1OR nel giorno che Mosè ebbe finito di rizzare il Tabernacolo, e l'ebbe unto e consacrato, con tutti i suoi arredi: e l'Altare, con tutti i suoi strumenti;On the day Moses finished setting up the tabernacle, he anointed and consecrated it and all its furnishings, along with the altar and all its utensils.

2i principali d'Israele, capi delle case loro paterne, i quali erano i principali delle tribù, ed erano stati sopra le rassegne del popolo, fecero un'offerta.And the leaders of Israel, the heads of their families, presented an offering. These men were the tribal leaders who had supervised the registration.

3E l'addussero davanti al Signore, cioè: sei carri coperti e dodici buoi; un carro per due di que' principali, e un bue per uno; e offersero quelli davanti al Tabernacolo.They brought as their offering before the LORD six covered carts and twelve oxen—an ox from each leader and a cart from every two leaders—and presented them before the tabernacle.

4E il Signore parlò a Mosè, dicendo:And the LORD said to Moses,

5Prendili da loro, e sieno impiegati nei servigi del Tabernacolo della convenenza, e dalli a' Leviti; acciocchè se ne servano, ciascuno secondo il suo servigio.“Accept these gifts from them, that they may be used in the work of the Tent of Meeting. And give them to the Levites, to each man according to his service.”

6Mosè adunque prese que' carri e quei buoi, e li diede a' Leviti.So Moses took the carts and oxen and gave them to the Levites.

7A' figliuoli di Gherson diede due di que' carri, e quattro di que' buoi, per servirsene secondo il lor servigio.He gave the Gershonites two carts and four oxen, as their service required,

8E a' figliuoli di Merari diede i quattro altri carri, e gli altri otto buoi, per servirsene secondo il lor servigio; sotto la sopraintendenza d'Itamar, figliuolo del Sacerdote Aaronne.and he gave the Merarites four carts and eight oxen, as their service required, all under the direction of Ithamar son of Aaron the priest.

9Ma a' figliuoli di Chehat non ne diede; perciocchè il servigio del Santuario era loro imposto; essi aveano da portare in su le spalle.But he did not give any to the Kohathites, since they were to carry on their shoulders the holy objects for which they were responsible.

10Oltre a ciò, que' principali fecero una offerta per la dedicazione dell'Altare, nel giorno ch'egli fu unto; e l'offersero davanti all'Altare.When the altar was anointed, the leaders approached with their offerings for its dedication and presented them before the altar.

11E il Signore disse a Mosè: Di questi capi uno per giorno offerisca la sua offerta, per la Dedicazione dell'Altare.And the LORD said to Moses, “Each day one leader is to present his offering for the dedication of the altar.”

12E colui che offerse la sua offerta il primo giorno, fu Naasson, figliuolo di Amminadab, della tribù di Giuda.On the first day Nahshon son of Amminadab from the tribe of Judah drew near with his offering.

Thus the LORD spoke to him.
