51इस्राएली पुरुष जिन्हें प्रधानों ने गिना वे कुल 6,01,730 थे।These men of Israel numbered 601,730 in all.

52तब यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा,Then the LORD said to Moses,

53“गोत्रों के बीच में कनान देश को बाँट दे। अपनी सूची लिखे गए प्रत्येक गोत्र में लोगों की संख्या के अनुसार भूमि बाँट दे।“The land is to be divided among the tribes as an inheritance, according to the number of names.

54चिट्ठी डालकर यह निर्धारित कर कि कौन से समूह को कौन सा क्षेत्र प्राप्त होगा, परन्तु जिनकी संख्या अधिक है उनको सबसे बड़ा क्षेत्र प्रदान करना।“Increase the inheritance for a large tribe and decrease it for a small one; each tribe is to receive its inheritance according to the number of those registered.

57प्रधानों ने लेवी के वंशजों के पुरुषों को भी गिना। वे गेर्शोन, कहात और मरारी से निकले कुलों में थे।Now these were the Levites numbered by their clans: The Gershonite clan from Gershon, the Kohathite clan from Kohath, and the Merarite clan from Merari.

58इन लोगों में लिब्नी, हेब्रोनी, महली, मूशी और कोरह के कुल भी थे। वे सभी लेवी के वंशज थे। कहात अम्राम का पूर्वज था,These were the families of the Levites: The Libnite clan, the Hebronite clan, the Mahlite clan, the Mushite clan, and the Korahite clan. Now Kohath was the father of Amram,

She was also a daughter of Levi, born to Levi in Egypt. To Amram she bore Aaron, Moses, and their sister Miriam.
