1 UDB परमेश्वर ने हमें यह उत्तरदायित्व सौंपा है, और उन्होंने हम पर दया भी की थी। इसलिए हम निराश नहीं हैं। BSB BSB: Therefore, since God in His mercy has given us this ministry, we do not lose heart.
2 UDB हम सावधान रहें कि हम लज्जित होने के लिए कुछ न करें, और हमारे पास किसी से भी छिपाने के लिए कुछ नहीं है। हम किसी ऐसी बात की प्रतिज्ञा नहीं करते जो परमेश्वर नहीं देते हैं, और हम उस बात का भरोसा नहीं दिलाते है जो परमेश्वर नहीं देंगे और हम परमेश्वर के वचन को अपनी इच्छा अनुसार नहीं बदल सकते। हम केवल सच बताते हैं। इस प्रकार, हम अपने आप को तुम्हारे सामने प्रस्तुत करते हैं कि हमें परखो क्योंकि हम परमेश्वर के सामने खड़े होते हैं। BSB BSB: Instead, we have renounced secret and shameful ways. We do not practice deceit, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by open proclamation of the truth, we commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
3 UDB अगर सुसमाचार एक पर्दे से छिपाया गया है, तो यह उन लोगों से छिपा हुआ है जो परमेश्वर के बिना मर रहे हैं। BSB BSB: And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.
4 UDB उनके लिए, इस संसार के ईश्वर ने उन्हें सच्चाई के प्रति अंधा कर दिया है क्योंकि वे मसीह के अद्भुत सम्मान के सुसमाचार पर विश्वास नहीं करते- क्योंकि यह मसीह हैं जो हमें दिखाते हैं कि परमेश्वर कैसे हैं। BSB BSB: The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
5 UDB हम तुम पर अपने आप को ऐसे व्यक्ति के समान प्रगट नहीं करते हैं जो तुमको किसी बुराई से बचा सकते हैं। इसकी अपेक्षा, हम मसीह यीशु को हमारे स्वामी के रूप में प्रचार करते हैं, और हम तुम्हारे सेवक हैं क्योंकि हम यीशु से जुड़े हुए हैं। BSB BSB: For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.

7 UDB अब हम परमेश्वर के इन अनमोल वरदानों को अपने शरीरों में धारण करते हैं, जो कि मिट्टी के बर्तनों के जैसे कोमल हैं। इसमें कोई गलती नहीं हो सकती है कि हमारी शक्ति कहाँ से आती है: वह केवल परमेश्वर से आती है BSB BSB: Now we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this surpassingly great power is from God and not from us.
8 UDB हमने कई विभिन्न परेशानियों का सामना किया है, लेकिन उन्होंने हमें नष्ट नहीं किया है। हम इस बारे में भ्रमित हो सकते हैं कि हमें क्या करना चाहिए, परन्तु हम हार कभी नहीं मानते। BSB BSB: We are hard pressed on all sides, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;
9 UDB कुछ लोग हमें हानि पहुँचाने का प्रयास करते हैं, परन्तु हम अकेले नहीं होते हैं; ऐसा लगता है जैसे कुछ लोगों ने हमें मारकर गिरा दिया है, परन्तु हम सदैव उठकर खड़े हो जाते हैं। BSB BSB: persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.
10 UDB हम प्रायः मृत्यु के संकट में होते हैं, जैसे यीशु की मृत्यु हो गई थी, परन्तु हमारे शरीर फिर से जीवित होंगे, क्योंकि यीशु जीवित हैं। BSB BSB: We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.
11 UDB हम में से जो जीवित हैं, परमेश्वर सदैव हमारी अगुवाई करते हैं कि हम मृत्यु का सामना करें क्योंकि हम यीशु में जोड़े गए हैं, जिससे कि जब लोग हमें देखें, तो वे जान सकें कि यीशु जीवित हैं। BSB BSB: For we who are alive are always consigned to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our mortal body.
12 UDB इसलिए तुम देख सकते हो कि मृत्यु हम में अपना काम कर रही है, परन्तु जीवन तुम में काम कर रहा है। BSB BSB: So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.
13 UDB हम परमेश्वर पर भरोसा रखते हैं, जैसे शास्त्रों में कहा गया है: "मैं परमेश्वर पर भरोसा रखता हूँ, यही कारण है कि मैं बोलता हूँ।" हम भी परमेश्वर पर भरोसा रखते हैं, और हम वह भी सुनाते हैं जो उन्होंने हमारे लिए किया है। BSB BSB: And in keeping with what is written, “I believed, therefore I have spoken,” we who have the same spirit of faith also believe and therefore speak,
14 UDB हम जानते हैं कि परमेश्वर, जिन्होंने प्रभु यीशु को मरे हुओं में से जी उठाया है, उनके साथ हमें भी मरे हुओं में से जी उठाएँगे, और यीशु तुम्हारे साथ हमें वहाँ ले जाएँगे, जहाँ परमेश्वर हैं। BSB BSB: knowing that the One who raised the Lord Jesus will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in His presence.
15 UDB मैं ने जितना भी कष्ट उठाया है, वह तुम्हारी सहायता करने के लिए है, जिससे कि अधिक से अधिक लोग जान सकें कि कैसे परमेश्वर उन्हें स्वतंत्र रूप से प्रेम करते हैं, और इसलिए वे उनकी अधिक से अधिक स्तुति कर सकें। BSB BSB: All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is extending to more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow, to the glory of God.
16 UDB हम निराश नहीं हैं जब हमारे शरीर बाहर से प्रतिदिन थोड़ा-थोड़ा मर रहे हैं, परमेश्वर हमें प्रतिदिन भीतर से नया बना रहे हैं। BSB BSB: Therefore we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, yet our inner self is being renewed day by day.
17 UDB क्योंकि दु:खों का यह थोड़ा और आसान समय हमें उस दिन के लिए तैयार कर रहा है, जब परमेश्वर हमें सदा के लिए अद्भुत बना देंगे, ऐसा अद्भुत जिसकी कोई तुलना या व्याख्या नहीं कर सकता। BSB BSB: For our light and momentary affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory that is far beyond comparison.
18 UDB क्योंकि हम उन चीजों की प्रतीक्षा नहीं कर रहे हैं जिनको हम देख सकते हैं, परन्तु उन चीजों की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे हैं जिनको हम नहीं देख सकते हैं। जिन चीजों को हम अब देख सकते हैं वे अस्थायी हैं, परन्तु जिन चीजों को हम नहीं देख सकते, वे सदा तक बनी रहती हैं। BSB BSB: So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
