Ndǝghǝn ɗa ni nan a pǝr laɓara atenggǝn yi wal yibrha.BSBBSB: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our own eyes, which we have gazed upon and touched with our own hands—this is the Word of life.
2. 2HWOYanɗi na fǝr yibrha kyaɗa ɓa, na ɗǝm ndǝn kan ni shedawa ǝnɗi nanan. Nanǝnya nan pǝrang laɓar yibrha kun mbuwa ngwalaarha, nǝghǝn tǝ Chinɗi ka ƙǝtǝm tǝ ƙǝm ɓaɗǝ thlǝmad nǝm ɓa.BSBBSB: And this is the life that was revealed; we have seen it and testified to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us.
3. 3HWONan a pǝrang ˈya kun nanan tǝ sǝk nan, tǝnǝm tsau ɗǝɗemnggirha tǝ kan. Ɗǝɗemnggid nǝm nǝghǝn tǝ Faara na Chinɗi tǝ wanggǝn, Yeeso Ƙǝrǝsti.BSBBSB: We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And this fellowship of ours is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.
4. 4HWOChireethleng nan kun ɗǝ ka a lǝghǝdgha wutsǝfayid nan.BSBBSB: We write these things so that our joy may be complete.
5. 5HWOLaɓar ɗa ni sǝk nan ya a mii Wanggǝn ndǝghǝn ni nan a pǝranggǝn kun. Faara kukwaryirha ni, mbǝ wula sǝ a fadghǝn wa ko ngguchit.BSBBSB: And this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you: God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.
6. 6HWOA nda ɗǝm nǝghǝm a tsau ɗǝɗemnggirha tǝ Faara amma nam naarha wiirha hai hu wula, nggaɓa nǝm hai mbǝghǝm a wiirha hu ƙǝkafek wa.BSBBSB: If we say we have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
7. 7HWOAmma a naɗan a wiirha hai hu kukwaryirha, ƙǝla nana Faara hu kukwaryirha, nǝghǝm a tsau ɗǝɗemnggirha tǝ ndan. Tǝrgha na far Yeeso, wanggǝn, tsaɓang ƙǝm ɗǝ heu hu ɗimiyid nǝm.BSBBSB: But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
8. 8HWOA ndaɗǝm mbǝ ɗimiyirha sǝ a fad nǝm wa, nǝm a nggaɓang fad nǝm fa, mbǝ ƙǝkafek sǝ a fad nǝm wa.BSBBSB: If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9. 9HWOAmma a pǝrang ɗǝm ɗimiyid nǝm Faara, nǝghǝn tǝ ƙǝkafek fa nǝn a chahang ɗimiyid nǝm ƙǝm ɗǝ tsaɓanggǝn ƙǝm ɗǝ hu tar mbǝlfed nǝm.BSBBSB: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10. 10HWOA nda ɗǝm ǝna wum ɗimiyirha wa, tsawang ɗǝm Faara tǝ nggaɓaarha ni mbǝ laɓarghǝn sǝ ahur nǝm wa.BSBBSB: If we say we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar, and His word is not in us.
