The king was sitting on his royal throne in the royal courtroom, facing the entrance.

The king extended the gold scepter in his hand toward Esther, and she approached and touched the tip of the scepter.

4 UDB एस्तेर ने उत्तर दिया, “हे महाराज, यदि इससे तुम खुश हो, तो क्या तुम और हामान एक दावत के लिए आएँगे जिसे मैंने तुम्हारे लिए तैयार किया है?” BSB BSB: “If it pleases the king,” Esther replied, “may the king and Haman come today to the banquet I have prepared for the king.”
5 UDB राजा ने अपने सेवकों से कहा, “जाओ और हामान को जल्दी से आने और एस्तेर ने जो कहा है, उसे करने के लिए कहो!” अतः राजा और हामान उस दावत में गए जो एस्तेर ने तैयार की थी। BSB BSB: “Hurry,” commanded the king, “and bring Haman, so we can do as Esther has requested.” So the king and Haman went to the banquet that Esther had prepared.
6 UDB जब दावत में दाखमधु बांटा जा रहा था, राजा ने एस्तेर से कहा, “तुम्हारी याचना क्या है? वह पूरी की जाएगी। तुम्हारा अनुरोध क्या है? यदि तुम राज्य का आधा भाग भी मांगो, तो मैं वो भी तुम्हें दे दूँगा।” BSB BSB: And as they drank their wine, the king said to Esther, “What is your petition? It will be given to you. What is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, it will be fulfilled.”
7 UDB एस्तेर ने उत्तर दिया, “मेरी याचना और मेरा अनुरोध यह है, BSB BSB: Esther replied, “This is my petition and my request:
8 UDB अगर तुम मुझसे प्रसन्न हो, यदि तुम मेरे लिए ऐसा करना चाहते हो: तो क्या तुम और हामान कल एक और भोज के लिए आओगे, जो मैं तुम्हारे लिए तैयार कर रही हूँ। उस समय, मैं तुम्हारे प्रश्न का उत्तर दूँगी।” BSB BSB: If I have found favor in the sight of the king, and if it pleases the king to grant my petition and fulfill my request, may the king and Haman come tomorrow to the banquet I will prepare for them. Then I will answer the king’s question.”
9 UDB भोज से निकलकर जाते समय हामान बहुत खुश था। परन्तु उसने मोर्दकै को महल के फाटक पर बैठा देखा, और एक बार फिर, मोर्दकै हामान के सामने खड़ा नहीं हुआ या उसके सामने डर से काँपा नहीं। इसलिए हामान मोर्दकै के प्रति क्रोध से भर गया। BSB BSB: That day Haman went out full of joy and glad of heart. At the king’s gate, however, he saw Mordecai, who did not rise or tremble in fear at his presence. And Haman was filled with rage toward Mordecai.

14 UDB तब उसकी पत्नी जेरेश ने हामान और उसके सभी दोस्तों से कहा, “तुम जल्दी से फाँसी का एक तख्ता क्यों नहीं बनाते? इसे तेईस मीटर ऊँचा बनाओ। तब सुबह राजा से इसके विषय बातें करके मोर्दकै को उस पर लटका दो। उसके बाद, तुम राजा के साथ भोज में जा सकते हो और खुश रह सकते हो।“इस विचार ने हामान को प्रसन्न किया, और उसने फाँसी का तख्ता बनवाया। BSB BSB: His wife Zeresh and all his friends told him, “Have them build a gallows fifty cubits high, and ask the king in the morning to have Mordecai hanged on it. Then go to the banquet with the king and enjoy yourself.” The advice pleased Haman, and he had the gallows constructed.
