4 UDB तू नदी के किनारे का पानी पी सकेगा, और तेरे लिए जो कौवे ले कर आएँगे वह खा सकेगा, क्योंकि मैंने उन्हें तेरे लिए भोजन लाने का आदेश दिया है।" BSB BSB: And you are to drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.”
5 UDB तब एलिय्याह ने वह किया जो यहोवा ने उसे करने के लिए कहा था। वह गया और करीत नाले के पास डेरा डाला। BSB BSB: So Elijah did what the LORD had told him, and he went and lived by the Brook of Cherith, east of the Jordan.

BSB BSB: So Elijah got up and went to Zarephath. When he arrived at the city gate, there was a widow gathering sticks. Elijah called to her and said, “Please bring me a little water in a cup, so that I may drink.”

12 UDB परन्तु उसने उत्तर दिया, "तेरे परमेश्वर जानते हैं कि जो कुछ मैं तुझको बता रही हूँ वह सच है। मेरे घर में मेरे पास रोटी का एक टुकड़ा भी नहीं है। मेरे पास कुप्पी में थोड़ा सा आटा है, और थोड़ा जैतून का तेल। मैं आग जलाने और खाना पकाने के लिए इनका उपयोग करने के लिए कुछ लकड़ियाँ इकट्ठा कर रही थी, और फिर मैं और मेरा बेटा इसे खा ने के बाद मर जाएँगे।" BSB BSB: But she replied, “As surely as the LORD your God lives, I have no bread—only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. Look, I am gathering a couple of sticks to take home and prepare a meal for myself and my son, so that we may eat it and die.”

15 UDB इसलिए उस स्त्री ने वही किया जो एलिय्याह ने उसे करने के लिए कहा था। उसके और उसके बेटे और एलियाह के पास हर दिन का पर्याप्त भोजन था, BSB BSB: So she went and did according to the word of Elijah, and there was food every day for Elijah and the woman and her household.

17 UDB कुछ समय बाद, महिला का बेटा बीमार हो गया। उसकी दशा और भी बदतर हो गई, और अंततः वह मर गया। BSB BSB: Later, the son of the woman who owned the house became ill, and his sickness grew worse and worse, until no breath remained in him.
18 UDB तब वह स्त्री एलिय्याह के पास गई और उससे कहा, "तू एक भविष्यद्वक्ता है, तो तुने मेरे साथ यह क्यों किया? क्या मेरे बेटे की मृत्यु के द्वारा मेरे पापों के लिए मुझे दण्डित करने के लिए आया है?" BSB BSB: “O man of God,” said the woman to Elijah, “what have you done to me? Have you come to remind me of my iniquity and cause the death of my son?”
19 UDB परन्तु एलिय्याह ने उत्तर दिया, "अपने बेटे को इधर ला।" उसने अपने बेटे को उसको दे दिया, और उसने लड़के के शरीर को लिया और उसे कमरे में ले गया जहाँ वह रह रहा था। उसने लड़के के शरीर को अपने बिस्तर पर लिटा दिया। BSB BSB: But Elijah said to her, “Give me your son.” So he took him from her arms, carried him to the upper room where he was staying, and laid him on his own bed.
20 UDB तब एलिय्याह ने यहोवा से कहा, हे मेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा, इस विधवा ने मुझे अपने घर में रहने की अनुमति दी। तो आपने यह विपत्ति क्यों डाली कि उसके बेटे को मरने दिया?" BSB BSB: Then he cried out to the LORD, “O LORD my God, have You also brought tragedy on this widow who has opened her home to me, by causing her son to die?”
21 UDB तब एलिय्याह ने स्वयं को लड़के के शरीर के ऊपर पसार दिया और यहोवा से कहा, "हे मेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा, कृपया इस लड़के को फिर से जीवित कर दीजिए!" उसने यह तीन बार किया। BSB BSB: Then he stretched himself out over the child three times and cried out to the LORD, “O LORD my God, please let this boy’s life return to him!”
22 UDB यहोवा ने एलिय्याह की प्रार्थना सुनी, और उन्होंने लड़के को फिर से जीवित कर दिया। BSB BSB: And the LORD listened to the voice of Elijah, and the child’s life returned to him, and he lived.
23 UDB एलिय्याह लड़के को नीचे ले गया और उसे उसकी माँ को दे दिया। उसने कहा, "देखो, तुम्हारा बेटा जीवित है।" BSB BSB: Then Elijah took the child, brought him down from the upper room into the house, and gave him to his mother. “Look, your son is alive,” Elijah declared.
24 UDB उस स्त्री ने एलिय्याह से कहा, "अब मैं निश्चित रूप से जानती हूँ कि तू एक भविष्यद्वक्ता है और जो बातें तू बोलता है वे सचमुच यहोवा से हैं।" BSB BSB: Then the woman said to Elijah, “Now I know that you are a man of God and that the word of the LORD from your mouth is truth.”
