1 UDB एक दिन मूसा मिद्यानी याजक, अपने ससुर यित्रों की भेड़ बकरियों को जंगल में चरा रहा था। उन्हें चराते-चराते वह होरेब पर्वत पर गया। BSB BSB: Meanwhile, Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.
2 UDB उस पर्वत पर परमेश्वर ने स्वर्गदूत के रूप में एक जलती हुई झाड़ी में मूसा को दर्शन दिया। जब मूसा ने उस झाड़ी को देखा कि वह झाड़ी आग से जल तो रही थी परन्तु भस्म नहीं हो रही थी। BSB BSB: There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a blazing fire from within a bush. Moses saw the bush ablaze with fire, but it was not consumed.
3 UDB मूसा ने सोचा, “मैं निकट जाकर इस विचित्र दृश्य को देखूंगा हूँ। यह झाड़ी आग में जलकर भस्म क्यों नहीं हो रही है?” BSB BSB: So Moses thought, “I must go over and see this marvelous sight. Why is the bush not burning up?”
4 UDB यहोवा ने मूसा को झाड़ी के निकट आते देखा, तो उन्होंने मूसा से कहा, “मूसा, मूसा!” मूसा ने परमेश्वर से कहा, “मैं यहाँ हूँ।” BSB BSB: When the LORD saw that he had gone over to look, God called out to him from within the bush, “Moses, Moses!” “Here I am,” he answered.
5 UDB परमेश्वर ने कहा, “झाड़ी के निकट मत आ! क्योंकि मैं परमेश्वर हूँ, जिस भूमि पर तू खड़ा है, वह मेरी है। इसलिए मेरे सम्मान में अपने जूते उतार दे।” BSB BSB: “Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”
6 UDB परमेश्वर ने कहा, “मैं परमेश्वर हूँ, मैं तेरे पूर्वज अब्राहम, इसहाक और याकूब का पूजनीय परमेश्वर हूँ।” मूसा डर गया था कि अगर वह परमेश्वर को देखेगा तो परमेश्वर उसे मार डालेंगे इसलिए वह पीछे मुड़ गया। BSB BSB: Then He said, “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.
7 UDB तब यहोवा ने कहा, “मैंने देखा है कि मिस्र में मिस्रियों ने मेरे लोगों के साथ कैसा व्यवहार किया है। मैंने सुना है कि दासों के सरदार उनके साथ क्या कर रहे है। मुझे ज्ञात है कि मेरे लोग कैसे पीड़ित हो रहे है। BSB BSB: The LORD said, “I have indeed seen the affliction of My people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their oppressors, and I am aware of their sufferings.
8 UDB इसलिए मैं उनको मिस्रियों से मुक्ति दिलाने के लिए स्वर्ग से उतर आया हूँ। मैं उन्हें एक उत्तम और विशाल देश में ले जाऊँगा। एक ऐसी भूमि में जहाँ वे अपने लिए फसलों का उत्पादन कर सकते हैं और अधिक पशुओं को पाल सकते हैं। यह वही स्थान है जहाँ कनानी, हित्ती, एमोरी, परिज्जी, हिब्बी, और यबूसी रह रहे है। BSB BSB: I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. 9 UDB यह सच है कि मैंने अपने इस्राएली लोगों को रोते हुए सुना है। मैंने देखा है कि मिस्र के लोग उनके साथ कैसा बुरा व्यवहार करते है। BSB BSB: And now the cry of the Israelites has reached Me, and I have seen how severely the Egyptians are oppressing them.
10 UDB इसलिए मैं तुझे मिस्र के राजा के पास भेज रहा हूँ। तू मेरे इस्राएली लोगों को मिस्र से निकाल कर ले जाने में उनकी अगुवाई करेगा।” BSB BSB: Therefore, go! I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring My people the Israelites out of Egypt.”
11 UDB परन्तु मूसा ने परमेश्वर से कहा, “मैं अपने लोगों को मिस्र से बाहर लाने के लिए राजा के पास जाने के योग्य नहीं हूँ।” BSB BSB: But Moses asked God, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”
12 UDB परमेश्वर ने कहा, “मैं अपने लोगों को मिस्र से निकालने में तेरे साथ रहूंगा। जब तू उन्हें मिस्र से निकाल कर लाएगा तब तुम लोग इसी पर्वत पर, ठीक इसी स्थान पर, मेरी आराधना करना। इससे प्रकट होगा कि मैंने ही तुझे उनके पास भेजा था।" BSB BSB: “I will surely be with you,” God said, “and this will be the sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, all of you will worship God on this mountain.”
13 UDB मूसा ने परमेश्वर से कहा, “यदि मैं इस्राएलियों के पास जाकर कहूँ, ‘तुम्हारे पूर्वजों के पूजनीय परमेश्वर ने मुझे भेजा है,’ तो वे मुझसे पूछेंगे, ‘उनका नाम क्या है?’ तो मैं उन्हें क्या उत्तर दूँगा?" BSB BSB: Then Moses asked God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is His name?’ What should I tell them?”
15 UDB परमेश्वर ने मूसा से यह भी कहा, “आवश्यक है कि तू इस्राएलियों से कहे, ‘तुम्हारे पूर्वजों के परमेश्वर, जिनकी आराधना अब्राहम, इसहाक और याकूब ने की, उन्ही ने मुझे तुम्हारे पास भेजा है। मेरा सदाकालिन नाम यहोवा है। और तुम्हारी सब पीढ़ियाँ मुझे इसी नाम से जानेंगी।' BSB BSB: God also told Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘The LORD, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This is My name forever, and this is how I am to be remembered in every generation.
16 UDB मिस्र जा और बुजुर्गों को एकत्र कर। उनसे कह, ‘यहोवा, जिस परमेश्वर की अब्राहम, इसहाक और याकूब ने आराधना की थी, उस परमेश्वर ने मुझे दर्शन देकर कहा है, 'तुम पर हो रहे मिस्रियों के अत्याचार को मैंने देखा है। BSB BSB: Go, assemble the elders of Israel and say to them, ‘The LORD, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—has appeared to me and said: I have surely attended to you and have seen what has been done to you in Egypt.
17 UDB मैं प्रतिज्ञा करता हूँ कि मैं तुम्हें मिस्र के इस अत्याचार से मुक्ति दिलाऊँगा और तुम्हें कनानियों, हित्तियों, एमोरियों, परिज्जियों, हिब्बियों और यबूसियों के देश में ले जाऊँगा। वह एक अति उत्तम स्थान है जहाँ तुम लोग अच्छी फसल उगा पाओगे और पशु पालन भी कर पाओगे।' BSB BSB: And I have promised to bring you up out of your affliction in Egypt, into the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites—a land flowing with milk and honey.’
18 UDB इस्राएली बुजुर्ग वहीं करेंगे जो तू उनसे कहेगा। तब तू और बुजुर्ग मिस्र के राजा के पास जाओगे और तुम उससे कहोगे, ‘इब्री लोगों का परमेश्वर यहोवा है। हमारे परमेश्वर हम लोगों के पास आए थे। उन्होंने हम लोगों से तीन दिन तक मरूभूमि में यात्रा करने के लिए कहा है कि हम यहोवा, हमारे परमेश्वर के लिए बलियाँ चढ़ा सकें।' BSB BSB: The elders of Israel will listen to what you say, and you must go with them to the king of Egypt and tell him, ‘The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Now please let us take a three-day journey into the wilderness, so that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God.’
19 UDB लेकिन मैं जानता हूँ कि मिस्र का राजा तुम्हें तब ही जाने देगा जब वह देखेगा कि उसके पास कोई अन्य मार्ग नहीं है। BSB BSB: But I know that the king of Egypt will not allow you to go unless a mighty hand compels him.
20 UDB इसलिए मैं अपनी शक्ति का उपयोग करके वहाँ कई चमत्कार करूँगा। फिर वह तुम लोगों को जाने देगा। BSB BSB: So I will stretch out My hand and strike the Egyptians with all the wonders I will perform among them. And after that, he will release you.
21 UDB और जब ऐसा होगा तब मैं अपने लोगों को मिस्रियों में सम्मान के योग्य बनाऊँगा कि जब वे वहाँ से निकलें तब वे उन्हें यात्रा के लिए आवश्यक सामान दें। BSB BSB: And I will grant this people such favor in the sight of the Egyptians that when you leave, you will not go away empty-handed.
22 UDB उस समय, प्रत्येक इब्री स्त्री अपने पड़ोस में रहने वाली मिस्री स्त्रीयों के सामने अपनी मांग रखेगी। मिस्र के लोग तुमको अपने चाँदी और सोने के गहने और कपड़े देंगे। तुम इन वस्तुओं को अपने बच्चों को पहनाना। इस प्रकार तुम मिस्र के लोगों से सब कुछ ले लोगे।“ BSB BSB: Every woman shall ask her neighbor and any woman staying in her house for silver and gold jewelry and clothing, and you will put them on your sons and daughters. So you will plunder the Egyptians.”
