1यीसू ह पबितर आतमा ले भरे, यरदन नदी ले लहुंटिस अऊ पबितर आतमा के अगुवई म ओह निरजन जगह म गीस,Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

2जिहां सैतान ह चालीस दिन तक ओकर परिछा करिस। यीसू ह ओ चालीस दिन तक कुछू नइं खाईस, अऊ तब ओला भूख लगिस।where for forty days He was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and when they had ended, He was hungry.

3तब सैतान ह यीसू ला कहिस, “यदि तेंह परमेसर के बेटा अस, त ये पथरा ले कह कि येह रोटी बन जावय।”The devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.”

4यीसू ह जबाब दीस, “परमेसर के बचन म लिखे हवय: ‘मनखे ह सिरिप रोटी ले ही जीयत नइं रहय।’ ”But Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’”

5सैतान ह यीसू ला एक ठन ऊंचहा ठऊर म ले गीस अऊ पल भर म ओला संसार के जम्मो राजपाट ला देखाईस।Then the devil led Him up to a high place and showed Him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world.

6अऊ ओह यीसू ला कहिस, “मेंह ये जम्मो के अधिकार अऊ सान-सौकत तोला दे दूहूं, काबरकि येह मोला दिये गे हवय, अऊ मेंह जऊन ला चाहंव ओला ये जम्मो दे सकत हंव।“I will give You authority over all these kingdoms and all their glory,” he said. “For it has been relinquished to me, and I can give it to anyone I wish.

7यदि तेंह मोर अराधना करबे, त ये जम्मो ह तोर हो जाही।”So if You worship me, it will all be Yours.”

8यीसू ह ओला ये जबाब दीस, “परमेसर के बचन म ये लिखे हवय: ‘तेंह परभू अपन परमेसर के अराधना कर अऊ सिरिप ओकरेच सेवा कर।’ ”But Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve Him only.’”

9तब सैतान ह यीसू ला यरूसलेम म ले गीस अऊ ओला मंदिर के टीप म ठाढ़ करके कहिस, “कहूं तेंह परमेसर के बेटा अस, त उहां ले खाल्हे कूद जा।Then the devil led Him to Jerusalem and set Him on the pinnacle of the temple. “If You are the Son of God,” he said, “throw Yourself down from here.

10काबरकि परमेसर के बचन म ये लिखे हवय: “ ‘परमेसर ह तोर बारे म अपन स्वरगदूतमन ला हुकूम दीही कि ओमन तोर रकछा करंय;For it is written: ‘He will command His angels concerning You to guard You carefully,

11ओमन तोला अपन हांथ म उठा लीहीं, ताकि तोर गोड़ म पथरा ले चोट झन लगय।’”and they will lift You up in their hands, so that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’”

12यीसू ह ओला ये जबाब दीस, “परमेसर के बचन म ये घलो कहे गे हवय: ‘तें परभू अपन परमेसर के परिछा झन कर।’”But Jesus answered, “It also says, ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”

13जब सैतान ह ये जम्मो परिछा कर चुकिस, त ओह आने मऊका के मिलत तक यीसू ला छोंड़के चल दीस।When the devil had finished every temptation, he left Him until an opportune time.

14यीसू ह पबितर आतमा के सक्ति ले भरे गलील प्रदेस लहुंटिस, अऊ आसपास के जम्मो इलाका म ओकर बारे म खबर फईल गीस।Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit, and the news about Him spread throughout the surrounding region.

15ओह यहूदीमन के सभा-घरमन म उपदेस दीस, अऊ जम्मो झन ओकर बड़ई करिन।He taught in their synagogues and was glorified by everyone.

16यीसू ह नासरत गांव म गीस, जिहां ओह पले-बढ़े रिहिस, अऊ अपन रीति के मुताबिक, ओह बिसराम के दिन यहूदीमन के सभा-घर म गीस, अऊ ओह परमेसर के बचन ले पढ़े बर ठाढ़ होईस।Then Jesus came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. As was His custom, He entered the synagogue on the Sabbath. And when He stood up to read,

17ओला यसायाह अगमजानी के किताब देय गीस। ओह किताब ला खोलिस अऊ ओ भाग ला निकालिस, जिहां ये लिखे रहय:the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. Unrolling it, He found the place where it was written:

18“परभू के आतमा मोर ऊपर हवय, काबरकि ओह गरीबमन ला सुघर संदेस के परचार करे बर मोर अभिसेक करे हवय। ओह मोला पठोय हवय, ताकि मेंह कैदीमन ला छुटकारा के, अऊ अंधरामन ला आंखी पाय के घोसना करंव, अऊ दुखित-पीड़ितमन ला छोंड़ावंव,“The Spirit of the Lord is on Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to release the oppressed,

19अऊ परभू के किरपा-दिरिस्टी के बछर के घोसना करंव।”to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

20तब यीसू ह किताब ला बंद करके वापिस सेवक ला दे दीस अऊ बईठ गीस। सभा-घर म जम्मो झन ओला एकटक देखत रिहिन।Then He rolled up the scroll, returned it to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fixed on Him,

21तब यीसू ह ओमन ला कहिस, “आज परमेसर के ये बचन ह तुम्हर सुनत म पूरा होईस।”and He began by saying, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

22जम्मो झन ओकर बड़ई करिन अऊ ओकर मुहूं ले निकले अनुग्रह के बात ला सुनके ओमन अचम्भो करिन अऊ कहिन, “का येह यूसुफ के बेटा नो हय?”All spoke well of Him and marveled at the gracious words that came from His lips. “Isn’t this the son of Joseph?” they asked.

23यीसू ह ओमन ला कहिस, “तुमन मोर बर ये कहावत जरूर कहिहू, ‘ए डाक्टर, पहिली अपनआप ला चंगा कर!’ अऊ तुमन ये कहिहू, ‘जऊन कुछू तेंह कफरनहूम म करे हवस, ओकर बारे म हमन सुने हवन, अब वइसनेच तेंह इहां अपन नगर म घलो कर।’ ”Jesus said to them, “Surely you will quote this proverb to Me: ‘Physician, heal yourself! Do here in Your hometown what we have heard that You did in Capernaum.’”

24यीसू ह फेर कहिस, “मेंह तुमन ला सच कहत हंव, कोनो अगमजानी अपन खुद के नगर म आदरमान नइं पावय।Then He added, “Truly I tell you, no prophet is accepted in his hometown.

25मेंह तुमन ला सच कहत हंव कि एलियाह के समय म जब साढ़े तीन साल तक अकास ले पानी नइं बरसिस अऊ जम्मो इलाका म भयंकर अकाल पड़े रिहिस, तब इसरायल देस म बहुंत बिधवामन रिहिन।But I tell you truthfully that there were many widows in Israel in the time of Elijah, when the sky was shut for three and a half years and great famine swept over all the land.

26पर एलियाह ला ओमन ले काकरो करा नइं पठोय गीस, पर सीदोन प्रदेस के सारपत सहर म एक बिधवा करा ओला पठोय गीस।Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them, but to the widow of Zarephath in Sidon.

27अऊ एलीसा अगमजानी के समय म इसरायल देस म बहुंत कोढ़ीमन रिहिन, पर सीरिया देस के नामान ला छोंड़के ओमन ले कोनो सुध नइं करे गीस।”And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet. Yet not one of them was cleansed—only Naaman the Syrian.”

28ये बात ला सुनके सभा-घर के जम्मो मनखेमन कोरोध ले भर गीन।On hearing this, all the people in the synagogue were enraged.

29ओमन उठिन अऊ यीसू ला सहर के बाहिर निकालिन। ओमन के सहर ह पहाड़ी ऊपर बसे रहय। ओमन यीसू ला पहाड़ी के छोर म ले गीन ताकि ओला चट्टान म ले ढकेल देवंय।They got up, drove Him out of the town, and led Him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw Him over the cliff.

30पर ओह भीड़ के बीच म ले निकलके अपन रसता म चल दीस।But Jesus passed through the crowd and went on His way.

31तब यीसू ह गलील प्रदेस के कफरनहूम सहर म जाके, बिसराम के दिन मनखेमन ला उपदेस देवन लगिस।Then He went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath He began to teach the people.

32मनखेमन यीसू के उपदेस ला सुनके चकित होवत रहंय, काबरकि ओह अधिकार के संग गोठियावत रहय।They were astonished at His teaching, because His message had authority.

33सभा-घर म एक मनखे रिहिस जऊन म एक परेत आतमा रहय। ओह जोर से चिचियाके कहिस,In the synagogue there was a man possessed by the spirit of an unclean demon. He cried out in a loud voice,

34“हे नासरत के यीसू! हमर ले तोर का काम? का तेंह हमन ला नास करे बर आय हवस? मेंह जानत हंव, तेंह कोन अस—तेंह परमेसर के पबितर जन अस!”“Ha! What do You want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!”

35यीसू ह ओला दबकारके कहिस, “चुपे रह। अऊ ओमा ले निकल आ।” तब परेत आतमा ह ओ मनखे ला ओ जम्मो झन के आघू म पटकिस अऊ ओला बिगर चोट पहुंचाय निकल गीस।But Jesus rebuked the demon. “Be silent!” He said. “Come out of him!” At this, the demon threw the man down before them all and came out without harming him.

36जम्मो मनखेमन अचम्भो करिन अऊ एक-दूसर ला कहिन, “येह का सिकछा अय? अधिकार अऊ सक्ति के संग ओह असुध आतमामन ला हुकूम देथे अऊ ओमन निकल जाथें।”All the people were overcome with amazement and asked one another, “What is this message? With authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!”

37अऊ आसपास के जम्मो इलाका म ओकर खबर फईल गीस।And the news about Jesus spread throughout the surrounding region.

38यीसू ह सभा-घर ले निकलके सिमोन के घर म गीस। ओ समय सिमोन के सास ला बहुंत जर आवत रहय, अऊ ओमन यीसू ले ओला बने करे बर बिनती करिन।After Jesus had left the synagogue, He went to the home of Simon, whose mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever. So they appealed to Jesus on her behalf,

39त यीसू ह ओकर बाजू म ठाढ़ होईस अऊ जर ला दबकारिस, अऊ ओकर जर ह उतर गीस। ओह तुरते उठिस अऊ ओमन के सेवा-टहल करे लगिस।and He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And she got up at once and began to serve them.

40जब बेर ह बुड़त रहय, त मनखेमन ओ जम्मो झन, जऊन मन ला कतको किसम के बेमारी रहय, यीसू करा लानिन, अऊ ओह हर एक के ऊपर हांथ रखके ओमन ला बने करिस।At sunset, all who were ill with various diseases were brought to Jesus, and laying His hands on each one, He healed them.

41परेत आतमामन घलो बहुंत मनखेमन ले चिचियावत अऊ ये कहत निकल गीन कि तेंह परमेसर के बेटा अस। पर यीसू ह ओमन ला दबकारिस अऊ ओमन ला गोठियावन नइं दीस, काबरकि ओमन जानत रिहिन कि ओह मसीह अय।Demons also came out of many people, shouting, “You are the Son of God!” But He rebuked the demons and would not allow them to speak, because they knew He was the Christ.

42जब बिहान होईस, त यीसू ह एक ठन सुनसान ठऊर म चले गीस। मनखेमन ओला खोजे लगिन, अऊ जब ओमन ओला भेंटिन, त ओला रोके के कोसिस करिन अऊ कहिन कि हमर करा ले झन जा।At daybreak, Jesus went out to a solitary place, and the crowds were looking for Him. They came to Him and tried to keep Him from leaving.

43पर ओह कहिस, “मोला आने सहरमन म घलो परमेसर के राज के सुघर संदेस के परचार करना जरूरी ए, काबरकि एकर खातिर मोला पठोय गे हवय।”But Jesus told them, “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns as well, because that is why I was sent.”

44अऊ ओह यहूदिया प्रदेस के यहूदीमन के सभा-घरमन म परचार करन लगिस।And He continued to preach in the synagogues of Judea.
