1 ULB ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಆಹಾಜನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯ ಹನ್ನೆರಡನೆಯ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಏಲನ ಮಗನಾದ ಹೋಶೇಯನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಅರಸನಾಗಿ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂಭತ್ತು ವರ್ಷ ಆಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: In the twelfth year of the reign of Ahaz over Judah, Hoshea son of Elah became king of Israel, and he reigned in Samaria nine years.
2 ULB ಹೋಶೇಯನು ತನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಅರಸರಷ್ಟು ಕೆಟ್ಟವನಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲವಾದರೂ, ಯೆಹೋವನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ರೋಹಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದನು. BSB BSB: And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, but not like the kings of Israel who preceded him.
3 ULB ಅಶ್ಶೂರದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಶಲ್ಮನೆಸರನು ಹೋಶೇಯನಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಬಂದಾಗ, ಹೋಶೇಯನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅಧೀನನಾಗಿ ಕಪ್ಪಕೊಡುವವನಾದನು. BSB BSB: Shalmaneser king of Assyria attacked him, and Hoshea became his vassal and paid him tribute.

BSB BSB: But the king of Assyria discovered that Hoshea had conspired to send envoys to King So of Egypt, and that he had not paid tribute to the king of Assyria as in previous years. Therefore the king of Assyria arrested Hoshea and put him in prison.
5 ULB ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಅಶ್ಶೂರದ ಅರಸನು ದೇಶವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಸಮಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳವರೆಗೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದನು. BSB BSB: Then the king of Assyria invaded the whole land, marched up to Samaria, and besieged it for three years.
7 ULB ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಈ ದುರ್ಗತಿಗೆ, ಅವರ ದುರ್ನಡತೆಯೇ ಕಾರಣ. ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಫರೋಹನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸಿ, ಅವನ ರಾಜ್ಯದಿಂದ ಹೊರತಂದ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡದೆ, ಪಾಪಮಾಡಿ ಅನ್ಯದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಿದರು. BSB BSB: All this happened because the people of Israel had sinned against the LORD their God, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. They had worshiped other gods
8 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನು ತಮ್ಮ ಎದುರಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಮತ್ತು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ರಾಜರ ದುರಾಚಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದರು. BSB BSB: and walked in the customs of the nations that the LORD had driven out before the Israelites, as well as in the practices introduced by the kings of Israel.
9 ULB ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾದ ಗುಪ್ತವಾದ ದುಷ್ಟ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರ ಗೋಪುರವುಳ್ಳ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಊರು ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಕೋಟೆಕೊತ್ತಲುಗಳುಳ್ಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣದವರೆಗಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಊರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು. BSB BSB: The Israelites secretly did things against the LORD their God that were not right. From watchtower to fortified city, they built high places in all their cities.
10 ULB ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದಿನ್ನೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಹಸುರು ಮರಗಳ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಕಲ್ಲು ಕಂಬ, ಅಶೇರ ವಿಗ್ರಹಸ್ತಂಭ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. BSB BSB: They set up for themselves sacred pillars and Asherah poles on every high hill and under every green tree.
11 ULB ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಯೆಹೋವನು ತಮ್ಮ ಎದುರಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿ ಜಡಿಸಿದ ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗಗಳಂತೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಧೂಪವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿ, ತಮ್ಮ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಿಂದ ಆತನನ್ನು ರೇಗಿಸಿದರು. BSB BSB: They burned incense on all the high places like the nations that the LORD had driven out before them. They did wicked things, provoking the LORD to anger.
12 ULB <<ನೀವು ಇಂತಹ ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬಾರದು>> ಎಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದರೂ ಅವರು ಆತನ ಅಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ಅವರು ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸಿದರು. BSB BSB: They served idols, although the LORD had told them, “You shall not do this thing.”
13 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನು ದರ್ಶಕರೆನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮುಖಾಂತರವಾಗಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಿಗೆ, <<ನೀವು, ನಿಮ್ಮ ದುರಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಿಗೂ, ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮುಖಾಂತರವಾಗಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಂಥ ನನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆಜ್ಞಾನಿಯಮವಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ನಡೆಯಿರಿ>> ಎಂದು ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿಸಿದನು. BSB BSB: Yet through all His prophets and seers, the LORD warned Israel and Judah, saying, “Turn from your wicked ways and keep My commandments and statutes, according to the entire Law that I commanded your fathers and delivered to you through My servants the prophets.”
14 ULB ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ನಂಬದೆ, ಆತನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಣಿಯದೆ ಇದ್ದ ತಮ್ಮ ಹಿರಿಯರಂತೆ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡದೆ ಹೋದರು. BSB BSB: But they would not listen, and they stiffened their necks like their fathers, who did not believe the LORD their God.
15 ULB ಆತನು ತಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ವಿಧಿನಿಬಂಧನೆಗಳನ್ನೂ, ತಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಿಸಿದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ, ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾದ ದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಿ ನಿಷ್ಪ್ರಯೋಜಕರಾದರು. ಸುತ್ತಣ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಬಾರದೆಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದರೂ ಅವರು ಕೇಳದೆ, ಅವರನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದರು. BSB BSB: They rejected His statutes and the covenant He had made with their fathers, as well as the decrees He had given them. They pursued worthless idols and became worthless themselves, going after the surrounding nations that the LORD had commanded them not to imitate.
16 ULB ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮೀರಿ ಎರಡು ಎರಕದ ಬಸವನಮೂರ್ತಿಗಳು, ಅಶೇರ ವಿಗ್ರಹಸ್ತಂಭ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಆಕಾಶಸೈನ್ಯ, ಬಾಳ್ ದೇವತೆ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಿದರು. BSB BSB: They abandoned all the commandments of the LORD their God and made for themselves two cast idols of calves and an Asherah pole. They bowed down to all the host of heaven and served Baal.
17 ULB ತಮ್ಮ ಗಂಡು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಆಹುತಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಯೆಹೋವನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀಚಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಾಗಿರುವ ಕಣಿಹೇಳುವುದು, ಮಾಟ ಮಂತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದು ಮೊದಲಾದ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸಿದರು. BSB BSB: They sacrificed their sons and daughters in the fire and practiced divination and soothsaying. They devoted themselves to doing evil in the sight of the LORD, provoking Him to anger.
18 ULB ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ನಡೆದುಕೊಂಡುದರಿಂದ, ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡು, ಯೆಹೂದ ಕುಲದವರ ಹೊರತು ಎಲ್ಲ ಕುಲಗಳವರನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಿಂದ ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು. BSB BSB: So the LORD was very angry with Israel, and He removed them from His presence. Only the tribe of Judah remained,
19 ULB ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರೂ ಸಹ ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದರು. BSB BSB: and even Judah did not keep the commandments of the LORD their God, but lived according to the customs Israel had introduced.
20 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಕುಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದಿದ್ದವರನ್ನೂ ಅಲಕ್ಷ್ಯಮಾಡಿ, ತನ್ನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಿಂದ ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಸೂರೆಮಾಡುವವರಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಾಧಿಸಿದನು. BSB BSB: So the LORD rejected all the descendants of Israel. He afflicted them and delivered them into the hands of plunderers, until He had banished them from His presence.
21 ULB ಆತನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ದಾವೀದ ಸಂತಾನದವರ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಂಡ ನಂತರ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ನೆಬಾಟನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನನ್ನು ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಅವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಬೀಳಿಸಿ ಮಹಾ ಪಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಪಡಿಸಿದನು. BSB BSB: When the LORD had torn Israel away from the house of David, they made Jeroboam son of Nebat king, and Jeroboam led Israel away from following the LORD and caused them to commit a great sin.
22 ULB ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ದುರ್ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದು ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ತೊರೆದು ಬಿಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. BSB BSB: The Israelites persisted in all the sins that Jeroboam had committed and did not turn away from them.
23 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮುಖಾಂತರವಾಗಿ ಮುಂತಿಳಿಸಿದಂತೆ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಿಂದ ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಅವರು ಸೆರೆಯವರಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಅಶ್ಶೂರ್ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ. BSB BSB: Finally, the LORD removed Israel from His presence, as He had declared through all His servants the prophets. So Israel was exiled from their homeland into Assyria, where they are to this day.
24 ULB ಅಶ್ಶೂರದ ಅರಸನು ಸಮಾರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಒಯ್ದ ನಂತರ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಾಬೆಲ್, ಕೂತಾ, ಅವ್ವಾ, ಹಮಾತ್, ಸೆಫರ್ವಯಿಮ್ ಎಂಬ ಊರುಗಳವರನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಅವರು ಸಮಾರ್ಯ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅದರ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಿದರು. BSB BSB: Then the king of Assyria brought people from Babylon, Cuthah, Avva, Hamath, and Sepharvaim and settled them in the towns of Samaria to replace the Israelites. They took possession of Samaria and lived in its towns.
25 ULB ಅವರಿಗೆ ಆರಂಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ಸಿಂಹಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಅವು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದವು. BSB BSB: Now when the settlers first lived there, they did not worship the LORD, so He sent lions among them, which killed some of them.
26 ULB ಅಶ್ಶೂರದ ಅರಸನ ಸೇವಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ, <<ನೀನು ಸಮಾರ್ಯ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ ಆಯಾ ಊರುಗಳ ಜನರು ಆ ದೇಶದ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ನಡೆಯತಕ್ಕ ರೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಅರಿಯದವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರು ಸಿಂಹಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ>> ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. BSB BSB: So they spoke to the king of Assyria, saying, “The peoples that you have removed and placed in the cities of Samaria do not know the requirements of the God of the land. Because of this, He has sent lions among them, which are indeed killing them off.”
27 ULB ಆಗ ಅಶ್ಶೂರದ ಅರಸನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, <<ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಸೆರೆಯವರಾಗಿ ಬಂದಿರುವ ಯಾಜಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿರಿ. ಅವನು ಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಆ ದೇಶದ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ನಡೆಯತಕ್ಕ ರೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕಲಿಸಲಿ>> ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು. BSB BSB: Then the king of Assyria commanded: “Send back one of the priests you carried off from Samaria, and have him go back to live there and teach the requirements of the God of the land.”
28 ULB ಅವರು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಸೆರೆಯವನಾಗಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಯಾಜಕನನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು. ಇವನು ಬೇತೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಭಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸಿದನು. BSB BSB: Thus one of the priests they had carried away came and lived in Bethel, and he began to teach them how they should worship the LORD.
29 ULB ಆದರೂ ಆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳವರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವತೆಯ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ತಾವು ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಊರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದವರು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದ ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನಿಟ್ಟು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿಸಿ ಪೂಜಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. BSB BSB: Nevertheless, the people of each nation continued to make their own gods in the cities where they had settled, and they set them up in the shrines that the people of Samaria had made on the high places.
30 ULB ಬಾಬೆಲಿನವರು ಸುಕ್ಕೋತ್ಬೆನೋತ್ ನನ್ನೂ, ಕೂತದವರು ನೇರ್ಗೆಲ್ ನನ್ನೂ ಹಮಾತಿನವರು ಅಷೀಮನನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು. BSB BSB: The men of Babylon made Succoth-benoth, the men of Cuth made Nergal, the men of Hamath made Ashima,
31 ULB ಅವ್ವಿಯರು ನಿಭಜ್ ಮತ್ತು ತರ್ತಕ್ ಎಂಬ ದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಪೂಜಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಸೆಫರ್ವಯಿಮಿನವರು ಅದ್ರಮ್ಮೆಲೆಕ್, ಅನಮ್ಮೆಲೆಕ್ ಎಂಬ ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಲ ದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ಪೂಜಿಸುತ್ತಾ ತಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಬಲಿ ಅಗ್ನಿಪ್ರವೇಶ ಮಾಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. BSB BSB: the Avvites made Nibhaz and Tartak, and the Sepharvites burned their children in the fire to Adrammelech and Anammelech the gods of Sepharvaim.
32 ULB ಅವರು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಭಕ್ತರಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಬಂದವರನ್ನು ಉನ್ನತ ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಯಾಜಕರನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರ ಮುಖಾಂತರವಾಗಿ ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳದ ಗುಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆರಾಧನೆ ನಡಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. BSB BSB: So the new residents worshiped the LORD, but they also appointed for themselves priests of all sorts to serve in the shrines of the high places.
33 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನ ಭಕ್ತರಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ತಾವು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಂದ ದೇಶಗಳ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ತಮ್ಮ ಕುಲದೇವತೆಗಳ ಆರಾಧನೆಯನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. BSB BSB: They worshiped the LORD, but they also served their own gods according to the customs of the nations from which they had been carried away.
34 ULB ಅವರು ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ರೂಢಿಯಾದ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯಂತೆ ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವರಲ್ಲ. ಆತನಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರು ಹೊಂದಿದ ಯಾಕೋಬನ ಸಂತಾನದವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಆಜ್ಞಾವಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನು, ಧರ್ಮನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. BSB BSB: To this day they are still practicing their former customs. None of them worship the LORD or observe the statutes, ordinances, laws, and commandments that the LORD gave the descendants of Jacob, whom He named Israel.
35 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ, <<ನೀವು ಅನ್ಯದೇವತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡಬಾರದು, ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೈಮುಗಿಯಲೂ ಬಾರದು, ಆರಾಧಿಸಲೂಬಾರದು, ಯಜ್ಞವನ್ನರ್ಪಿಸಲೂಬಾರದು. 36 ULB ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮಹಾಶಕ್ತಿ, ಭುಜಬಲಪರಾಕ್ರಮ ಇವುಗಳ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದ ಯೆಹೋವನಾದ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ, ನನಗೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೇ ಕೈಮುಗಿದು ಯಜ್ಞವರ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕು. BSB BSB: Instead, worship the LORD, who brought you out of the land of Egypt with great power and an outstretched arm. You are to bow down to Him and offer sacrifices to Him.
37 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನಾದ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಬರೆಯಿಸಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಆಜ್ಞಾವಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಧರ್ಮನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪದೇ ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ನೀವು ಅನ್ಯ ದೇವತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಡಬಾರದು. BSB BSB: And you must always be careful to observe the statutes, ordinances, laws, and commandments He wrote for you. Do not worship other gods.
38 ULB ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾಡಿದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮರೆಯದೆ ಇರಬೇಕು. ಅನ್ಯದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಬಾರದು. BSB BSB: Do not forget the covenant I have made with you. Do not worship other gods,
39 ULB ಆದರೆ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. ಆಗ ಆತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಕೈಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕದಂತೆ ಕಾಪಾಡುವನು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: but worship the LORD your God, and He will deliver you from the hands of all your enemies.”
40 ULB ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಪದ್ಧತಿಗಳನ್ನೇ ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದರು. BSB BSB: But they would not listen, and they persisted in their former customs.
41 ULB ಆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳವರು ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನೂ ಆರಾಧಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರ ಸಂತಾನದವರು ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. BSB BSB: So these nations worshiped the LORD but also served their idols, and to this day their children and grandchildren continue to do as their fathers did.
