For it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected Me as their king.

10 UDB तब शमूएल ने उन लोगों को यहोवा की बात सुना दी। BSB BSB: So Samuel spoke all the words of the LORD to the people who were asking him for a king.
11 UDB उसने कहा, "यदि कोई राजा तुम पर शासन करता है, तो वह तुम्हारे साथ यही सब करेगा: वह तुम्हारे पुत्रों को सेना में भर्ती होने के लिए विवश करेगा। वह उनमें से कुछ को मार्ग साफ करने के लिए रथों के सामने दौडाएगा। BSB BSB: He said, “This will be the manner of the king who will reign over you: He will take your sons and appoint them to serve his own chariots and horses, and to run in front of his chariots.

19 UDB लेकिन लोगों ने शमूएल की बातों पर ध्यान नहीं दिया। उन्होंने कहा, "तुम जो कह रहे हो, उसके विषय में हमें कोई चिंता नहीं है! हम बस एक राजा चाहते हैं! BSB BSB: Nevertheless, the people refused to listen to Samuel. “No!” they said. “We must have a king over us.
20 UDB हम अन्य राष्ट्रों के समान बनना चाहते हैं। हम चाहते हैं कि एक राजा हम पर शासन करे और युद्ध में हमारे सैनिकों का नेतृत्व करे। BSB BSB: Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to judge us, to go out before us, and to fight our battles.”
21 UDB शमूएल ने यहोवा से कहा कि लोग क्या कह रहे हैं। BSB BSB: Samuel listened to all the words of the people and repeated them in the hearing of the LORD.
