1ಅಂತಿಯೋಕ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಸಭೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳೂ, ಬೋಧಕರೂ ಇದ್ದರು; ಅವರು ಯಾರೆಂದರೆ; ಬಾರ್ನಬ, ನೀಗರನೆಂಬ ಸಿಮೆಯೋನ, ಕುರೇನ್ಯದ ಲೂಕ್ಯ, ಹೆರೋದನ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಕಾಲುಭಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ರಾಜನಾದ ಹೆರೋದ ಅಂತಿಪನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆದ ಮೆನಹೇನ, ಸೌಲ ಇವರೇ.Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen (who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch), and Saul.

2ಇವರು ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸುತ್ತಾ, ಉಪವಾಸಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದಾಗ ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನು; <<ನಾನು ಬಾರ್ನಬ ಮತ್ತು ಸೌಲರನ್ನು ಕರೆದ ಸೇವೆಗಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬೇರ್ಪಡಿಸಿರಿ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

3ಆಗ ಅವರು ಉಪವಾಸವಿದ್ದು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿ ಆ ಇಬ್ಬರ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಸ್ತಗಳನ್ನಿಟ್ಟು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು.And after they had fasted and prayed, they laid their hands on them and sent them off.

4ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರು ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮನಿಂದ ಕಳುಹಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರಾಗಿ ಸೆಲ್ಯೂಕ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು; ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಸಮುದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣವಾಗಿ ಕುಪ್ರದ್ವೀಪಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು.So Barnabas and Saul, sent forth by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia and sailed from there to Cyprus.

5ಸಲಾಮಿಸ್ ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸಿದರು. ಮಾರ್ಕನೆನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಯೋಹಾನನು ಸಹಾಯಕನಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದನು.When they arrived at Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the Jewish synagogues. And John was with them as their helper.

6ಅವರು ದ್ವೀಪದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಚಾರಮಾಡಿ ಪಾಫೋಸ್ ಎಂಬ ಊರಿನ ತನಕ ಬಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಳ್ಳುಪ್ರವಾದಿಯೂ, ಮಂತ್ರವಾದಿಯೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದ ‘ಬಾರ್‍ಯೇಸು’ ಎಂಬ ಒಬ್ಬ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯ ಮನುಷ್ಯನನ್ನು ಕಂಡರು.They traveled through the whole island as far as Paphos, where they found a Jewish sorcerer and false prophet named Bar-Jesus,

7ಅವನು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಪಾಲನಾಗಿದ್ದ ಸೆರ್ಗ್ಯ ಪೌಲನೆಂಬ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದನು. ಆ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯು ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತನಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಬಾರ್ನಬ ಮತ್ತು ಸೌಲನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆಸಿ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆ ಪಟ್ಟನು.an attendant of the proconsul, Sergius Paulus. The proconsul, a man of intelligence, summoned Barnabas and Saul because he wanted to hear the word of God.

8ಆದರೆ ಆ ಮಂತ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಎಲುಮನು (ಎಲುಮನೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರಿಗೆ ಮಂತ್ರವಾದಿಯೆಂದರ್ಥ) ಅವರನ್ನು ವಿರೋಧಿಸಿದನು; ಅಧಿಪತಿಯು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಡದಂತೆ ಅಡ್ಡಿಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದನು.But Elymas the sorcerer (for that is what his name means) opposed them and tried to turn the proconsul from the faith.

9ಆಗ ಪೌಲನೆನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸೌಲನು ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮಭರಿತನಾಗಿ,Then Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked directly at Elymas

10ಅವನನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿನೋಡಿ; <<ಸೈತಾನನ ಮಗನೇ, ಮೋಸದಿಂದಲೂ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದಿಂದಲೂ ತುಂಬಿರುವವನೇ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನೀತಿಗೂ ವಿರೋಧಿಯೇ, ನೀನು ಕರ್ತನ ನೇರವಾದ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಡೊಂಕು ಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಬಿಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ?and said, “O child of the devil and enemy of all righteousness, you are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery! Will you never stop perverting the straight ways of the Lord?

11ಇಗೋ, ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಕೈ ಎತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ; ನೀನು ಕುರುಡನಾಗಿ ಕೆಲವು ಕಾಲ ಸೂರ್ಯನನ್ನು ನೋಡದೆ ಇರುವಿ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಆ ಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕಣ್ಣು ಮೊಬ್ಬಾಗಿ ಕತ್ತಲೆ ಕವಿಯಿತು; ಅವನು ಕೈಹಿಡಿದು ಆಧಾರ ಕೊಡುವವರನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾ ತಿರುಗಾಡಿದನು.Now look, the hand of the Lord is against you, and for a time you will be blind and unable to see the light of the sun.” Immediately mist and darkness came over him, and he groped about, seeking someone to lead him by the hand.

12ಅಧಿಪತಿಯು ಆ ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಬೋಧನೆಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಾಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟು ನಂಬುವವನಾದನು.When the proconsul saw what had happened, he believed, for he was astonished at the teaching about the Lord.

13ತರುವಾಯ ಪೌಲನೂ ಅವನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದವರೂ ಪಾಫೋಸೂರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಸಮುದ್ರಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿ ಪಂಫುಲ್ಯ ಸೀಮೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಪೆರ್ಗೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು; ಮಾರ್ಕನೆಂಬ ಯೋಹಾನನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹೋದನು.After setting sail from Paphos, Paul and his companions came to Perga in Pamphylia, where John left them to return to Jerusalem.

14ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರು ಪೆರ್ಗೆಯಿಂದ ಸಂಚಾರಮಾಡಿ ಪಿಸಿದ್ಯ ಸೀಮೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಅಂತಿಯೋಕ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರು. ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದೊಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಂಡರು.And from Perga, they traveled inland to Pisidian Antioch, where they entered the synagogue on the Sabbath and sat down.

15ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಗ್ರಂಥ ಇವುಗಳ ಪಾರಾಯಣವಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರದ ನಾಯಕರು; <<ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ಜನರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳತಕ್ಕ ಬುದ್ಧಿಮಾತೇನಾದರೂ ನಿಮಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಹೇಳಿರಿ>> ಎಂದು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು.After the reading from the Law and the Prophets, the synagogue leaders sent word to them: “Brothers, if you have a word of encouragement for the people, please speak.”

16ಆಗ ಪೌಲನು ಎದ್ದು ಕೈಸನ್ನೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ;Paul stood up, motioned with his hand, and began to speak: “Men of Israel and you Gentiles who fear God, listen to me!

17<<ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಜನರೇ, ಮತ್ತು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯ ಮತಾವಲಂಬಿಗಳೇ, ಕೇಳಿರಿ. ನಮ್ಮ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಜನರ ದೇವರು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಬಲರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ, ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ತಂದು ತನ್ನ ಭುಜಬಲದಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಬರಮಾಡಿದನು.The God of the people of Israel chose our fathers. He made them into a great people during their stay in Egypt, and with an uplifted arm He led them out of that land.

18ಆತನು ಸುಮಾರು ನಲವತ್ತು ವರುಷಗಳವರೆಗೂ ಅಡವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ನಡವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸಹಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು,He endured their conduct for about forty years in the wilderness.

19ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಅನ್ಯಜನಗಳ ಏಳು ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲಮಾಡಿ, ಆ ಜನರ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ಥ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು.And having vanquished seven nations in Canaan, He gave their land to His people as an inheritance.

20ಇಷ್ಟರೊಳಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು ನಾನೂರೈವತ್ತು ವರುಷಗಳು ಗತಿಸಿದವು. ಇದಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಾದ ಸಮುವೇಲನ ಕಾಲದ ವರೆಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.All this took about 450 years. After this, God gave them judges until the time of Samuel the prophet.

21ತರುವಾಯ ಅವರು ತಮಗೆ ಅರಸನು ಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು, ದೇವರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನನ ಕುಲದ ಕೀಷನ ಮಗನಾದ ಸೌಲನನ್ನು ರಾಜನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಅವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಲವತ್ತು ವರುಷ ಆಳಿದನು.Then the people asked for a king, and God gave them Saul son of Kish, from the tribe of Benjamin, who ruled forty years.

22ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ದೇವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿ ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಕಮಾಡಿ; <ಇಷಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ನನಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದನು, ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು, ಅವನು ನನ್ನ ಇಷ್ಟಾರ್ಥವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವನು> ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಅವನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಹೇಳಿದನು.After removing Saul, He raised up David as their king and testified about him: ‘I have found David son of Jesse a man after My own heart; he will carry out My will in its entirety.’

23<<ಅವನ ಸಂತಾನದಿಂದ ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ವಾಗ್ದಾನದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಒಬ್ಬ ರಕ್ಷಕನನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ.From the descendants of this man, God has brought to Israel the Savior Jesus, as He promised.

24ಆ ರಕ್ಷಕನೇ ಯೇಸು, ಆತನ ಆಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲು ಯೋಹಾನನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ, ನೀವು ದೇವರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಪಶ್ಚಾತ್ತಾಪದ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಸಾರಿದನು.Before the arrival of Jesus, John preached a baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel.

25ಯೋಹಾನನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಜನರಿಗೆ; <ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಯಾರೆಂದು ಯೋಚಿಸುತ್ತೀರಿ? ನಾನು ಆತನಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ನನ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಬರುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಆತನ ಪಾದರಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಯೋಗ್ಯನಲ್ಲ> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.As John was completing his course, he said, ‘Who do you suppose I am? I am not that One. But there is One coming after me whose sandals I am not worthy to untie.’

26<<ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ವಂಶಸ್ಥರೇ, ಮತ್ತು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗಿರುವ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯಮತಾವಲಂಬಿಗಳೇ, ನಮಗೆ ಈ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಕಳುಹಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದೆ.Brothers, children of Abraham, and you Gentiles who fear God, it is to us that this message of salvation has been sent.

27ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವವರೂ, ಅವರ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳೂ, ಆತನನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಪ್ರತಿ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾರಾಯಣವಾಗುವ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಗ್ರಹಿಸದೆ, ಆತನನ್ನು ಅಪರಾಧಿಯೆಂದು ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡಿ ಆ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೇ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದರು.The people of Jerusalem and their rulers did not recognize Jesus, yet in condemning Him they fulfilled the words of the prophets that are read every Sabbath.

28ಮರಣದಂಡನೆಗೆ ಕಾರಣವೇನೂ ತಮಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕದಿದ್ದರೂ, ಆತನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಪಿಲಾತನನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರು.And though they found no ground for a death sentence, they asked Pilate to have Him executed.

29ಆತನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವುದೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದ ಮೇಲೆ, ಆತನನ್ನು ಮರದ ಕಂಬದಿಂದ ಇಳಿಸಿ ಸಮಾಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟರು.When they had carried out all that was written about Him, they took Him down from the tree and laid Him in a tomb.

30<<ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಸತ್ತವರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದನು.But God raised Him from the dead,

31ಮತ್ತು ಆತನು ಗಲಿಲಾಯದಿಂದ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ತನ್ನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದವರಿಗೆ ಅನೇಕ ದಿನಗಳವರೆಗೂ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು; ಈಗ ಅವರು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಆತನ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.and for many days He was seen by those who had accompanied Him from Galilee to Jerusalem. They are now His witnesses to our people.

32<<ದೇವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ವಾಗ್ದಾನವನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆಂಬ ಶುಭಸಮಾಚಾರವನ್ನು ನಾವು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಾರುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಆತನು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಮರಣದಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ್ದರಲ್ಲಿ;And now we proclaim to you the good news: What God promised our fathers

33<ನನಗೆ ನೀನು ಮಗನು, ನಾನೇ ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದೇನೆ> ಎಂದು ಎರಡನೆಯ ಕೀರ್ತನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಮಾತು ನೆರವೇರಿತು.He has fulfilled for us, their children, by raising up Jesus. As it is written in the second Psalm: ‘You are My Son; today I have become Your Father.’

34<<ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದೇವರು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಸತ್ತವರೊಳಗಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆತನು ಇನ್ನೆಂದಿಗೂ ಕೊಳೆಯುವ ಅವಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಸೇರತಕ್ಕವನಲ್ಲವೆಂಬುದರ ಕುರಿತು ದೇವರು ಹೇಳಿರುವುದು ಏನೆಂದರೆ; <ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಮಾಡಿದ ಕೃಪಾವರಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೂ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಅವು ನಂಬತಕ್ಕವುಗಳೇ> ಎಂಬುದೆ.In fact, God raised Him from the dead, never to see decay. As He has said: ‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings promised to David.’

35ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಆತನು; <ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಿಯನಿಗೆ ಕೊಳೆಯುವ ಅವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಗೊಡಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು> ಬೇರೊಂದು ಕೀರ್ತನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ.So also, He says in another Psalm: ‘You will not let Your Holy One see decay.’

36<<ದಾವೀದನಾದರೋ ತನ್ನ ಜೀವಮಾನ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇವರ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪಕ್ಕನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆಮಾಡಿದನಂತರ, ಸತ್ತಾಗ ತನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ವಜರ ಬಳಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಮಾಧಿಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು, ಅವನ ದೇಹವು ಕೊಳೆಯುವ ಅವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿತು.For when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep. His body was buried with his fathers and saw decay.

37ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ಮರಣದಿಂದ ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ ಯೇಸುವು ಕೊಳೆಯುವ ಅವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.But the One whom God raised from the dead did not see decay.

38<<ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ಆತನ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪ ಕ್ಷಮಾಪಣೆಯು ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತದೆಂಬುದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಾರೋಣವಾಗಿತ್ತೆಂದು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿದಿರಲಿ.Therefore let it be known to you, brothers, that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.

39ಮೋಶೆಯ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ಮೂಲಕ ನೀವು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗಿ ನೀತಿವಂತರೆನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಇದ್ದಿರಿ. ಆದರೆ ಆತನನ್ನು ನಂಬುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಆತನ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಹೊಂದಿ ನೀತಿವಂತರೆನಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ.Through Him everyone who believes is justified from everything from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

40ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿರುವುದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸದಂತೆ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಆದೇನಂದರೆ;Watch out, then, that what was spoken by the prophets does not happen to you:

41<< <ಎಲೈ, ತಿರಸ್ಕಾರ ಮಾಡುವವರೇ, ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಡಿರಿ, ನಾಶವಾಗಿಹೋಗಿರಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಒಂದು ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವೆನು; ಆ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಒಬ್ಬನು ನಿಮಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರೂ ನೀವು ಅದನ್ನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವೂ ನಂಬುವುದಿಲ್ಲ>>> ಎಂಬುದೇ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.‘Look, you scoffers, wonder and perish! For I am doing a work in your days that you would never believe, even if someone told you.’”

42ಪೌಲನೂ, ಬಾರ್ನಬನೂ ಸಭಾಮಂದಿರವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಜನರು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಬರುವ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತಮಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರು.As Paul and Barnabas were leaving the synagogue, the people urged them to continue this message on the next Sabbath.

43ಸಭೆಯು ಮುಗಿದ ತರುವಾಯ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ, ದೈವಭಕ್ತರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯ ಮತಾವಲಂಬಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅನೇಕರು ಪೌಲ ಮತ್ತು ಬಾರ್ನಬನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದರು. ಇವರು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ದೇವರ ಕೃಪಾಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿರಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಪಡಿಸಿದರು.After the synagogue was dismissed, many of the Jews and devout converts to Judaism followed Paul and Barnabas, who spoke to them and urged them to continue in the grace of God.

44ಮುಂದಿನ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚುಕಡಿಮೆ ಇಡೀ ಊರಿನವರು ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿಬಂದರು.On the following Sabbath, nearly the whole city gathered to hear the word of the Lord.

45ಆದರೆ ಜನರು ಗುಂಪುಗುಂಪಾಗಿ ಬರುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ಮತ್ಸರವುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ ಪೌಲನು ಹೇಳಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ದೂಷಣೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದರು.But when the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy, and they blasphemously contradicted what Paul was saying.

46ಆಗ ಪೌಲನೂ, ಬಾರ್ನಬನೂ ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ; ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮೊದಲು ನಿಮಗೇ ಹೇಳುವುದು ಅಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು; ಆದರೆ ನೀವು ಅದನ್ನು ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವಕ್ಕೆ ಅಪಾತ್ರರೆಂದು ತೀರ್ಪು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇಗೋ, ನಾವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅನ್ಯಜನರ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇವೆ.Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: “It was necessary to speak the word of God to you first. But since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles.

47ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಕರ್ತನು ನಮಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಹೇಗಂದರೆ; ನೀನು ಲೋಕದ ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಯ ವರೆಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಕನಾಗಿರುವಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗೂ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ದೇವರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಎಂದರು.For this is what the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”

48ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಅನ್ಯಜನರು ಆ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಸಂತೋಷಪಟ್ಟು, ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಗಳಿದರು. ಮತ್ತು ನಿತ್ಯಜೀವಕ್ಕೆ ನೇಮಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಂಬಿದರು.When the Gentiles heard this, they rejoiced and glorified the word of the Lord, and all who were appointed for eternal life believed.

49ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಆ ಸೀಮೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಬ್ಬುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿತು.And the word of the Lord spread throughout that region.

50ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮತಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದ್ದ ಭಕ್ತೆಯರಾದ ಕುಲೀನ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರನ್ನೂ, ಊರಿನ ಪ್ರಮುಖರನ್ನೂ, ಹುರಿದುಂಬಿಸಿ ಪೌಲ ಮತ್ತು ಬಾರ್ನಬರ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಹಿಂಸೆಯನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಿಂದ ಆಚೆಗೆ ಅಟ್ಟಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.The Jews, however, incited the religious women of prominence and the leading men of the city. They stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas and drove them out of their district.

51ಪೌಲ ಬಾರ್ನಬರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕಾಲಿಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಧೂಳನ್ನು ಝಾಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ಇಕೋನ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು.So they shook the dust off their feet in protest against them and went to Iconium.

52ಶಿಷ್ಯರಾದವರು ಸಂತೋಷಭರಿತರೂ, ಪವಿತ್ರಾತ್ಮಭರಿತರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದರು.And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.
