2 UDB जब उन्होंने पृथ्वी की रचना करना आरंभ किया तब पृथ्वी आकार रहित और सुनसान थी। गहरे जल की सतह पर अन्धकार था और परमेश्वर के आत्मा जल पर मण्डराते थे। BSB BSB: Now the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.
3 UDB परमेश्वर ने कहा, "मैं वहाँ प्रकाश होने का आदेश देता हूँँ," और वहाँ प्रकाश हो गया। BSB BSB: And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
4 UDB परमेश्वर प्रकाश से प्रसन्न हुए। फिर उन्होंने कुछ स्थानों को कुछ समय में प्रकाशित कर दिया, जबकि अन्य स्थानों पर अभी भी अन्धकार था। BSB BSB: And God saw that the light was good, and He separated the light from the darkness.
5 UDB उन्होंने प्रकाश को "दिन" का नाम दिया और अन्धकार को "रात" का नाम दिया। शाम हुई फिर सुबह हुई, पहला दिन हो गया। BSB BSB: God called the light “day,” and the darkness He called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
6 UDB तब परमेश्वर ने कहा, "मैं आदेश देता हूँँ कि जल दो भागों में बँट जाए और मध्य में विशाल मेहराब के समान खाली स्थान हो।" BSB BSB: And God said, “Let there be an expanse between the waters, to separate the waters from the waters.”
7 UDB और ऐसा ही हुआ। परमेश्वर ने एक विशाल मेहराब के समान खाली स्थान बनाई और इसके ऊपर के जल को, इसके नीचे के जल से अलग किया। BSB BSB: So God made the expanse and separated the waters beneath it from the waters above. And it was so.
8 UDB परमेश्वर ने विशाल मेहराब को "आकाश" का नाम दिया। शाम हुई फिर सुबह हुई, दूसरा दिन हो गया। BSB BSB: God called the expanse “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.
9 UDB तब परमेश्वर ने कहा, "मैं आकाश के नीचे के जल को एक स्थान पर एकत्र होने का आदेश देता हूँँ जिससे सूखी भूमि ऊपर आए और दिखाई दे।" और ऐसा ही हुआ। BSB BSB: And God said, “Let the waters under the sky be gathered into one place, so that the dry land may appear.” And it was so.
10 UDB परमेश्वर ने सूखी भूमि को "पृथ्वी", और एकत्रित जल को "समुद्र" नाम दिया। परमेश्वर पृथ्वी और समुद्रों को देखकर प्रसन्न हुए। BSB BSB: God called the dry land “earth,” and the gathering of waters He called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.
11 UDB तब परमेश्वर ने कहा, "मैं पृथ्वी को अनेक प्रकार के पौधे उगाने का आदेश देता हूँँ जो स्वयं का पुन: उत्पादन करें- जिनमें बीज वाले पौधे हों और ऐसे वृक्ष भी हों जो बीज वाले फल दें" और ऐसा ही हुआ। BSB BSB: Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth vegetation: seed-bearing plants and fruit trees, each bearing fruit with seed according to its kind.” And it was so.
12 UDB तब पौधे पृथ्वी पर बढ़े। प्रत्येक प्रकार के पौधे ने अपनी जाति के बीज को उत्पन्न किया, और प्रत्येक प्रकार के वृक्ष ने फल के साथ अपनी जाति के बीज भी उत्पन्न किये। परमेश्वर पौधों और वृक्षों से प्रसन्न हुए। BSB BSB: The earth produced vegetation: seed-bearing plants according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
13 UDB शाम हुई फिर सुबह हुई, तीसरा दिन हो गया। BSB BSB: And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.
15 UDB मैं इन ज्योतियों को पृथ्वी पर चमकने का आदेश भी देता हूँँ।" और ऐसा ही हुआ। BSB BSB: And let them serve as lights in the expanse of the sky to shine upon the earth.” And it was so.
16 UDB परमेश्वर ने उनमें से दो को बहुत बड़ी ज्योति बनाया। परमेश्वर ने उन में से बड़ी ज्योति को दिन पर शासन करने के लिए बनाया और छोटी को रात पर शासन करने के लिए। उन्होंने तारे भी बनाए। BSB BSB: God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night. And He made the stars as well.
17 UDB परमेश्वर ने इन ज्योतियों को आकाश में स्थित किया कि वे पृथ्वी पर प्रकाश दें, BSB BSB: God set these lights in the expanse of the sky to shine upon the earth,
18 UDB दिन और रात पर शासन करें और अन्धकार को प्रकाश से अलग करें। परमेश्वर ज्योतियों को देखकर प्रसन्न हुए। BSB BSB: to preside over the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.
19 UDB शाम हुई फिर सुबह हुई, इस प्रकार चौथा दिन हो गया। BSB BSB: And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.
21 UDB इस प्रकार परमेश्वर ने समुद्र में बहुत बड़े-बड़े जल-जन्तु बनाए, और उन्होंने जल में अत्याधिक संख्या में अन्य सभी जल-जन्तु भी बनाए। उन्होंने पंखवाले हर प्रकार के पक्षियों को भी बनाया। ये सभी प्राणी स्वयं की संतान पैदा करने में सक्षम होंगे। परमेश्वर ने जो कुछ बनाया था उसे देखकर वे प्रसन्न हुए। BSB BSB: So God created the great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters teemed according to their kinds, and every winged bird after its kind. And God saw that it was good.
22 UDB परमेश्वर ने इन जानवरों को आशीष दी। उन्होंने कहा, "संतान उत्पन्न करो और असंख्य हो जाओ। मैं चाहता हूँँ कि जल के जीव सभी जलाशयों में रहें, और पक्षी भी असंख्य हो जायें।" BSB BSB: Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters of the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.”
23 UDB शाम हुई फिर सुबह हुई, इस प्रकार पांचवाँ दिन हो गया। BSB BSB: And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.
25 UDB परमेश्वर ने सभी प्रकार के जंगली जानवरों, घरेलू जानवरों और सभी प्रकार के भूमि पर रेंगने वाले जानवरों को बनाया। वे सभी अपनी जाति के जानवरों को उत्पन्न कर सकते थे। परमेश्वर उनसे प्रसन्न हुए। BSB BSB: God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that crawls upon the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
28 UDB परमेश्वर ने उन्हें आशीष दी और कहा, "बहुत से बच्चे पैदा करो, जो पूरी पृथ्वी पर निवास करें और उस पर शासन करें। मैं चाहता हूँँ कि तुम समुद्र की मछलियों और आकाश के पक्षियों और धरातल के सभी जीव जन्तुओं पर शासन करो।" BSB BSB: God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and every creature that crawls upon the earth.”
30 UDB मैंने सभी हरे पेड़-पौधे जंगली जानवरों, पक्षियों, और पृथ्वी के जीव-जन्तु के भोजन के लिए दिये है क्योंकि उनमें जीवन देने की क्षमता है। और ऐसा ही हुआ। BSB BSB: And to every beast of the earth and every bird of the air and every creature that crawls upon the earth—everything that has the breath of life in it—I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so.
