1 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನ ನಾಮಮಹತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗುಂಟಾದ ಕೀರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಶೆಬೆದ ರಾಣಿಯು ಕೇಳಿ, ಅವನನ್ನು ಒಗಟುಗಳಿಂದ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬಂದಳು. BSB BSB: Now when the queen of Sheba heard about the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to test him with difficult questions.
2 ULB ಆಕೆಯು ಸುಗಂಧದ್ರವ್ಯ, ಅಪರಿಮಿತವಾದ ಬಂಗಾರ, ರತ್ನ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಒಂಟೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಮಹಾಪರಿವಾರದೊಡನೆ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ತನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಗೊತ್ತುಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನೊಡನೆ ಸಂಭಾಷಿಸಿದಳು. BSB BSB: She arrived in Jerusalem with a very large caravan—with camels bearing spices, gold in great abundance, and precious stones. And she came to Solomon and spoke to him all that was on her mind.
3 ULB ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಆಕೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗಳಿಗೂ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದಂಥದ್ದು ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲವಾದುದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಅವೆಲ್ಲವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು. BSB BSB: And Solomon answered all her questions; nothing was too difficult for the king to explain.
4 ULB ಶೆಬೆದ ರಾಣಿಯು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜ್ಞಾನ, ಅವನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ ಅರಮನೆ, BSB BSB: When the queen of Sheba saw all the wisdom of Solomon, the palace he had built,
5 ULB ಅವನ ಭೋಜನಪೀಠದ ಆಹಾರ, ಆ ಪೀಠದ ಸುತ್ತಲಿರುವ ಉದ್ಯೋಗಸ್ಥರ ಆಸನಗಳು, ಅವನ ಪರಿಚಾರಕರ ಸೇವಾಕ್ರಮ, ಅವರ ಉಡುಪುಗಳು, ಅವನ ಪಾನಕಗಳು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗಹೋಮಗಳನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ವಿಸ್ಮಿತಳಾಗಿ ಹೋದಳು. BSB BSB: the food at his table, the seating of his servants, the service and attire of his attendants, his cupbearers, and the burnt offerings he presented at the house of the LORD, it took her breath away.
6 ULB ಅವಳು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ, <<ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು, ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕುರಿತು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದು ಸತ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. BSB BSB: She said to the king, “The report I heard in my own country about your words and wisdom is true.
7 ULB ನಾನಾಗಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಕಣ್ಣಾರೆ ನೋಡುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ಜನರು ಹೇಳಿದ ಸುದ್ದಿಯನ್ನು ನಂಬಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಈಗ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದು ನೋಡಿದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾನವೈಭವಗಳು ನಾನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿವೆ. ಜನರು ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಧವನ್ನಾದರೂ ಹೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. BSB BSB: But I did not believe these things until I came and saw with my own eyes. Indeed, not even half was told to me. Your wisdom and prosperity have far exceeded the report I heard.
8 ULB ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳು ಸದಾ ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು ನಿನ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾನವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರು ಧನ್ಯರು. BSB BSB: How blessed are your men! How blessed are these servants of yours who stand continually before you and hear your wisdom!
9 ULB ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳ್ಳಿರಿಸಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವಾಗಲಿ. ಆತನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಸದಾ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವನಾದುದರಿಂದ ಅವರ ನೀತಿನ್ಯಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೇ ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಳು. BSB BSB: Blessed be the LORD your God, who has delighted in you to set you on the throne of Israel. Because of the LORD’s eternal love for Israel, He has made you king to carry out justice and righteousness.”
10 ULB ಆಕೆಯು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ನೂರಿಪ್ಪತ್ತು ತಲಾಂತು ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನೂ, ಅಪರಿಮಿತ ಸುಗಂಧದ್ರವ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ರತ್ನಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟಳು. ಶೆಬೆದ ರಾಣಿಯು ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಷ್ಟು ಸುಗಂಧದ್ರವ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಪುನಃ ಯಾರು ಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಬರಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. BSB BSB: Then she gave the king 120 talents of gold, a great quantity of spices, and precious stones. Never again were spices in such abundance brought in as those the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.
11 ULB ಹೀರಾಮನ ಹಡಗುಗಳು ಓಫೀರ್ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ಸುಗಂಧದ ಮರವನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ರತ್ನಗಳನ್ನೂ ರಾಶಿ ರಾಶಿಯಾಗಿ ತಂದವು. BSB BSB: (The fleet of Hiram that brought gold from Ophir also brought from Ophir a great cargo of almug wood and precious stones.
12 ULB ಅರಸನು ಸುಗಂಧದ ಮರದಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಅರಮನೆ ಇವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ತಂಭಗಳನ್ನು, ಗಾಯಕರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕಿನ್ನರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಸ್ವರಮಂಡಲಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು. ಆಗ ಬಂದಷ್ಟು ಸುಗಂಧದ ಮರವು ಇಂದಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಆ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ. BSB BSB: The king made the almug wood into steps for the house of the LORD and for the king’s palace, and into lyres and harps for the singers. Never before had such almug wood been brought in, nor has such been seen again to this day.)
13 ULB ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಶೆಬೆದ ರಾಣಿಗೆ ತಾನಾಗಿ ರಾಜಮರ್ಯಾದೆಯಿಂದ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ವಸ್ತುಗಳಲ್ಲದೆ ಆಕೆಯು ಕೇಳಿದವುಗಳೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಅನಂತರ ಆಕೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಪರಿವಾರದೊಡನೆ ಸ್ವದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟುಹೋದಳು. BSB BSB: King Solomon gave the queen of Sheba all she desired—whatever she asked—besides what he had given her out of his royal bounty. Then she left and returned to her own country, along with her servants.
14 ULB ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರುನೂರ ಅರುವತ್ತಾರು ತಲಾಂತು ಬಂಗಾರ ದೊರಕುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. BSB BSB: The weight of gold that came to Solomon each year was 666 talents,
15 ULB ಅದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ದೇಶಾಂತರ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿಗಳೂ, ವರ್ತಕರೂ, ಅರಬಿಯ ಅರಸರೂ, ಪ್ರದೇಶಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳೂ ಸಹ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನಿಗೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. BSB BSB: not including the revenue from the merchants, traders, and all the Arabian kings and governors of the land.
16 ULB ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಬಂಗಾರದ ತಗಡಿನಿಂದ ಇನ್ನೂರು ಗುರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಗುರಾಣಿಗೆ ಆರುನೂರು ತೊಲಾ ಬಂಗಾರ ಹಿಡಿಯಿತು. BSB BSB: King Solomon made two hundred large shields of hammered gold; six hundred shekels of gold went into each shield.
17 ULB ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವನು ಬಂಗಾರದ ತಗಡಿನಿಂದ ಮುನ್ನೂರು ಖೇಡ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದನು. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಖೇಡ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ನೂರೈವತ್ತು ತೊಲಾ ಬಂಗಾರ ಹಿಡಿಯಿತು. ಅವನು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಲೆಬನೋನಿನ ತೋಪು ಎನ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರಿಸಿದನು. 19 ULB ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆರು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲುಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಅದರ ಹಿಂಭಾಗದ ತುದಿಯು ಚಕ್ರಾಕಾರವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆಸನಕ್ಕೆ ಎರಡು ಕೈಗಳು, ಅವುಗಳ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಎರಡು ಸಿಂಹಗಳು ಇದ್ದವು. BSB BSB: The throne had six steps, and its back had a rounded top. There were armrests on both sides of the seat, with a lion standing beside each armrest.
20 ULB ಆರು ಮೆಟ್ಟಲುಗಳ ಎರಡು ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಒಟ್ಟು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಸಿಂಹಗಳು ನಿಂತಿದ್ದವು. ಇಂಥ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನವು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. BSB BSB: Twelve lions stood on the six steps, one at either end of each step. Nothing like this had ever been made for any kingdom.
21 ULB ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಪಾನಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳು, ಲೆಬನೋನಿನ ತೋಪು ಎನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಾನಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳು ಬಂಗಾರದವುಗಳು. ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಗೆ ಬೆಲೆ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲವಾದುದರಿಂದ ಅವನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ಸಾಮಾನು ಒಂದಾದರೂ ಕಾಣಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. BSB BSB: All King Solomon’s drinking cups were gold, and all the utensils of the House of the Forest of Lebanon were pure gold. There was no silver, because it was accounted as nothing in the days of Solomon.
22 ULB ಹೀರಾಮನ ನಾವೆಗಳ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ತಾರ್ಷೀಷ್ ಹಡಗುಗಳು ಹೋಗಿ ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಕ್ಕೊಮ್ಮೆ ಬಂಗಾರ, ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ, ದಂತ, ವಾನರಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ನವಿಲುಗಳನ್ನೂ ತರುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು. BSB BSB: For the king had the ships of Tarshish at sea with Hiram’s fleet, and once every three years the ships of Tarshish would arrive bearing gold, silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.
23 ULB ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನು ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಜ್ಞಾನದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಭೂಲೋಕದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅರಸರಿಗಿಂತ ಮಿಗಿಲಾಗಿದ್ದನು. BSB BSB: So King Solomon surpassed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.
24 ULB ಭೂಲೋಕದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ದೇವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ ಜ್ಞಾನವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಅವನ ದರ್ಶನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು. BSB BSB: The whole world sought an audience with Solomon to hear the wisdom that God had put in his heart.
25 ULB ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ವರ್ಷ ವರ್ಷ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಬಂಗಾರದ ಸಾಮಾನು, ಉಡುಪು, ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಆಯುಧಗಳು, ಸುಗಂಧದ್ರವ್ಯ, ಕುದುರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಹೇಸರಗತ್ತೆ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. BSB BSB: Year after year, each visitor would bring his tribute: articles of silver and gold, clothing, weapons, spices, horses, and mules.
27 ULB ಅವನ ಮುಖಾಂತರವಾಗಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಾಗೂ ದೇವದಾರುಮರಗಳು ಇಳಕಲಿನ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುವ ಅತ್ತಿಮರಗಳ ಹಾಗೂ ಹೇರಳವಾಗಿ ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. BSB BSB: The king made silver as common in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar as abundant as sycamore in the foothills.
28 ULB ಅರಸನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಕುದುರೆಗಳು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದವುಗಳು. ಅವನ ವರ್ತಕರು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂಡುಗಟ್ಟಲೆ ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. BSB BSB: Solomon’s horses were imported from Egypt and Kue; the royal merchants purchased them from Kue.
29 ULB ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಿಂದ ರಥಗಳನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಕುದುರೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ತರಿಸಬೇಕಾದರೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ರಥಕ್ಕೆ ಆರುನೂರು ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಕುದುರೆಗೆ ನೂರೈವತ್ತು ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡಬೇಕಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಅವು ಹಿತ್ತಿಯರ ಮತ್ತು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅರಸರಿಗೆ ಇವರ ಮುಖಾಂತರವಾಗಿಯೇ ಮಾರಾಟವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು. BSB BSB: A chariot could be imported from Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and a horse for a hundred and fifty. Likewise, they exported them to all the kings of the Hittites and to the kings of Aram.
