1 ULB ಬಾಲಕನಾದ ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಏಲಿಯ ಕೈಕೆಳಗಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ದೈವೋಕ್ತಿಗಳು ವಿರಳವಾಗಿದ್ದವು; ದೇವದರ್ಶನಗಳು ಅಪರೂಪವಾಗಿದ್ದವು. BSB BSB: And the boy Samuel ministered to the LORD before Eli. Now in those days the word of the LORD was rare, and visions were scarce.
2 ULB ಏಲಿಯ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳು ದಿನದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊಬ್ಬಾಗುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದು ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿಸದೆಹೋಗಿದ್ದವು. ಅವನು ಒಂದು ರಾತ್ರಿ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದನು; BSB BSB: And at that time Eli, whose eyesight had grown so dim that he could not see, was lying in his room.
3 ULB ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರ ಮಂಜೂಷವಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗಿದ್ದನು. ಆಗ ದೇವದೀಪವು ಇನ್ನೂ ಉರಿಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. BSB BSB: Before the lamp of God had gone out, Samuel was lying down in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was located.
4 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನು ಸಮುವೇಲನನ್ನು ಕರೆದನು; ಸಮುವೇಲನು <<ಇಗೋ ಬಂದೆ>> ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟು ಒಡನೆ ಏಲಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, BSB BSB: Then the LORD called to Samuel, and he answered, “Here I am.”
5 ULB <<ಇಗೋ ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆದೆಯಲ್ಲವೇ?>> ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಏಲಿಯು, <<ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಹೋಗಿ ಮಲಗಿಕೋ>> ಅಂದನು. ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಹೋಗಿ ಮಲಗಿದನು. BSB BSB: He ran to Eli and said, “Here I am, for you have called me.” “I did not call,” Eli replied. “Go back and lie down.” So he went and lay down.
6 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನು ತಿರುಗಿ, <<ಸಮುವೇಲನೇ>> ಎಂದು ಕರೆದನು. ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಕೂಡಲೆ ಎದ್ದು ಏಲಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, <<ಇಗೋ, ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ನೀನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ>> ಅನ್ನಲು ಅವನು, <<ನನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ, ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಲಿಲ್ಲಾ, ಹೋಗಿ ಮಲಗಿಕೋ>> ಎಂದನು. BSB BSB: Once again the LORD called, “Samuel!” So Samuel got up, went to Eli, and said, “Here I am, for you have called me.” “My son, I did not call,” Eli replied. “Go back and lie down.”
7 ULB ಆವರೆಗೂ ಸಮುವೇಲನಿಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಅನುಭವವಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವನು ದೈವೋಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. BSB BSB: Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, because the word of the LORD had not yet been revealed to him.
8 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನು ಸಮುವೇಲನನ್ನು ಮೂರನೆಯ ಸಾರಿ ಕರೆದನು. ಅವನು ತಟ್ಟನೆ ಏಲಿಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಹೋಗಿ, <<ಇಗೋ, ಬಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆದಿಯಲ್ಲಾ>> ಅನ್ನಲು, ಹುಡುಗನನ್ನು ಕರೆದವನು ಯೆಹೋವನೇ ಎಂದು ಏಲಿಯು ತಿಳಿದು ಅವನಿಗೆ, <<ಹೋಗಿ ಮಲಗಿಕೋ; BSB BSB: Once again, for the third time, the LORD called to Samuel. He got up, went to Eli, and said, “Here I am, for you have called me.” Then Eli realized that it was the LORD who was calling the boy.
9 ULB ಪುನಃ ಆತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಾಗಲಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸನು ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳು ಅಂದನು. ಸಮುವೇಲನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಲಗಿಕೊಂಡನು. BSB BSB: “Go and lie down,” he said to Samuel, “and if He calls you, say, ‘Speak, LORD, for Your servant is listening.’” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
10 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷನಾಗಿ ಮುಂಚಿನಂತೆಯೇ <<ಸಮುವೇಲನೇ, ಸಮುವೇಲನೇ>> ಅಂದನು. ಸಮುವೇಲನು, <<ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಾಗಲಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸನು ಕೇಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ>> ಎಂದನು. BSB BSB: Then the LORD came and stood there, calling as before, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel answered, “Speak, for Your servant is listening.”
11 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನು ಸಮುವೇಲನಿಗೆ <<ನಾನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ವಿಶೇಷಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವೆನು; ಅದರ ವಿಷಯ ಕೇಳುವವರ ಎರಡು ಕಿವಿಗಳೂ ನಿಮಿರುವುವು. BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Samuel, “I am about to do something in Israel at which the ears of all who hear it will tingle.
12 ULB ಏಲಿಯ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ತಪ್ಪದೆ ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವೆನು. BSB BSB: On that day I will carry out against Eli everything I have spoken about his house, from beginning to end.
13 ULB ಅವನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಶಾಪಗ್ರಸ್ತರಾದರೆಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿದು ಬಂದರೂ ಅವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಪಾಪದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಅವನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ನಿತ್ಯದಂಡನೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮೊದಲೇ ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆನು. BSB BSB: I told him that I would judge his house forever for the iniquity of which he knows, because his sons blasphemed God and he did not restrain them.
14 ULB ಏಲಿಯ ಮನೆಯವರ ಅಪರಾಧಕ್ಕೆ ಯಜ್ಞ ಅಥವಾ ನೈವೇದ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಪ್ರಾಯಶ್ಚಿತ್ತವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಆಣೆಯಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: Therefore I have sworn to the house of Eli, ‘The iniquity of Eli’s house shall never be atoned for by sacrifice or offering.’”
15 ULB ಅನಂತರ ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಮಲಗಿ ಮುಂಜಾನೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಎದ್ದು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಂದಿರದ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆದನು. ಅವನು ತಾನು ಕಂಡದ್ದನ್ನು ಏಲಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟನು. BSB BSB: Samuel lay down until the morning; then he opened the doors of the house of the LORD. He was afraid to tell Eli the vision,
16 ULB ಆದರೆ ಏಲಿಯು, <<ನನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ, ಸಮುವೇಲನೇ>> ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲು ಅವನು, <<ಇಗೋ, ಇದ್ದೇನೆ>> ಎಂದನು. BSB BSB: but Eli called to him and said, “Samuel, my son.” “Here I am,” answered Samuel.
17 ULB ಆಗ ಏಲಿಯು ಅವನಿಗೆ, <<ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದೇನು? ಆತನ ಮಾತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದನ್ನಾದರೂ ಮುಚ್ಚಿಡಬೇಡ; ಮುಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟರೆ ಆತನು ಬೇಕಾದ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ದಂಡಿಸಲಿ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು BSB BSB: “What was the message He gave you?” Eli asked. “Do not hide it from me. May God punish you, and ever so severely, if you hide from me anything He said to you.”
18 ULB ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಮುಚ್ಚುಮರೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಎಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು. ಏಲಿಯು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, <<ಆತನು ಯೆಹೋವನು; ತನಗೆ ಸರಿಕಾಣುವುದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಿ>> ಎಂದನು. BSB BSB: So Samuel told him everything and did not hide a thing from him. “He is the LORD,” replied Eli. “Let Him do what is good in His eyes.”
19 ULB ಸಮುವೇಲನು ದೊಡ್ಡವನಾಗುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದನು. ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವನೊಡನೆ ಇದ್ದುದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೂ ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. BSB BSB: And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and He let none of Samuel’s words fall to the ground.
20 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದು ದಾನ್ ಊರಿನಿಂದ ಬೇರ್ಷೆಬದವರೆಗಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಯಿತು. BSB BSB: So all Israel from Dan to Beersheba knew that Samuel was confirmed as a prophet of the LORD.
21 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನು ಶೀಲೋವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ದರ್ಶನಕೊಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ವಾಕ್ಯದಿಂದ ಸಮುವೇಲನಿಗೆ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದನು. ಸಮುವೇಲನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ದೈವೋತ್ತರಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. BSB BSB: And the LORD continued to appear at Shiloh, because there He revealed Himself to Samuel by His word.
