया है, इसलिए अब यहोवा और मेरे लोग उन्हें नियंत्रित करते हैं। BSB BSB: “Is not the LORD your God with you, and has He not granted you rest on every side? For He has given the inhabitants of the land into my hand, and the land has been subdued before the LORD and His people.
19 UDB अब तुम्हें अपने पूरे मन से यहोवा का आज्ञा पालन करना होगा। हमारे परमेश्वर यहोवा के लिए मंदिर बनाने की व्यवस्था करने में सहायता करें, कि आप उस पवित्र सन्दूक जिसमें दस आज्ञाएं और अन्य पवित्र वस्तुएं जो यहोवा की सब पवित्र वस्तुएँ उस मंदिर में ले आएँ जिसे तुम यहोवा को सम्मानित करने के लिए तैयार करोगे।“ BSB BSB: Now set your heart and soul to seek the LORD your God. Begin building the sanctuary of the LORD God, so that you may bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD and the holy articles of God into the temple that will be built for the Name of the LORD.”
