BSB BSB: Then the fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from heaven to earth, and it was given the key to the pit of the Abyss.
2 ULB Lalu ia membuka lorong yang menuju ke jurang yang dalamnya tak terduga itu dan keluarlah asap dari lubang itu bagaikan asap dari sebuah perapian yang besar. BSB BSB: The star opened the pit of the Abyss, and smoke rose out of it like the smoke of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke from the pit.
3 ULB Dari asap itu keluarlah belalang-belalang ke atas bumi, dan kepada mereka diberikan kuasa sama seperti kuasa kalajengking-kalajengking di bumi. BSB BSB: And out of the smoke, locusts descended on the earth, and they were given power like that of the scorpions of the earth.
4 ULB Tetapi kepada mereka diperintahkan untuk tidak merusak rerumputan di bumi atau tumbuh-tumbuhan hijau atau pepohonan, melainkan hanya manusia yang tidak memakai meterai Allah pada dahinya. BSB BSB: They also had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the roar of many horses and chariots rushing into battle.
10 ULB Pada ekor mereka terdapat sengat menyerupai sengat kalajengking; pada ekor mereka itu terdapat kuasa untuk menyakiti manusia selama lima bulan. BSB BSB: They had tails with stingers like scorpions, which had the power to injure people for five months.
11 ULB Raja yang memerintah mereka adalah malaikat yang keluar dari jurang yang tak terduga dalamnya. Namanya dalam bahasa Ibrani adalah Abadon dan dalam bahasa Yunani adalah Apolion. BSB BSB: They were ruled by a king, the angel of the Abyss. His name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek it is Apollyon.
12 ULB Celaka yang pertama sudah lewat. Lihatlah! Sesudah ini masih ada lagi dua malapetaka yang akan terjadi. BSB BSB: The first woe has passed. Behold, two woes are still to follow.
13 ULB Malaikat yang keenam membunyikan sangkakalanya, dan aku mendengar ada suara yang keluar dari tanduk-tanduk mezbah emas di hadapan Allah. BSB BSB: Then the sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar before God
14 ULB Suara itu berkata kepada malaikat yang keenam yang memegang sangkakala, "Lepaskan keempat malaikat yang terikat di sungai besar Efrat." BSB BSB: saying to the sixth angel with the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.”
15 ULB Lalu dilepaskanlah keempat malaikat yang telah disiapkan untuk jam, hari, bulan dan tahun itu untuk membunuh sepertiga dari manusia. BSB BSB: So the four angels who had been prepared for this hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind.
16 ULB Jumlah dari tentara itu adalah dua ratus juta pasukan berkuda. Aku sendiri mendengar jumlah mereka. BSB BSB: And the number of mounted troops was two hundred million; I heard their number.
17 ULB Inilah yang aku lihat dalam penglihatanku tentang mereka yang menungganginya: Baju zirah mereka berwarna merah api, biru tua dan kuning belerang. Kepala dari kuda-kuda itu menyerupai kepala singa, dan dari mulut mereka keluar api, asap dan belerang. The heads of the horses were like the heads of lions, and out of their mouths proceeded fire, smoke, and sulfur.
18 ULB Sepertiga dari umat manusia mati oleh ketiga malapetaka ini yaitu api, asap dan belerang yang keluar dari mulut mereka. BSB BSB: A third of mankind was killed by the three plagues of fire, smoke, and sulfur that proceeded from their mouths.
19 ULB Karena kuasa dari kuda-kuda ini ada pada mulut mereka dan pada ekornya. Karena ekor mereka menyerupai ular, dan dengan kepalanya mereka melukai manusia. BSB BSB: For the power of the horses was in their mouths and in their tails; indeed, their tails were like snakes, having heads with which to inflict harm.
20 ULB Tetapi manusia lain, yang tidak mati oleh malapetaka ini, tidak juga mau bertobat dari perbuatan-perbuatan yang mereka lakukan, dan juga mereka tidak berhenti menyembah roh-roh jahat dan berhala-berhala dari emas, perak, tembaga, batu dan kayu, yang tidak dapat melihat, mendengar, atau berjalan. They did not stop worshiping demons and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk.
21 ULB dan mereka juga tidak mau bertobat dari membunuh, perbuatan sihir, percabulan, dan pencurian. BSB BSB: Furthermore, they did not repent of their murder, sorcery, sexual immorality, and theft.
