1 UDB यहोवा हमारे परमेश्वर ने मुझे दर्शन में दिखाया कि वह हमारी फसलों को नष्ट करने के लिए टिड्डियों को भेजनेवाले हैं। यह राजा के हिस्से की घास की कटाई के ठीक बाद और बाकी की तैयार घास के काटने से पहले होने वाला था। BSB BSB: This is what the Lord GOD showed me: He was preparing swarms of locusts just after the king’s harvest, as the late spring crop was coming up.

How will Jacob survive, since he is so small?”

It consumed the great deep and devoured the land.

9 UDB मूर्तिपूजा के वे पहाड़ी स्थान नष्ट हो जाएँगे जहाँ इसहाक के वंशज मूर्तियों की पूजा करते हैं। और इस्राएल में अन्य महत्वपूर्ण पवित्र स्थान भी नष्ट हो जाएँगे। और मैं तुम्हारे दुश्मनों को तलवार से तुम्हारे लोगों पर हमला करने में समर्थ बनाऊँगा, और वे राजा यारोबाम और उसके सभी वंशजों से छुटकारा पाएँगे।” BSB BSB: The high places of Isaac will be deserted, and the sanctuaries of Israel will be laid waste; and I will rise up against the house of Jeroboam with My sword.”
10 UDB तब बेतेल के पुजारी अमस्याह ने इस्राएल के राजा यारोबाम को एक संदेश भेजा। संदेश में उसने कहा, “आमोस इस्राएली लोगों के बीच तुम्हारे खिलाफ षड्यंत्र कर रहा है। मुझे चिंता है कि इस देश के लोग यह नहीं जानते होंगे कि वह गलत है। BSB BSB: Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent word to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, “Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel. The land cannot bear all his words,

15 UDB परन्तु यहोवा ने मुझे मेरी भेड़ों की देखभाल करने से दूर कर दिया, और उसने मुझसे कहा, इस्राएल चला जा और मेरे लोगों के लिए भविष्यद्वाणी कर! BSB BSB: But the LORD took me from following the flock and said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to My people Israel.’
16 UDB तुमने मुझसे कहा, भविष्यद्वाणी मत कर और यह मत कह कि इस्राएल के लोगों के साथ भयानक बातें होंगी; उन बातों को कहना बंद कर! BSB BSB: Now, therefore, hear the word of the LORD. You say: ‘Do not prophesy against Israel; do not preach against the house of Isaac.’
17 UDB इसलिए सुनो कि यहोवा तुम्हारे विषय में क्या कहते हैं: तुम्हारी पत्नी इस शहर में वेश्या बन जाएगी; तुम्हारे बेटे और बेटियाँ मर जाएँगे क्योंकि उनके दुश्मन उन्हें मार देंगे। अन्य लोग तुम्हारी भूमि को मापेंगे और इसे आपस में बाँट लेंगे; और तुम स्वयं पराए देश में मर जाओगे। और निश्चित रूप से इस्राएल के लोगों को अपना देश छोड़ना होगा और बंधुआई में जाना होगा।” BSB BSB: Therefore this is what the LORD says: ‘Your wife will become a prostitute in the city, and your sons and daughters will fall by the sword. Your land will be divided by a measuring line, and you yourself will die on pagan soil. And Israel will surely go into exile, away from their homeland.’”
