1 ULB ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜೀವ ವಾಗ್ದಾನವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯಪಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ದೇವರ ಚಿತ್ತಾನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತಯೇಸುವಿನ ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲನಾದ ಪೌಲನು, BSB BSB: Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, according to the promise of life in Christ Jesus,
2 ULB ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಿಯ ಕುಮಾರನಾದ ತಿಮೊಥೆಯನಿಗೆ ಬರೆಯುವುದೇನಂದರೆ, ತಂದೆಯಾದ ದೇವರಿಂದಲೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತಯೇಸುವಿನಿಂದಲೂ ನಿನಗೆ ಕೃಪೆಯೂ, ಕರುಣೆಯೂ, ಶಾಂತಿಯೂ ಆಗಲಿ. BSB BSB: To Timothy, my beloved child: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
3 ULB ನಾನು ಹಗಲಿರುಳು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪದೆ ಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನಾನು ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ಭಕ್ತಿಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನೇ ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ. ಶುದ್ಧ ಮನಸ್ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಿಂದ ಸೇವಿಸುವ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. BSB BSB: I thank God, whom I serve with a clear conscience as did my forefathers, as I constantly remember you night and day in my prayers.
4 ULB ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣೀರನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ತಂದು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಸಂತೋಷಭರಿತನಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇನೆ. BSB BSB: Recalling your tears, I long to see you so that I may be filled with joy.
5 ULB ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಾದ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯು ನನ್ನ ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿತು. ಆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯು ನಿನ್ನ ಅಜ್ಜಿಯಾದ ಲೋವಿಯಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯಾದ ಯೂನೀಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ವಾಸವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅದು ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ನಂಬಿದ್ದೇನೆ. BSB BSB: I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first dwelt in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am convinced is in you as well.
6 ULB ಆದಕಾರಣ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಸ್ತವನ್ನಿಟ್ಟದರ ಮೂಲಕ ನಿನಗೆ ದೊರಕಿದ ದೇವರ ಕೃಪಾವರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಜ್ವಲಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ. BSB BSB: For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
7 ULB ದೇವರು ನಮಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಆತ್ಮವು ಬಲ, ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ಸಂಯಮಗಳ ಆತ್ಮವೇ ಹೊರತು ಹೇಡಿತನದ ಆತ್ಮವಲ್ಲ. BSB BSB: For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
8 ULB ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಹೇಳುವ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಾಗಲಿ ಆತನ ಸೆರೆಯವನಾದ ನನ್ನ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಾಗಲಿ ನಾಚಿಕೆ ಪಡದೆ, ದೇವರ ಬಲವನ್ನು ಆಶ್ರಯಿಸಿ ನನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕಷ್ಟವನ್ನನುಭವಿಸು. BSB BSB: So do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, or of me, His prisoner. Instead, join me in suffering for the gospel by the power of God.
9 ULB ಆತನು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸುಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲ್ಲ, ತನ್ನ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ ಕೃಪೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದನು. ಆತನು ಅನಾದಿಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಕೃಪೆಯನ್ನು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮಗೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ, BSB BSB: He has saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works, but by His own purpose and by the grace He granted us in Christ Jesus before time began.
10 ULB ಈಗ ನಮ್ಮ ರಕ್ಷಕನಾದ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಅದನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಈತನು ಮರಣವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಜೀವವನ್ನೂ ಅಮರತ್ವವನ್ನೂ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ತಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆ. BSB BSB: And now He has revealed this grace through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has abolished death and illuminated the way to life and immortality through the gospel,
11 ULB ಆ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಾನು ಪ್ರಚಾರಕನಾಗಿಯೂ, ಅಪೊಸ್ತಲನಾಗಿಯೂ ಮತ್ತು ಬೋಧಕನಾಗಿಯೂ ನೇಮಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟೆನು. BSB BSB: to which I was appointed as a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher.
12 ULB ಅದರ ನಿಮಿತ್ತದಿಂದಲೇ ಈ ಕಷ್ಟಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೇನೆ. ಆದರೂ ನಾನು ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಾನು ನಂಬಿರುವಾತನನ್ನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು. ಆತನು ನನಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಆತನು ಆ ದಿನದವರೆಗೆ ಕಾಪಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಶಕ್ತನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ನಂಬಿದ್ದೇನೆ. BSB BSB: For this reason, even though I suffer as I do, I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him for that day.
13 ULB ನೀನು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯೂ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯೂ ಉಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿ, ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಕೇಳಿದ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಬೋಧನಾ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾದರಿಯಾಗಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಅನುಸರಿಸು. BSB BSB: Hold on to the pattern of sound teaching you have heard from me, with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
14 ULB ನಿನ್ನ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೋ. BSB BSB: Guard the treasure entrusted to you, with the help of the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.
15 ULB ಆಸ್ಯಸೀಮೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೈಬಿಟ್ಟರೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ನೀನು ಬಲ್ಲೆ. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಪುಗೇಲನೂ ಹೆರ್ಮೊಗೇನನೂ ಸೇರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. BSB BSB: You know that everyone in the province of Asia has deserted me, including Phygelus and Hermogenes.
16 ULB ಒನೇಸಿಪೊರನ ಮನೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಕರುಣೆಯನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಲಿ, ಅವನು ಹಲವುಬಾರಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಉಪಚರಿಸಿದನು. ನನ್ನ ಬೇಡಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನಾಚಿಕೆಪಡದೆ, BSB BSB: May the Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, because he has often refreshed me and was unashamed of my chains.
17 ULB ರೋಮಾಪುರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಕೂಡಲೆ ಬಹು ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿ ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡನು. BSB BSB: Indeed, when he arrived in Rome, he searched diligently until he found me.
18 ULB ಅವನು ಆ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನಿಂದ ಕರುಣೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವಂತೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಲಿ. ಎಫೆಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ನನಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಉಪಚಾರಮಾಡಿದನೆಂಬದು ನಿನಗೆ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಗೊತ್ತಿದೆ. BSB BSB: May the Lord grant Onesiphorus His mercy on that day. You know very well how much he ministered to me in Ephesus.
