1 UDB “ये आज्ञाएं और नियम और विधियाँ हमारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने मुझे तुम सबको सिखाने का आदेश दिया है। वे चाहते हैं कि तुम उस देश में जिसमें तुम प्रवेश करने और कब्जा करने वाले हो, उनका पालन करें। BSB BSB: These are the commandments and statutes and ordinances that the LORD your God has instructed me to teach you to follow in the land that you are about to enter and possess,
2 UDB वे चाहते हैं कि तुम उनका सम्मान करो, और वे चाहते हैं कि तुम और तुम्हारे वंशज हमेशा इन सभी नियमों और विधियों का पालन करो जो मैं तुमको दे रहा हूँ, ताकि तुम लंबे समय तक जीवित रह सको। BSB BSB: so that you and your children and grandchildren may fear the LORD your God all the days of your lives by keeping all His statutes and commandments that I give you, and so that your days may be prolonged.

5 UDB तुमको अपने पुरे प्राण से और अपनी सभी भावनाओं से और हर रीति से उन से प्रेम करना चाहिए। BSB BSB: And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
6 UDB इन आदेशों को कभी न भूलें जिन्हें मैं आज तुमको दे रहा हूं। BSB BSB: These words I am commanding you today are to be upon your hearts.
7 UDB उन्हें बार-बार अपने बच्चों को सिखाओ। उनके विषय में हर समय बातें करो। जब तुम अपने घरों में होते हो और जब तुम बाहर चलते हो, जब तुम लेटते हो और जब तुम जागते हो तब उनके विषय में बातें करो। BSB BSB: And you shall teach them diligently to your children and speak of them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
8 UDB उन्हें छोटी चर्मपत्रियों पर लिखो और उन्हें अपनी बाहों पर बांध लो, और उन्हें अपने मांग टिके पर लिखो जिन्हें तुम अपने माथे पर रखते हो ताकि तुम उन्हें याद रख सको। BSB BSB: Tie them as reminders on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.

10 UDB हमारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुम्हारे पूर्वज अब्राहम और इसहाक और याकूब से ईमानदारी से वादा किया था कि वे तुमको वह भूमि देंगे जिसमें पहले से ही बड़े और समृद्ध शहर हैं जिन्हें तुमने नहीं बनाया था। BSB BSB: And when the LORD your God brings you into the land He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, that He would give you—a land with great and splendid cities that you did not build,

13 UDB तुम्हें हमारे परमेश्वर यहोवा का सम्मान करना चाहिए, और तुमको केवल उनकी आराधना करनी चाहिए। जब तुम सच्चाई बताने के लिए या कुछ करने के लिए गंभीर शपथ लेते हो, तो उसे यहोवा के नाम पर लो। BSB BSB: Fear the LORD your God, serve Him only, and take your oaths in His name.
14 UDB तुमको किसी अन्य देवताओं की पूजा नहीं करनी चाहिए जिनकी पूजा इस देश के लोग करते हैं। BSB BSB: Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you.
15 UDB हमारे परमेश्वर यहोवा, जो तुम्हारे बीच रहते हैं, उन लोगों को स्वीकार नहीं करेंगे जो किसी अन्य देवता की पूजा करते हैं। यदि तुम किसी अन्य देवता की पूजा करते हो, तो यहोवा तुमसे बहुत क्रोधित होंगे, और वे तुमको पूरी तरह से नष्ट कर देंगे। BSB BSB: For the LORD your God, who is among you, is a jealous God. Otherwise the anger of the LORD your God will be kindled against you, and He will wipe you off the face of the earth.
16 UDB यह जानने के लिए पाप न करो कि यहोवा तुमको दंडित करेंगे या नहीं, जैसा कि तुम्हारे पूर्वजों ने मस्सा में किया था। BSB BSB: Do not test the LORD your God as you tested Him at Massah.
17 UDB सुनिश्चित करो कि तुम हमेशा सभी नियमों, कठिन निर्देशों और विधियों का पालन करते हो जो उन्होंने तुम्हें दिए हैं। BSB BSB: You are to diligently keep the commandments of the LORD your God and the testimonies and statutes He has given you.

21 UDB तब तुम उन्हें बताओगे, ‘हमारे पूर्वज मिस्र में राजा के दास थे, परन्तु यहोवा उन्हें अपनी महान शक्ति के द्वारा मिस्र से बाहर निकाल लाए। BSB BSB: then you are to tell him, “We were slaves of Pharaoh in Egypt, but the LORD brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand.
22 UDB उन्होंने परमेश्वर को मिस्र के राजा, प्रजा और अधिकारियों पर कई प्रकार के चमत्कार और भयानक कार्य करते देखा। BSB BSB: Before our eyes the LORD inflicted great and devastating signs and wonders on Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his household.
23 UDB उन्होंने मिस्र से हमारे पूर्वजों को बचाया और उन्हें यह देश देने के लिए यहां लाए, जिसकी उन्होंने हमारे पूर्वजों से ईमानदारी से वादा किया था। BSB BSB: But He brought us out from there to lead us in and give us the land that He had sworn to our fathers.

25 UDB यहोवा हमारे परमेश्वर हमें स्वीकार करेंगे यदि हम सावधानी से वह सब कुछ मानें जो उन्होंने हमें करने का आदेश दिया है।'" BSB BSB: And if we are careful to observe every one of these commandments before the LORD our God, as He has commanded us, then that will be our righteousness.”
