She put him and his nurse in a bedroom to hide him from Athaliah, and he was not killed.

8 ULB ನೀವು ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯುಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಅವನ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನಿಂತು, ಅವನ ಗುಂಪಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನುಗ್ಗುವಂತವನನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಬೇಕು. ಅರಸನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬರುವಾಗಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೀವು ಅವನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ಇರಬೇಕು. ಇದೇ ನನ್ನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: You must surround the king with weapons in hand, and anyone who approaches the ranks must be put to death. You must stay close to the king wherever he goes.”
9 ULB ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾಮನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದಂತೆ, ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗತಕ್ಕ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಯುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬರತಕ್ಕ ಸಿಪಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ರಾಜಪುತ್ರನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು. Each of them took his men—those coming on duty on the Sabbath and those going off duty—and came to Jehoiada the priest.
10 ULB ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನು ಆ ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ರಾಜನಾದ ದಾವೀದನ ಬರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನೂ, ಗುರಾಣಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. BSB BSB: Then the priest gave to the commanders of hundreds the spears and shields of King David from the house of the LORD.
11 ULB ಕಾವಲುದಂಡಿನವರು ಆಯುಧ ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಕಾಯುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ಮೂಲೆಯಿಂದ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯವರೆಗೂ, ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ಮೂಲೆಯವರೆಗೂ ಸಾಲಾಗಿ ನಿಂತರು. BSB BSB: And the guards stood with weapons in hand surrounding the king by the altar and the temple, from the south side to the north side of the temple.
12 ULB ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನು ರಾಜಪುತ್ರನನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದು, ಅವನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಿರೀಟವನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟು ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು, ಅವನಿಗೆ ರಾಜ್ಯಾಭಿಷೇಕ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಕೂಡಲೆ ಜನರು ಚಪ್ಪಾಳೆ ತಟ್ಟುತ್ತಾ, <<ಅರಸನು ಚಿರಂಜೀವಿಯಾಗಿರಲಿ>> ಎಂದು ಕೂಗಿದರು. BSB BSB: Then Jehoiada brought out the king’s son, put the crown on him, presented him with the Testimony, and proclaimed him king. They anointed him, and the people clapped their hands and declared, “Long live the king!”

BSB BSB: And she looked out and saw the king standing by the pillar, according to the custom. The officers and trumpeters were beside the king, and all the people of the land were rejoicing and blowing trumpets. Then Athaliah tore her clothes and screamed, “Treason! Treason!”
15 ULB ಆಗ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನು ಸೇನಾನಿಗಳಾದ, ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳಿಗೆ, <<ಈಕೆಯನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಲ್ಲಬೇಡಿರಿ ಸಿಪಾಯಿಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಕೊಲ್ಲಿರಿ>> ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು. BSB BSB: And Jehoiada the priest ordered the commanders of hundreds in charge of the army, “Bring her out between the ranks, and put to the sword anyone who follows her.” For the priest had said, “She must not be put to death in the house of the LORD.”
16 ULB ಅವರು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ಬಾಗಿಲಿನಿಂದ ರಾಜನ ಅರಮನೆಗೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ದು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. BSB BSB: So they seized Athaliah as she reached the horses’ entrance to the palace grounds, and there she was put to death.
17 ULB ಅನಂತರ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯಿಂದ ಅರಸನೂ, ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳೂ ತಾವು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಾಗಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ರಾಜಪ್ರಜೆಗಳೂ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. BSB BSB: Then Jehoiada made a covenant between the LORD and the king and the people that they would be the LORD’s people. He also made a covenant between the king and the people.
18 ULB ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಬಾಳನ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಬಾಳನ ಪೂಜಾರಿಯಾದ ಮತ್ತಾನನನ್ನು ಬಲಿಪೀಠಗಳ ಎದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಕೊಂದು, ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನೂ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಬಲಿಪೀಠಗಳನ್ನೂ, ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಹಾಳುಮಾಡಿದರು. ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾವಲಿಟ್ಟನು. BSB BSB: So all the people of the land went to the temple of Baal and tore it down. They smashed the altars and idols to pieces, and they killed Mattan the priest of Baal in front of the altars. And Jehoiada the priest posted guards for the house of the LORD.
19 ULB ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದಾವನು ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು, ಕಾರಿಯರು ಎನ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳ ಕಾವಲುದಂಡನ್ನು, ಸಾಧಾರಣ ಜನರನ್ನು ಅವರೊಡನೆ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವಾಷನನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾವಲುದಂಡಿನವರ ಬಾಗಿಲಿನ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಅರಮನೆಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ರಾಜಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳ್ಳಿರಿಸಿದನು. BSB BSB: He took with him the commanders of hundreds, the Carites, the guards, and all the people of the land, and they brought the king down from the house of the LORD and entered the royal palace by way of the Gate of the Guards. Then Joash took his seat on the royal throne,
20 ULB ದೇಶದವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟರು. ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಂತಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿತು. ಅತಲ್ಯಳನ್ನು ರಾಜನ ಅರಮನೆಯ ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದರು. BSB BSB: and all the people of the land rejoiced. And the city was quiet, because Athaliah had been put to the sword at the royal palace.
