2 ULB ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಜಕುಮಾರನಾಗಿರುವ ತಿಮೊಥೆಯನಿಗೆ ಬರೆಯುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದೇವರಿಂದಲೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಿಂದಲೂ ನಿನಗೆ ಕೃಪೆಯೂ ಕರುಣೆಯೂ ಶಾಂತಿಯೂ ಉಂಟಾಗಲಿ. BSB BSB: To Timothy, my true child in the faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
3 ULB ನಾನು ಮಕೆದೋನ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ನೀನು ಎಫೆಸದಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ಅಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕೆಲವರಿಗೆ, ನೀವು ಬೇರೆ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬಾರದೆಂತಲೂ, BSB BSB: As I urged you on my departure to Macedonia, you should stay on at Ephesus to instruct certain men not to teach false doctrines
4 ULB ಕಲ್ಪಿತಕಥೆಗಳಿಗೂ, ಕೊನೆಮೊದಲಿಲ್ಲದ ವಂಶಾವಳಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯ ಕೊಡಬಾರದೆಂತಲೂ, ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಬೇಕೆಂಬುದಾಗಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಈಗಲೂ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದೇನೆ. ಅಂತಹ ಕಥೆಗಳೂ, ವಂಶಾವಳಿಗಳೂ ವಿವಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಡೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆಯೇ ಹೊರತು ದೇವರ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಮಾತ್ರ ಅದು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. BSB BSB: or devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies, which promote speculation rather than the stewardship of God’s work, which is by faith.
5 ULB ಶುದ್ಧಹೃದಯ, ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮನಸ್ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ, ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕವಾದ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ಎಂಬಿವುಗಳಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯೇ ದೇವಾಜ್ಞೆಯ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. BSB BSB: The goal of our instruction is the love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and a sincere faith.

8 ULB ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದೆಂದು ಬಲ್ಲೆವು. ಆದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಅದರ ಉದ್ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಹಾಗೆ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಬೇಕು. BSB BSB: Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it legitimately.

11 ULB ಈ ಬೋಧನೆಯು ಭಾಗ್ಯವಂತನಾದ ದೇವರ ಮಹಿಮೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸುವ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಗೆ ಅನುಸಾರವಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯ ಸೇವೆಯು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು. BSB BSB: that agrees with the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted.

14 ULB ಆದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನ ಕೃಪೆಯು ಅತ್ಯಧಿಕವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಉಕ್ಕಿಸಿತ್ತು. BSB BSB: And the grace of our Lord overflowed to me, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
15 ULB ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತಯೇಸು ಪಾಪಿಗಳನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಈ ಲೋಕಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದನು ಎಂಬ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ನಂಬತಕ್ಕದ್ದಾಗಿಯೂ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗೀಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯವಾದದ್ದಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದ, ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ಆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಾಪಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನೇ ಪ್ರಮುಖನು. BSB BSB: This is a trustworthy saying, worthy of full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the worst.
16 ULB ಆದರೆ ಇನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಡುವವರಿಗೆ, ತನ್ನ ದೀರ್ಘಶಾಂತಿಯ ದೃಷ್ಟಾಂತವಿರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವು ಪಾಪಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮುಖನಾಗಿದ್ದ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ಣ ದೀರ್ಘಶಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ತೋರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದನು. BSB BSB: But for this very reason I was shown mercy, so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display His perfect patience as an example to those who would believe in Him for eternal life.
17 ULB ಸರ್ವಯುಗಗಳ ಅರಸನೂ, ಅಮರನೂ, ಅದೃಶ್ಯನೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಏಕದೇವರಿಗೆ ಘನವೂ ಮಹಿಮೆಯೂ ಯುಗಯುಗಾಂತರಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರಲಿ. ಆಮೆನ್. BSB BSB: Now to the King eternal, immortal, and invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
18 ULB ಮಗನಾದ ತಿಮೊಥೆಯನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲು ಉಂಟಾಗಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆಗಳನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ನೀನು ಅವುಗಳಿಂದ ಧೈರ್ಯಹೊಂದಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಯುದ್ಧವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ. BSB BSB: Timothy, my child, I entrust you with this command in keeping with the previous prophecies about you, so that by them you may fight the good fight,
19 ULB ನಂಬಿಕೆಯನ್ನೂ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮನಸ್ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನೂ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡಿರು. ಕೆಲವರು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಮನಸ್ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯೆಂಬ ಹಡಗು ಒಡೆದು, ನಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟವರಂತೆ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ. BSB BSB: holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and thereby shipwrecked their faith.
20 ULB ಹುಮೆನಾಯನೂ ಅಲೆಕ್ಸಾಂದರನೂ ಇಂಥವರೇ. ಇವರು ದೇವದೂಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಬಾರದೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ಕಲಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಇವರನ್ನು ಸೈತಾನನಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟೆನು. BSB BSB: Among them are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme.
