3 UDB याबेश के अगुवों ने उत्तर दिया, "अगले सात दिनों तक आक्रमण न करना। उन सात दिनों में, हम सब को तुम्हारी यह इच्छा बताने के लिए पूरे इस्राएल में दूत भेज देंगे। यदि कोई हमारी सहायता नहीं करेगा, तो हम आत्मसमर्पण करेंगे।" BSB BSB: “Hold off for seven days,” replied the elders of Jabesh, “and let us send messengers throughout Israel. If there is no one to save us, we will surrender to you.”

8 UDB जब शाऊल ने उन्हें बेजेक में गिना, तो उसने देखा कि वहाँ 300,000 इस्राएली पुरुष थे, साथ ही यहूदा के गोत्र के तीस हजार लोग भी थे। BSB BSB: And when Saul numbered them at Bezek, there were 300,000 Israelites and 30,000 men of Judah.
9 UDB तब शाऊल ने याबेश के लोगों के पास दूतों को यह कहने के लिए भेजा, "कल सुबह धूप तेज़ होने पर हम तुमको बचाएंगे।" दूत गए और याबेश के लोगों को वह संदेश सुनाया, समाचार सुनते ही वे बहुत प्रसन्न हुए। BSB BSB: So they said to the messengers who had come, “Tell the men of Jabesh-gilead: ‘Deliverance will be yours tomorrow by the time the sun is hot.’” And when the messengers relayed this to the men of Jabesh, they rejoiced.
10 UDB तब याबेश के लोगों ने नाहाश से कहा, "कल हम तुझे आत्मसमर्पण करेंगे, और फिर तू जो कुछ भी करना चाहता है हमारे साथ कर सकता है।" BSB BSB: Then the men of Jabesh said to Nahash, “Tomorrow we will come out, and you can do with us whatever seems good to you.”

And the survivors were so scattered that no two of them were left together.

13 UDB परन्तु शाऊल ने उत्तर दिया, "नहीं, हम आज किसी को भी नहीं मारेंगे, क्योंकि आज वह दिन है जब यहोवा ने हम इस्राएलियों को बचाया है। यह खुशी का दिन है, किसी को मारने का नहीं।" BSB BSB: But Saul ordered, “No one shall be put to death this day, for today the LORD has worked salvation in Israel.”
14 UDB तब शमूएल ने लोगों से कहा, "हम सभी गिलगाल जाएंगे, और वहाँ हम फिर से घोषणा करेंगे कि शाऊल हमारा राजा है।" BSB BSB: Then Samuel said to the people, “Come, let us go to Gilgal and renew the kingship there.”

There they sacrificed peace offerings before the LORD, and Saul and all the Israelites rejoiced greatly.
