BSB BSB: When Rehoboam arrived in Jerusalem, he mobilized the house of Judah and Benjamin—180,000 chosen warriors—to fight against Israel and restore the kingdom to Rehoboam.
2 ULB ಆಗ ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಾದ ಶೆಮಾಯನಿಗೆ, ಯೆಹೋವನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಉಂಟಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ, BSB BSB: But the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah the man of God:
3 ULB <<ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಮಗನೂ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನಿಗೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನ್ ಕುಲಗಳ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ, BSB BSB: “Tell Rehoboam son of Solomon king of Judah and all the Israelites in Judah and Benjamin
4 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, <ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರೊಡನೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬಾರದು. ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗಿರಿ; ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಂದಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು>>> ಎಂಬ ಯೆಹೋವನ ವಾಕ್ಯವುಂಟಾಗಲು ಅವರು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಡದೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋದರು. BSB BSB: that this is what the LORD says: ‘You are not to go up and fight against your brothers. Each of you must return home, for this is My doing.’” So they listened to the words of the LORD and turned back from going against Jeroboam.

7 ULB ಬೇತ್ಚೂರ್, ಸೋಕೋ, ಅದುಲ್ಲಾಮ್, BSB BSB: Beth-zur, Soco, Adullam,
8 ULB ಗತ್ ಊರು, ಮಾರೇಷ, ಜೀಫ್ BSB BSB: Gath, Mareshah, Ziph,
9 ULB ಅದೋರೈಮ್, ಲಾಕೀಷ್, ಅಜೇಕ, BSB BSB: Adoraim, Lachish, Azekah,
10 ULB ಚೊರ್ಗ, ಅಯ್ಯಾಲೋನ್, ಹೆಬ್ರೋನ್. ಕೋಟೆಕೊತ್ತಲುಗಳುಳ್ಳ ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಯೆಹೂದ ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನ್ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದವು. BSB BSB: Zorah, Aijalon, and Hebron, the fortified cities in Judah and Benjamin.
11 ULB ಅವನು ಈ ಕೋಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿ, ನಾಯಕರ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು, ಪ್ರತಿ ಒಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಆಹಾರಪದಾರ್ಥ, ಎಣ್ಣೆ, ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿಟ್ಟನು. ಗುರಾಣಿ ಬರ್ಜಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿಟ್ಟನು. BSB BSB: He strengthened their fortifications and put officers in them, with supplies of food, oil, and wine.
12 ULB ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುರಾಣಿ ಬರ್ಜಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಭದ್ರಪಡಿಸಿದನು. ಯೆಹೂದ ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನ್ ಕುಲಗಳು ಅವನ ಸ್ವಾಧೀನದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದವು. BSB BSB: He also put shields and spears in all the cities and strengthened them greatly. So Judah and Benjamin belonged to him.
13 ULB ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಯಾಜಕರೂ ಮತ್ತು ಲೇವಿಯರೂ ಅವನೊಡನೆ ಬಂದು ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡರು. BSB BSB: Moreover, the priests and Levites from all their districts throughout Israel stood with Rehoboam.
14 ULB ಲೇವಿಯರು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಯಾಜಕ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡದಂತೆ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಹಿಷ್ಕರಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಲೇವಿಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹುಲ್ಲುಗಾವಲುಗಳಿದ್ದ ತಮ್ಮ ಆಸ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಯೆಹೂದಕ್ಕೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೂ ಬಂದರು. BSB BSB: For the Levites left their pasturelands and their possessions and went to Judah and Jerusalem, because Jeroboam and his sons had rejected them as priests of the LORD.
15 ULB ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನು ತಾನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದ ಪೂಜಾ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಹೋರಿಕುರಿಗಳ ಮೂರ್ತಿ ಪೂಜೆಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಬೇರೆ ಪೂಜಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು. BSB BSB: And Jeroboam appointed his own priests for the high places and for the goat demons and calf idols he had made.
16 ULB ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕುಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಬಯಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಯಜ್ಞವನ್ನರ್ಪಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆ ಲೇವಿಯರನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು. BSB BSB: Those from every tribe of Israel who had set their hearts to seek the LORD their God followed the Levites to Jerusalem to sacrifice to the LORD, the God of their fathers.
17 ULB ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದಾವೀದ ಹಾಗು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನರ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲೇ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಯೆಹೂದ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಆ ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿ, ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಮಗನಾದ ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಬಲಗೊಂಡನು. BSB BSB: So they strengthened the kingdom of Judah and supported Rehoboam son of Solomon for three years, because they walked for three years in the way of David and Solomon.
18 ULB ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ದಾವೀದನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆರೀಮೋತನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಮಹ್ಲತ್ತಳನ್ನು, ಇಷಯನ ಮೊಮ್ಮಗಳೂ ಎಲೀಯಾಬನ ಮಗಳೂ ಆದ ಅಬೀಹೈಲಳನ್ನೂ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡನು. BSB BSB: And Rehoboam married Mahalath, who was the daughter of David’s son Jerimoth and of Abihail, the daughter of Jesse’s son Eliab.
19 ULB ಆಕೆಯು ಅವನಿಂದ ಯೆಗೂಷ್, ಶೆಮರ್ಯ, ಜಾಹಮ್ ಎಂಬ ಗಂಡು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತಳು. BSB BSB: She bore sons to him: Jeush, Shemariah, and Zaham.
20 ULB ಅನಂತರ ಅವನು ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಮಾಕ ಎಂಬಾಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡನು; ಆಕೆಯು ಅವನಿಂದ ಅಬೀಯ, ಅತ್ತೈ, ಜೀಜ, ಶೆಲೋಮೀತ್ ಎಂಬುವರನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತಳು. BSB BSB: After her, he married Maacah daughter of Absalom, and she bore to him Abijah, Attai, Ziza, and Shelomith.
21 ULB ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ತನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪತ್ನಿಯರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಉಪಪತ್ನಿಯರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಮಾಕಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹದಿನೆಂಟು ಮಂದಿ ಪತ್ನಿಯರೂ, ಅರುವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಉಪಪತ್ನಿಯರೂ ಇದ್ದರು. ಇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೆಂಟು ಮಂದಿ ಗಂಡುಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಅರುವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದರು. BSB BSB: Rehoboam loved Maacah daughter of Absalom more than all his wives and concubines. In all, he had eighteen wives and sixty concubines, and he was the father of twenty-eight sons and sixty daughters.
22 ULB ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಮಾಕಳ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಬೀಯನನ್ನು ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅವನ ಅಣ್ಣ ತಮ್ಮಂದಿರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಪ್ರಭುವನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು. BSB BSB: Rehoboam appointed Abijah son of Maacah as chief prince among his brothers, intending to make him king.
23 ULB ತನ್ನ ಉಳಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಜಾಣತನದಿಂದ ವಿಂಗಡಿಸಿ, ಯೆಹೂದ ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನ್ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕೋಟೆಕೊತ್ತಲುಗಳುಳ್ಳ ಆಯಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿರಿಸಿ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿ, ಅನೇಕ ಮಂದಿ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರನ್ನೂ ಗೊತ್ತು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು. BSB BSB: Rehoboam also acted wisely by dispersing some of his sons throughout the districts of Judah and Benjamin, and to all the fortified cities. He gave them abundant provisions and sought many wives for them.
