2. 1KJVBe ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;BSBBSB: Be imitators of God, therefore, as beloved children,
3. 2KJVAnd walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.BSBBSB: and walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant sacrificial offering to God.
4. 3KJVBut fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;BSBBSB: But among you, as is proper among the saints, there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed.
5. 4KJVNeither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.BSBBSB: Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk, or crude joking, which are out of character, but rather thanksgiving.
6. 5KJVFor this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.BSBBSB: For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure, or greedy person (that is, an idolater) has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

13. 11KJVAnd have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.BSBBSB: Have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
14. 12KJVFor it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.BSBBSB: For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.
15. 13KJVBut all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.BSBBSB: But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for everything that is illuminated becomes a light itself.
16. 14KJVWherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.BSBBSB: So it is said: “Wake up, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”

25. 22KJVWives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.BSBBSB: Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord.
26. 23KJVFor the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.BSBBSB: For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, His body, of which He is the Savior.
27. 24KJVTherefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.BSBBSB: Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
28. 25KJVHusbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;BSBBSB: Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her

31. 28KJVSo ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.BSBBSB: In the same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
32. 29KJVFor no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:BSBBSB: Indeed, no one ever hated his own body, but he nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church.
33. 30KJVFor we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.BSBBSB: For we are members of His body.
34. 31KJVFor this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.BSBBSB: “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”
35. 32KJVThis is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.BSBBSB: This mystery is profound, but I am speaking about Christ and the church.
36. 33KJVNevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.BSBBSB: Nevertheless, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
