1 UDB यहोयाकीम लगभग चार वर्षों तक यहूदा पर शासन कर चुका तब, यहोवा ने मुझे यहूदा के सब लोगों के लिए यह सन्देश दिया। यह वह वर्ष था जब राजा नबूकदनेस्सर ने बाबेल पर शासन करना आरम्भ किया था। BSB BSB: This is the word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, which was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.
2 UDB यिर्मयाह ने यरूशलेम और यहूदा के अन्य स्थानों के सब लोगों को यह सन्देश सुनाया: BSB BSB: So the prophet Jeremiah spoke to all the people of Judah and all the residents of Jerusalem as follows:
3 UDB “यहोवा मुझे तेईस वर्ष से सन्देश दे रहे हैं। उन्होंने मुझे सन्देश देना आरम्भ किया था जब आमोन के पुत्र योशिय्याह ने तेरह वर्ष तक यहूदा पर शासन किया था। और मैंने उन सन्देशों को विश्वासपूर्वक तुम्हें सुनाया है, परन्तु तुमने उन पर कोई ध्यान नहीं दिया। BSB BSB: “From the thirteenth year of Josiah son of Amon king of Judah until this very day—twenty-three years—the word of the LORD has come to me, and I have spoken to you again and again, but you have not listened.
4 UDB कई बार यहोवा ने उन भविष्यद्वक्ताओं को भेजा जिन्होंने उनकी सेवा की, परन्तु तुमने उनकी बात नहीं सुनी या उन्होंने जो कहा है, उस पर ध्यान नहीं दिया। BSB BSB: And the LORD has sent all His servants the prophets to you again and again, but you have not listened or inclined your ear to hear.

6 UDB अपने हाथों से बनाई गई मूर्तियों की सेवा और पूजा करके यहोवा के क्रोध का कारण न बनों। यदि तुम उन्हें क्रोधित नहीं करते हो, तो वह तुम्हें दण्ड नहीं देंगे।’ BSB BSB: Do not follow other gods to serve and worship them, and do not provoke Me to anger with the works of your hands. Then I will do you no harm.’
7 UDB और यहोवा कहते हैं, ‘परन्तु तुमने उन भविष्यद्वक्ताओं को दिए गए मेरे सन्देशों पर ध्यान नहीं दिया। तुमने मुझे पूजा की मूर्तियों से बहुत क्रोध दिलाया है जिन्हें तुमने अपने हाथों से बनाया है। इसके परिणामस्वरूप तुम्हें दण्ड देना मेरे लिए आवश्यक हो गया है। BSB BSB: ‘But to your own harm, you have not listened to Me,’ declares the LORD, ‘so you have provoked Me to anger with the works of your hands.’
8 UDB तो अब, मैं स्वर्गदूतों की सेना का प्रधान, यहोवा कहता हूँ कि मैंने जो कहा उस पर तुमने ध्यान नहीं दिया है, BSB BSB: Therefore this is what the LORD of Hosts says: ‘Because you have not obeyed My words,
9 UDB मैं उन सब जातियों की सेनाओं को एकत्र करूँगा जो पूर्वोत्तर से आएँगी। और उनकी अगुवाई करने के लिए बाबेल के राजा नबूकदनेस्सर को नियुक्त किया है। मैंने उसे नियुक्त किया है कि वह मेरे लिए कार्य करे। मैं उन सेनाओं को इस देश पर आक्रमण करने के लिए लाऊँगा, इसमें रहने वाले सब लोग और यहाँ तक कि आस-पास की जातियाँ भी। मैं उन्हें पूरी तरह से नष्ट कर दूँगा, और उन स्थानों को ऐसा कर दूँगा कि लोग उनसे भयभीत हो और लोग उपहास करेंगे, वह स्थान सदा के लिए नष्ट हो जाएँगे। BSB BSB: behold, I will summon all the families of the north, declares the LORD, and I will send for My servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, whom I will bring against this land, against its residents, and against all the surrounding nations. So I will devote them to destruction and make them an object of horror and contempt, an everlasting desolation.
10 UDB मैं तुम्हारे देश में आनन्द के गीत और हँसना समाप्त कर दूँगा। दूल्हे और दुल्हन के आनन्द को समाप्त कर दूँगा। लोगों द्वारा चक्की पर अनाज पीसने का शब्द भी नहीं होगा। तुम्हारे घरों में दीपक नहीं जलाए जाएँगे। BSB BSB: Moreover, I will banish from them the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of the bride and bridegroom, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp.
11 UDB यह सारी भूमि एक रेगिस्तान बन जाएगी जहाँ कोई भी जीवित नहीं रहेगा। और इस्राएल और आस-पास के देशों के लोग बाबेल में ले जाए जाएँगे और सत्तर वर्षों तक बाबेल के राजाओं के लिए कार्य करेंगे। BSB BSB: And this whole land will become a desolate wasteland, and these nations will serve the king of Babylon for seventy years.
12 UDB फिर, सत्तर वर्षों तक बाबेल में रहने के बाद, मैं बाबेल के राजा और उसके लोगों को उनके पापों के लिए दण्ड दूँगा। मैं बाबेल को सदा के लिए एक बंजर भूमि बना दूँगा। BSB BSB: But when seventy years are complete, I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, the land of the Chaldeans, for their guilt, declares the LORD, and I will make it an everlasting desolation.
13 UDB मैं उनके लिए उन सब भयानक बातों के अनुभव करने का कारण उत्पन्न करूँगा जिनके विषय में यिर्मयाह ने लिखा है—वे सब दण्ड जिनकी उसने भविष्यद्वाणी की है, उन सब राष्ट्रों के साथ होगी। BSB BSB: I will bring upon that land all the words I have pronounced against it, all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah has prophesied against all the nations.
14 UDB कई राष्ट्रों के अगुवे बाबेल के लोगों को अपने दास बनाएँगे, जैसे बाबेल के लोगों ने मेरे लोगों को दास बनाया है। मेरे लोगों को कष्ट देने के कारण मैं उन्हें उनके योग्य दण्ड दूँगा।’” BSB BSB: For many nations and great kings will enslave them, and I will repay them according to their deeds and according to the work of their hands.’”
15 UDB तब इस्राएल के परमेश्वर यहोवा ने मुझे एक दर्शन दिया। उस दर्शन में वह दाखमधु का कटोरा पकड़े हुए थे। उन्होंने कहा, “मेरे हाथ से दण्ड का प्रतीक यह दाखमधु का कटोरा ले। मैं उन जातियों के अगुवों को इस कटोरे में से थोड़ा-थोड़ा दाखमधु पिलाऊँगा, जहाँ-जहाँ मैं तुझे भेजूँगा। BSB BSB: This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, said to me: “Take from My hand this cup of the wine of wrath, and make all the nations to whom I send you drink from it.
16 UDB जब वे इस दाखमधु को पीएँगे तब वे लड़खड़ाएँगे और पागल लोगों के समान कार्य करेंगे।” BSB BSB: And they will drink and stagger and go out of their minds, because of the sword that I will send among them.”
17 UDB इसलिए, मैंने उस दर्शन में यहोवा के हाथ से वह दाखमधु से भरा कटोरा लिया, और मैं उन सब जातियों में गया जहाँ उन्होंने मुझे भेजा और उन जातियों के अगुओं को उस दाखमधु में से थोड़ा-थोड़ा पिला दिया। BSB BSB: So I took the cup from the LORD’s hand and made all the nations drink from it, each one to whom the LORD had sent me,
18 UDB मैं यरूशलेम और यहूदा के अन्य नगरों में गया, और राजा और अन्य अधिकारियों ने उस कटोरे से थोड़ा-थोड़ा दाखमधु पी लिया। और उस दिन से, उन सबको अधिकार प्राप्त करने से अंततः हटा दिए गए, और वे लोगों के लिए ठट्ठे, घृणा और श्राप के पात्र बन गए। BSB BSB: to make them a ruin, an object of horror and contempt and cursing, as they are to this day—Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, its kings and officials;

21 UDB तब उस दर्शन में एदोम, मोआब और अम्मोनियों के राजाओं। BSB BSB: Edom, Moab, and the Ammonites;
22 UDB तब भूमध्य सागर के पार सोर और सीदोन के नगरों के राजाओं को भी थोड़ा-थोड़ा दाखमधु पीना पड़ा। BSB BSB: all the kings of Tyre and Sidon; the kings of the coastlands across the sea;
23 UDB फिर दर्शन में ददान, तेमान और बूज के नगरों के धार्मिक अगुवों, जो अरब और अन्य दूर के स्थानों में थे, उन्हें थोड़ा-थोड़ा दाखमधु पीना पड़ा। BSB BSB: Dedan, Tema, Buz, and all who cut the corners of their hair;
24 UDB उस दर्शन में अरब के अन्य स्थान और रेगिस्तान में जनजातियों के राजाओं BSB BSB: all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mixed tribes who dwell in the desert;
25 UDB और जिम्री, एलाम और मादै के लोग, BSB BSB: all the kings of Zimri, Elam, and Media;

And after all of them, the king of Sheshach will drink it too.
27 UDB तब दर्शन में यहोवा ने मुझसे कहा, “उनको बता कि यहोवा इस्राएल के परमेश्वर, स्वर्गदूतों की सेना के प्रधान कहते हैं, ‘इस कटोरे से कुछ दाखमधु पीओ जो मेरे दण्ड का प्रतीक है जो मैं तुम्हें दूँगा। बहुत पी लो और नशे में हो जाओ और उल्टी करो। तुम गिर जाओगे और फिर उठ नहीं पाओगे, क्योंकि मैं तुम्हें युद्धों में मरवाऊँगा, जो मैं तुम पर भेजूँगा। BSB BSB: “Then you are to tell them that this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: ‘Drink, get drunk, and vomit. Fall down and never get up again, because of the sword I will send among you.’
28 UDB यदि वे तेरे द्वारा दी गई इस दाखमधु को पीने से मना कर देते हैं, तो उनसे कहना कि स्वर्गदूतों की सेना के प्रधान, यहोवा कहते हैं कि उन्हें इसे पीना होगा। BSB BSB: If they refuse to take the cup from your hand and drink it, you are to tell them that this is what the LORD of Hosts says: ‘You most certainly must drink it!
29 UDB मैं अपने लोगों पर विपत्तियाँ लाना आरम्भ कर रहा हूँ। उन्हें दण्ड से मुक्त नहीं किया जाएगा, क्योंकि मैं पृथ्वी पर सब राष्ट्रों के लिए युद्ध भेज रहा हूँ। यह निश्चय ही होगा क्योंकि मैं, स्वर्गदूतों की सेना का प्रधान, यहोवा ने यह कहा है।’ BSB BSB: For behold, I am beginning to bring disaster on the city that bears My Name, so how could you possibly go unpunished? You will not go unpunished, for I am calling down a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, declares the LORD of Hosts.’
30 UDB अब उन सब बातों को बता जो मैंने कहीं हैं, और यह भी उनसे कह: ‘यहोवा स्वर्ग में अपने निवासस्थान से उन पर चिल्लाएँगे और वह शेर की गर्जन के समान सुनाई देगा! वह अपने पवित्रस्थान से जहाँ वह रहते हैं ऐसे चिल्लाएँगे जैसे लोग दाखमधु बनाने के लिए अँगूरों को रौंदते समय चिल्लाते हैं! वह अपने पापों के कारण अपने लोगों के विरुद्ध सिंह के समान गरजेंगे! वह पृथ्वी पर के प्रत्येक जन के लिए चिल्लाएँगे की वह सुने! BSB BSB: So you are to prophesy all these words against them and say to them: ‘The LORD will roar from on high; He will raise His voice from His holy habitation. He will roar loudly over His pasture; like those who tread the grapes, He will call out with a shout against all the inhabitants of the earth.
31 UDB यहाँ तक कि पृथ्वी के चारों ओर बहुत दूर के स्थानों में भी लोग उन्हें चिल्लाते हुए सुनेंगे, क्योंकि वह कहेंगे कि वह सब जातियों का न्याय क्यों करेंगे और उन्हें दण्ड क्यों देंगे। वह दुष्ट लोगों को तलवार से मार देंगे। यह निश्चय ही होगा क्योंकि यहोवा ने यह कहा है।’ BSB BSB: The tumult will resound to the ends of the earth because the LORD brings a charge against the nations. He brings judgment on all mankind and puts the wicked to the sword,’” declares the LORD.
32 UDB तब उन्हें बता कि स्वर्गदूतों की सेनाओं का प्रधान, यहोवा यही कहते हैं: ‘इसे सुनो! एक के बाद एक जातियों पर विपत्तियाँ आएँगी। मेरा दण्ड एक बड़ी आँधी के समान उठेगा पृथ्वी पर सबसे दूर के स्थानों से आएगा। BSB BSB: This is what the LORD of Hosts says: “Behold! Disaster is spreading from nation to nation; a mighty storm is rising from the ends of the earth.”
33 UDB जब ऐसा होगा, उन लोगों के शव जिन्हें मैंने वध किया है, पृथ्वी को पूर्व से पश्चिम तक भर देंगे। और कोई भी उनके लिए शोक नहीं करेगा, और कोई भी उनके शवों को दफनाने के लिए एकत्र नहीं करेगा। वे खाद के समान भूमि पर बिखरे हुए होंगे। BSB BSB: Those slain by the LORD on that day will be spread from one end of the earth to the other. They will not be mourned, gathered, or buried. They will be like dung lying on the ground.

For the days of your slaughter have come; you will fall and be shattered like fine pottery.
35 UDB तुम्हें छिपने के लिए कोई स्थान नहीं मिलेगा, जहाँ तुम बच कर जा सको; BSB BSB: Flight will evade the shepherds, and escape will elude the leaders of the flock.
36 UDB तुम जो मेरे लोगों की देखभाल करते हो अब सहायता के लिए पुकार रहे हो और जो मेरे लोगों के अगुवे थे वे रोते और सहायता माँगते हैं। जब मैं, यहोवा, तुम्हारे देश को नष्ट कर रहा हूँ। BSB BSB: Hear the cry of the shepherds, the wailing of the leaders of the flock, for the LORD is destroying their pasture.
37 UDB तुम्हारे शान्तिपूर्ण चारागाह एक बंजर भूमि बन जाएँगे क्योंकि यहोवा इसे गम्भीर दण्ड देंगे। BSB BSB: The peaceful meadows have been silenced because of the LORD’s burning anger.
38 UDB यहोवा अपने घर को इस प्रकार छोड़ेंगे जिस प्रकार शेर पशुओं पर आक्रमण करने के लिए अपनी गुफा को छोड़ देता है, और वह तुम्हारे देश के उजड़ने का कारण बन जाएँगे। वह तुमसे बहुत क्रोधित हैं और वह तुम्हारे शत्रुओं को भी तुम पर क्रोधित करेंगे।’” BSB BSB: He has left His den like a lion, for their land has been made a desolation by the sword of the oppressor, and because of the fierce anger of the LORD.
