1 UDB तब परमेश्वर ने नूह और उसके बेटों को आशीष दी। परमेश्वर ने उनसे कहा, "मैं चाहता हूँँ कि तुम बहुत से संतान पैदा करो जो पूरी पृथ्वी पर भर जाएं। BSB BSB: And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth.
2 UDB पृथ्वी के सभी बड़े जानवर, हर एक पक्षी, पृथ्वी पर रेंगने वाला हर एक जीव, हर एक मछली तुम से डरेंगे। तुम इन सभी के ऊपर शासन करोगे। मैं उन्हें तुम्हारे अधिकार में रखता हूँँ। BSB BSB: The fear and dread of you will fall on every living creature on the earth, every bird of the air, every creature that crawls on the ground, and all the fish of the sea. They are delivered into your hand.
3 UDB पहले मैंने तुमको हरे पेड़-पौधे खाने की अनुमति दी थी। लेकिन अब तुम उन सभी को अपना भोजन बना सकते हो जिनमें प्राण है और जो चलते फिरते हैं। BSB BSB: Everything that lives and moves will be food for you; just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you all things.
4 UDB लेकिन तुम उस मांस को नहीं खाना जिसमें खून है, क्योंकि उसके खून में उसका जीवन है। BSB BSB: But you must not eat meat with its lifeblood still in it.
5 UDB जो कोई भी मनुष्य को मारेगा मैं उसे दण्डित करूँगा- ताकि वह यहोवा के प्रति उत्तरदायी हो- चाहे वह पशु हो या मनुष्य। हत्यारों को अपने अपराधों के लिए पीड़ा सहनी पड़ेगी और अपने जीवन से ही उसका भुगतान करना होगा। यहाँ तक कि जब एक जानवर किसी व्यक्ति को मारता है, तब भी उस जानवर की जान लेनी होगी क्योंकि उसने मनुष्य का जीवन लिया है। BSB BSB: And surely I will require the life of any man or beast by whose hand your lifeblood is shed. I will demand an accounting from anyone who takes the life of his fellow man:
6 UDB क्योंकि मैंने मनुष्य को अपने स्वरूप में बनाया है इसलिए मैं जोर देकर कहता हूँ कि यदि कोई व्यक्ति दूसरे व्यक्ति की हत्या करता है तो लोगों को उसे मार डालना चाहिए। कोई भी किसी और का खून बहाता है उसका अपना भी खून बहेगा। BSB BSB: Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man his blood will be shed; for in His own image God has made mankind.
7 UDB तुमसे मैं यह चाहता हूँ कि तुम बहुत सारी संतान पैदा करो ताकि वे और उनके वंशज पूरी पृथ्वी पर रह सकें।" BSB BSB: But as for you, be fruitful and multiply; spread out across the earth and multiply upon it.”
9 UDB "ध्यान से सुनो। अब मैं तुम्हें और तुम्हारे वंशजों को वचन देता हूँँ, BSB BSB: “Behold, I now establish My covenant with you and your descendants after you,
10 UDB मैं यह वचन तुम्हारे साथ उस हर प्राणी को देता हूँ जो जीवित है- पक्षियों, पालतू पशु, जंगली जानवरों सहित पृथ्वी पर रहने वाले प्रत्येक जीवित प्राणी जो तुम्हारे साथ जहाज से निकले हैं। BSB BSB: and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock, and every beast of the earth—every living thing that came out of the ark.
11 UDB मैं तुमको वचन दे रहा हूँ: मैं कभी भी बाढ़ से जीवित प्राणी को नष्ट नहीं करूँगा और न ही बाढ़ से पृथ्वी की किसी भी वस्तु को नष्ट करूँगा।" BSB BSB: And I establish My covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.”
12 UDB तब परमेश्वर ने उससे कहा, "मेरी प्रतिज्ञा यह आश्वासन देने के लिए है कि जो वचन मैंने तुझे और सभी जीवित प्राणियों को दिया है उसे मैं हमेशा याद रखूँगा: BSB BSB: And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between Me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come:
13 UDB समय-समय पर मैं आकाश में मेघधनुष दिखलाऊँगा। यह तुम्हारे और पृथ्वी पर सबके मध्य दिये गए मेरी प्रतिज्ञा का चिन्ह होगा। BSB BSB: I have set My rainbow in the clouds, and it will be a sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.
14 UDB जब मैं बादलों से वर्षा करवाऊँगा तब आकाश में एक मेघधनुष दिखाई पड़ेगा। BSB BSB: Whenever I form clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds,
15 UDB यह मुझे उस प्रतिज्ञा को याद दिलाएगा जो मैंने तुम्हारे और सभी जीवित प्राणियों के साथ किया है। मेरी प्रतिज्ञा है कि बाढ़ फिर कभी पृथ्वी के प्राणियों को नष्ट नहीं करेगी। BSB BSB: I will remember My covenant between Me and you and every living creature of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.
16 UDB जब भी आकाश में मेघधनुष निकलेगा और मैं उसे देखूँगा तब मैं उस प्रतिज्ञा को याद करूँगा जो मैंने पृथ्वी पर रहने वाले हर जीव के साथ की है और जिसे मैं सदा पूरा करता रहूँगा।" BSB BSB: And whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of every kind that is on the earth.”
17 UDB तब परमेश्वर ने नूह से कहा, "मेघधनुष उस प्रतिज्ञा का चिन्ह होगा जो मैंने पृथ्वी पर सभी जीवित प्राणियों के साथ की है।" BSB BSB: So God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant that I have established between Me and every creature on the earth.”
18 UDB नूह के पुत्र जो जहाज से निकले उनके नाम थे; शेम, हाम और येपेत। बाद में हाम कनान का पिता बना। BSB BSB: The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And Ham was the father of Canaan.
19 UDB संसार के सभी लोग नूह के इन तीनों बेटों के वंशज हैं। BSB BSB: These three were the sons of Noah, and from them the whole earth was populated.
21 UDB अंगूरों के फलने पर उसने अंगूरों से दाखरस बनाया। एक दिन उसने बहुत दाखरस पीलिया और मतवाला हो गया और वह अपने तम्बू में बिना कपड़े के लेट गया। BSB BSB: But when he drank some of its wine, he became drunk and uncovered himself inside his tent.
22 UDB कनान के पिता हाम ने अपने पिता को तम्बू में नंगा देखा। वह बाहर आया और हाम ने अपने बड़े भाइयों को जो देखा वह बताया। BSB BSB: And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father’s nakedness and told his two brothers outside.
23 UDB तब शेम और येपेत ने एक बड़ा कपड़ा लिया, उसे पीठ पर डाल कर पीछे की ओर तम्बू में ले गए। उन्होंने कपड़े से अपने पिता के नग्न शरीर को ढँक दिया और उन्होंने अपने पिता के शरीर से मुँह फेर रखा था इसलिए उन्होंने अपने पिता को नग्न नहीं देखा। BSB BSB: Then Shem and Japheth took a garment and placed it across their shoulders, and walking backward, they covered their father’s nakedness. Their faces were turned away so that they did not see their father’s nakedness.
24 UDB बाद में जब नूह सोकर उठा, वह शांत हो गया था। उसे ज्ञात हुआ कि उसके सबसे छोटे पुत्र हाम ने उसके साथ कितना बुरा व्यवहार किया था। BSB BSB: When Noah awoke from his drunkenness and learned what his youngest son had done to him,
25 UDB उसने कहा, "मैं हाम के पुत्र कनान और उसके वंशजों को शाप देता हूँँ कि वे अपने चाचाओं के दास होंगे। BSB BSB: he said, “Cursed be Canaan! A servant of servants shall he be to his brothers.”
26 UDB मैं उन यहोवा की स्तुति करता हूँँ जिनकी आराधना शेम करता है। कनान के वंशज शेम के वंशज के दास हों। BSB BSB: He also declared: “Blessed be the LORD, the God of Shem! May Canaan be the servant of Shem.
27 UDB लेकिन परमेश्वर येपेत को अधिक भूमि दें। परमेश्वर येपेत के वंशजों को शेम के वंशजों के साथ शांतिपूर्वक रखे। कनान के वंशज शेम के वंशज के दास हों।" BSB BSB: May God expand the territory of Japheth; may he dwell in the tents of Shem, and may Canaan be his servant.”
28 UDB जलप्रलय के बाद नूह 350 वर्ष जीवित रहा। BSB BSB: After the flood, Noah lived 350 years.
29 UDB 950 वर्ष की उम्र में नूह मर गया। BSB BSB: So Noah lived a total of 950 years, and then he died.
