They provoked Me to anger by continuing to burn incense and to serve other gods that neither they nor you nor your fathers ever knew.

As a result, you will be cut off and will become an object of cursing and reproach among all the nations of the earth.

BSB BSB: Have you forgotten the wickedness of your fathers and of the kings of Judah and their wives, as well as the wickedness that you and your wives committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

They will all fall by the sword or be consumed by famine. From the least to the greatest, they will die by sword or famine; and they will become an object of cursing and horror, of vilification and reproach.
13 UDB मैं तुम्हें यहाँ मिस्र में भी दण्ड दूँगा जैसे मैंने यरूशलेम में दूसरों को दण्ड दिया था, जिनमें से कुछ अपने शत्रुओं की तलवारों से मारे गए थे और कुछ अकाल या बीमारियों से मर गए थे। BSB BSB: I will punish those who live in the land of Egypt, just as I punished Jerusalem, by sword and famine and plague,

16 UDB “तू कह रहा है कि यहोवा ने तुझे सन्देश दिए हैं, परन्तु हम तेरे सन्देशों पर ध्यान नहीं देंगे! BSB BSB: “As for the word you have spoken to us in the name of the LORD, we will not listen to you!
17 UDB हम निश्चय ही वह सब कुछ करेंगे जो हमने कहा था कि हम करेंगे। हम स्वर्ग की रानी, हमारी देवी अशेरा की उपासना करने के लिए धूप जलाएँगे और हम उसके लिए दाखमधु चढ़ाएँगे, जैसे हम और हमारे पूर्वजों और हमारे राजाओं और उनके अधिकारियों ने सदा यरूशलेम और अन्य नगरों की सड़कों पर किया है यहूदा के नगरों में उस समय, हमारे पास बहुत सारा भोजन था और हम समृद्ध थे और हमें कोई चिन्ता नहीं थी। BSB BSB: Instead, we will do everything we vowed to do: We will burn incense to the Queen of Heaven and offer drink offerings to her, just as we, our fathers, our kings, and our officials did in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. At that time we had plenty of food and good things, and we saw no disaster.
18 UDB परन्तु जब से हमने स्वर्ग की रानी को धूप जलाने और दाखमधु की भेंट चढ़ाना बन्द किया, तब से हम पर कई संकट आए और हमारे कुछ लोग हमारे शत्रुओं द्वारा मारे गए या भूख से मर गए।” BSB BSB: But from the time we stopped burning incense to the Queen of Heaven and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have lacked everything and have been perishing by sword and famine.”

BSB BSB: “As for the incense you burned in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem—you, your fathers, your kings, your officials, and the people of the land—did the LORD not remember and bring this to mind?
22 UDB ऐसा इसलिए था क्योंकि यहोवा अब तुम्हारे बुरे कर्मों और घृणित कार्यों को सहन नहीं कर सकते थे, उन्होंने तुम्हारे देश को ऐसा स्थान बना दिया जिसका नाम ले कर लोग किसी को श्राप देते हैं, एक देश जो नष्ट हो गया है और जिसमें कोई नहीं रहता है और तुम्हारा देश अभी भी ऐसा ही है। BSB BSB: So the LORD could no longer endure the evil deeds and detestable acts you committed, and your land became a desolation, a horror, and an object of cursing, without inhabitant, as it is this day.
23 UDB ऐसा इसलिए है क्योंकि तुमने मूर्तियों की उपासना करने के लिए धूप जलाई और यहोवा के विरुद्ध अन्य पाप किए जिसके कारण तुम पर वे सब विपत्तियाँ आ पड़ी थीं। ऐसा इसलिए है क्योंकि तुमने उनका आज्ञापालन नहीं किया है या उनके नियमों और आदेशों और आज्ञाओं का पालन नहीं किया है।” BSB BSB: Because you burned incense and sinned against the LORD and did not obey the voice of the LORD or walk in His instruction, His statutes, and His testimonies, this disaster has befallen you, as you see today.”

25 UDB स्वर्गदूतों की सेनाओं के प्रधान, यहोवा, जिन परमेश्वर की इस्राएल आराधना करता है, वह पुरुषों से कहते हैं: ‘तुम और तुम्हारी पत्नियों ने कहा है कि तुमने जो प्रतिज्ञा है वही करते रहोगे, कि जिसे तुम स्वर्ग की रानी कहते हो, उस देवी को धूप जलाओगे और दाखमधु डालोगे और तुमने अपने कार्यों से सिद्ध कर दिया है कि तुम्हारे मन में ऐसा करते रहने की इच्छा है। अतः चलो, ऐसा करते रहो, जैसी तुमने प्रतिज्ञा की है।’ BSB BSB: This is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: As for you and your wives, you have spoken with your mouths and fulfilled with your hands your words: ‘We will surely perform our vows that we have made to burn incense to the Queen of Heaven and to pour out drink offerings to her.’ Go ahead, then, do what you have promised! Keep your vows!
26 UDB परन्तु अब, यहूदा के सब लोग जो अब मिस्र में रह रहे हैं, इस सन्देश को यहोवा से सुनें। वह कहते हैं, ‘मैंने अपने महान नाम को ले कर गम्भीर घोषणा की है, कि शीघ्र ही मिस्र में रहने वाले यहूदा के तुम लोगों में से कोई भी मेरा नाम नहीं लेगा। तुम में से कोई भी नहीं होगा, जब तुम गम्भीरता से कुछ करने का प्रतिज्ञा करते हो, तो कभी भी यह कहें कि, “मैं निश्चय ही ऐसा करूँगा जैसे यहोवा जीवित हैं।” BSB BSB: Nevertheless, hear the word of the LORD, all you people of Judah living in Egypt: Behold, I have sworn by My great name, says the LORD, that never again will any man of Judah living in the land of Egypt invoke My name or say, ‘As surely as the Lord GOD lives.’
27 UDB क्योंकि मैं देखता रहूँगा कि तुम्हारे साथ कभी अच्छा न हो वरन् तुम्हारा बुरा ही हो, तुम्हारी हानि ही हो। इस समय यहूदा के लोग जो यहाँ मिस्र में है, उनमें से हर एक जन शत्रुओं की तलवारों से या अकाल से मरेगा जब तक कि तुम सब समाप्त नहीं हो जाते हो। BSB BSB: I am watching over them for harm and not for good, and every man of Judah who is in the land of Egypt will meet his end by sword or famine, until they are finished off.
28 UDB तुम में से केवल कुछ तलवार से नहीं मारे जाएँगे और यहूदा लौट पाएँगे। जब ऐसा होगा, तब जो लोग मिस्र आए थे वे जानेंगे कि किसके शब्द सच थे, उनके या मेरे।’ BSB BSB: Those who escape the sword will return from Egypt to Judah, few in number, and the whole remnant of Judah who went to dwell in the land of Egypt will know whose word will stand, Mine or theirs!

30 UDB मैं मिस्र के राजा होफरा को उसके शत्रुओं के हाथों पकड़वा दूँगा, जो उसे मारना चाहते हैं, जैसे मैंने यहूदा के राजा सिदकिय्याह को बाबेल के राजा नबूकदनेस्सर के सैनिकों द्वारा पकड़ा था।” BSB BSB: This is what the LORD says: Behold, I will deliver Pharaoh Hophra king of Egypt into the hands of his enemies who seek his life, just as I delivered Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, the enemy who was seeking his life.”
