2 ULB Seperti yang tertulis dalam kitab nabi Yesaya, "Lihat, aku mengirim utusanKu kepadamu. Ia yang akan mempersiapkan jalan bagiMu. BSB BSB: As it is written in Isaiah the prophet: “Behold, I will send My messenger ahead of You, who will prepare Your way.”
3 ULB Ada suara seorang yang berseru-seru di padang gurun. 'Persiapkanlah jalan Tuhan; luruskanlah jalan bagiNya.'" BSB BSB: “A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for Him.’”
4 ULB Yohanes datang dan ia membaptis di padang gurun dan memberitakan baptisan pertobatan bagi pengampunan dosa. BSB BSB: John the Baptist appeared in the wilderness, preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.
5 ULB Lalu datanglah orang-orang dari daerah Yudea dan orang-orang di Yerusalem kepadanya. Lalu mereka dibaptiskannya di sungai Yordan, ketika mereka mengaku dosanya. BSB BSB: People went out to him from all of Jerusalem and the countryside of Judea. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the Jordan River.
6 ULB Yohanes mengenakan jubah dari bulu unta dan ikat pinggang kulit, dan makanannya adalah belalang dan madu hutan. BSB BSB: John was clothed in camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey.
7 ULB Dalam khotbahnya ia mengatakan, "Seorang akan datang sesudah aku, dan Ia lebih berkuasa dari padaku dan aku bahkan tak layak untuk membuka tali kasutNya. BSB BSB: And he proclaimed: “After me will come One more powerful than I, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie.
8 ULB Aku membaptis kamu dengan air, tetapi Ia akan membaptis kamu dengan Roh Kudus." BSB BSB: I baptize you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
9 ULB Hal ini terjadi ketika Yesus datang dari Nazaret, di wilayah Galilea lalu Ia dibaptis oleh Yohanes di sungai Yordan. BSB BSB: In those days Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan.
10 ULB Ketika Yesus keluar dari air, Ia melihat langit terbuka dan Roh seperti seekor burung merpati turun ke atasNyai. BSB BSB: As soon as Jesus came up out of the water, He saw the heavens breaking open and the Spirit descending on Him like a dove.
11 ULB Lalu terdengarlah suara yang berseru dari surga, kataNya, "Engkaulah PutraKu yang Kukasihi, KepadaMulah Aku berkenan." BSB BSB: And a voice came from heaven: “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.”
12 ULB Kemudian Roh itu membawaNya ke padang gurun. BSB BSB: At once the Spirit drove Jesus into the wilderness,
13 ULB Ia tinggal di padang gurun selama empat puluh hari dan di situlah Ia dicobai oleh Setan. Ia berada di situ di antara binatang-binatang liar dan malaikat-malaikat melayani Dia. BSB BSB: and He was there for forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and the angels ministered to Him.
15 ULB kata-Nya, "Waktunya telah genap; Kerajaan Allah sudah dekat. Bertobatlah dan percayalah kepada Injil." BSB BSB: “The time is fulfilled,” He said, “and the kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe in the gospel!”
16 ULB Ketika melewati danau Galilea, Ia melihat Simon dan Andreas, saudara Simon. Mereka sedang menebarkan jala di pinggir laut sebab mereka adalah nelayan. BSB BSB: As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen.
17 ULB Lalu Yesus berkata kepada mereka, "Mari, ikutlah Aku dan Aku akan menjadikan kamu penjala manusia. BSB BSB: “Come, follow Me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.”
18 ULB Lalu mereka pun langsung meninggalkan jala mereka dan mengikut Dia. BSB BSB: And at once they left their nets and followed Him.
20 ULB Yesus segera memanggil mereka dan mereka meninggalkan ayahnya, Zebedeus, di dalam perahu bersama para hamba upahannya, lalu mereka mengikuti Dia. BSB BSB: Immediately Jesus called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed Him.
22 ULB Mereka sangat kagum dengan pengajaranNya karena Ia mengajar dengan dengan penuh kuasa, tidak seperti ahli-ahli Taurat. BSB BSB: The people were astonished at His teaching, because He taught as one who had authority, and not as the scribes.
23 ULB Ketika mereka berada di dalam sinagoge, ada seorang yang dirasuk roh yang jahat BSB BSB: Suddenly a man with an unclean spirit cried out in the synagogue:
24 ULB sambil berteriak, "Apa urusan kami denganMu, hai Yesus orang Nazaret? Engkau datang untuk membinasakan kami? Aku tahu siapa Engkau. Engkau adalah Yang Kudus dari Allah." BSB BSB: “What do You want with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!”
25 ULB Lalu Yesus menghardik roh jahat itu dan berkata, "Diam dan keluarlah kau padanya!" BSB BSB: But Jesus rebuked the spirit. “Be silent!” He said. “Come out of him!”
26 ULB Kemudian roh jahat itu membantingnya dan keluar dari padanya sambil menjerit-jerit. BSB BSB: At this, the unclean spirit threw the man into convulsions and came out with a loud shriek.
27 ULB Semua orang yang ada di situ sangat kagum dan kemudian saling bertanya, "Apa ini?" "Pengajaran baru yang penuh kuasa? Ia memerintahkan roh-roh jahat dan mereka patuh kepadaNya. BSB BSB: All the people were amazed and began to ask one another, “What is this? A new teaching with authority! He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him!”
28 ULB Lalu tersebarlah berita tentang Dia ke seluruh wilayah Galilea. BSB BSB: And the news about Jesus spread quickly through the whole region of Galilee.
30 ULB Saat itu mertua Simon sedang terbaring sakit karena demam. Mereka pun segera memberitahukan keadaannya kepada Yesus. BSB BSB: Simon’s mother-in-law was sick in bed with a fever, and they promptly told Jesus about her.
31 ULB Lalu Ia datang, memegang tangannya dan membangunkannya, lalu ia sembuh dari demamnya dan perempuan itu mulai melayani mereka. BSB BSB: So He went to her, took her by the hand, and helped her up. The fever left her, and she began to serve them.
33 ULB Seluruh penduduk kota berkumpul di depan pintu. BSB BSB: and the whole town gathered at the door.
34 ULB Ia menyembuhkan banyak orang sakit karena berbagai-bagai macam penyakit dan mengusir roh-roh jahat, namun Ia tidak membolehkan roh-roh jahat itu berbicara sebab mereka mengetahui siapa Dia. BSB BSB: And He healed many who were ill with various diseases and drove out many demons. But He would not allow the demons to speak, because they knew who He was.
35 ULB Selagi hari masih subuh, ketika masih gelap, Ia pergi ke tempat yang sunyi dan berdoa di sana. BSB BSB: Early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up and went out to a solitary place to pray.
36 ULB Simon dan beberapa orang bersama dengannya pergi mencari Dia. BSB BSB: Simon and his companions went to look for Him,
37 ULB Mereka menemukan Dia lalu berkata kepadaNya, "Semua orang mencari Engkau." BSB BSB: and when they found Him, they said, “Everyone is looking for You!”
38 ULB Yesus berkata, "Marilah kita pergi ke tempat lain, pergi ke kota-kota yang berdekatan, agar Aku juga dapat mengajar di sana. Karena itulah tujuan Aku datang." BSB BSB: But Jesus answered, “Let us go on to the neighboring towns so I can preach there as well, for that is why I have come.”
39 ULB Lalu pergilah Ia ke seluruh Galilea dan mengajar di sinagoge-sinagoge sambil mengusir roh-roh jahat. BSB BSB: So He went throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.
41 ULB Tergerak oleh belas kasihan, Yesus mengulurkan tanganNya dan menjamah dia, kataNya," Aku mau, jadilah engaku tahir." BSB BSB: Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out His hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” He said. “Be clean!”
42 ULB Segera itu juga, lenyaplah kustanya lalu ia menjadi tahir. BSB BSB: And immediately the leprosy left him, and the man was cleansed.
43 ULB Kemudian Yesus dengan keras memperingatkannya dan menyuruhnya segera pergi. BSB BSB: Jesus promptly sent him away with a stern warning:
44 ULB Ia berkata kepadanya, "Jangan memberitahukan apa-apa tentang hal ini kepada siapapun, tetapi pergilah dan tunjukkanlah kepada imam, berilah persembahan untuk kesembuhanmu seperti yang diperintahkan Musa, sebagai suatu kesaksian kepada mereka." BSB BSB: “See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and present the offering Moses prescribed for your cleansing, as a testimony to them.”
45 ULB Tetapi orang itu pergi dan mulai memberitahukan kepada setiap orang serta menyebarkannya kemana-mana sehingga Yesus tidak dapat masuk secara bebas ke dalam setiap kota. Ia harus tinggal di tempat-tempat yang sepi, dan orang-orang harus datang kepadanya dari berbagai penjuru. BSB BSB: But the man went out and openly began to proclaim and spread the news. Consequently, Jesus could no longer enter a town in plain view, but He stayed out in solitary places. Yet people came to Him from every quarter.
