They served the Baals, the Ashtoreths, the gods of Aram, Sidon, and Moab, and the gods of the Ammonites and Philistines. Thus they forsook the LORD and did not serve Him.

13 UDB परन्तु अब तुमने मुझे छोड़ दिया है, और स्वयं अन्य देवताओं की पूजा कर रहे हो। इसलिए, मैं तुमको बार-बार नहीं बचाऊँगा। BSB BSB: But you have forsaken Me and served other gods, so I will no longer save you.
14 UDB तुमने उन देवताओं को चुन लिया है कि उनकी पूजा करते हो। तो उनसे ही सहायता माँगों वे ही तुम्हे परेशानियों से निकालें।" BSB BSB: Go and cry out to the gods you have chosen. Let them save you in your time of trouble.”
15 UDB परन्तु इस्राएलियों ने यहोवा से कहा, "हमने पाप किया है। आप जैसा चाहें हमें दण्ड दें। परन्तु कृपया आज हमें बचा लें।" BSB BSB: “We have sinned,” the Israelites said to the LORD. “Deal with us as You see fit; but please deliver us today!”
16 UDB तब इस्राएलियों ने उन विदेशी देवताओं की मूर्तियों को फेंक दिया जिनसे वे स्नेह करते थे, और उन्होंने यहोवा की आराधना की। उसने देखा कि वे बहुत पीड़ित थे, और वह इस्राएल के दुःखों पर वह अपने धीरज की सीमा तक पहुँच गया। BSB BSB: So they put away the foreign gods from among them and served the LORD, and He could no longer bear the misery of Israel.
