1 ULB ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇದನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದನು. ಹಿಂಗಾರು ಮಳೆಬಿದ್ದು ಪೈರು ಸೊಂಪಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಆರಂಭವಾದಾಗ ಅಂದರೆ ರಾಜಾದಾಯದ ಹುಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಕೊಯ್ದ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಳೆಯು ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮಿಡತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿದನು. BSB BSB: This is what the Lord GOD showed me: He was preparing swarms of locusts just after the king’s harvest, as the late spring crop was coming up.
2 ULB ಅವು ದೇಶದ ಹುಲ್ಲನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಿಂದುಬಿಟ್ಟ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾನು, <<ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ಲಾಲಿಸು, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸು. ಯಾಕೋಬ ಜನಾಂಗವು ಹೇಗೆ ಉಳಿಯುವುದು? ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅದು ಚಿಕ್ಕದಾದ ಜನಾಂಗ>> ಎಂದು ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆನು. BSB BSB: And when the locusts had eaten every green plant in the land, I said, “Lord GOD, please forgive! How will Jacob survive, since he is so small?”
3 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮನಮರುಗಿ, <<ಈ ದರ್ಶನವು ನೆರವೇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ>> ಎಂದನು. BSB BSB: So the LORD relented from this plan. “It will not happen,” He said.
4 ULB ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದನು. ಇಗೋ, ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ತನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನು ದಂಡಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅಗ್ನಿಯನ್ನು ಕರೆದನು. ಅದು ಮಹಾ ಸಾಗರವನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿ ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ ತಿಂದುಬಿಟ್ಟಿತು. BSB BSB: This is what the Lord GOD showed me: The Lord GOD was calling for judgment by fire. It consumed the great deep and devoured the land.
5 ULB ಆಗ ನಾನು, <<ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ಲಾಲಿಸು. ಇದನ್ನು ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿಬಿಡು. ಯಾಕೋಬ ಜನಾಂಗ ಹೇಗೆ ಉಳಿಯುವುದು? ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅದು ಚಿಕ್ಕದಾದ ಜನಾಂಗವಾಗಿದೆ>> ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಲು BSB BSB: Then I said, “Lord GOD, please stop! How will Jacob survive, since he is so small?”
6 ULB ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮನಮರುಗಿ, <<ಈ ದರ್ಶನವು ನೆರವೇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ>> ಎಂದನು. BSB BSB: So the LORD relented from this plan. “It will not happen either,” said the Lord GOD.
7 ULB ಕರ್ತನು ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿದನು. ಇಗೋ, ಯೆಹೋವನು ನೂಲುಮಟ್ಟದ ನೆಟ್ಟಗಿರುವ ಗೋಡೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದನು. ಆತನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೂಲುಗುಂಡಿತ್ತು. BSB BSB: This is what He showed me: Behold, the Lord was standing by a wall true to plumb, with a plumb line in His hand.
8 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನಗೆ, <<ಆಮೋಸನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಿಸುವುದೇನು?>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ನಾನು, <<ಒಂದು ನೂಲುಗುಂಡು>> ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರ ಕೊಟ್ಟೆನು. ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು, <<ಇಗೋ, ನನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೂಲುಗುಂಡನ್ನು ಇಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಇನ್ನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕಾಣದಂತೆ ದಂಡಿಸುವೆನು. BSB BSB: “Amos, what do you see?” asked the LORD. “A plumb line,” I replied. “Behold,” said the Lord, “I am setting a plumb line among My people Israel; I will no longer spare them:
9 ULB ಇಸಾಕನ ವಂಶದವರ ಪೂಜಾಸ್ಥಳಗಳು ಹಾಳಾಗುವವು, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಪವಿತ್ರಾಲಯಗಳು ಪಾಳುಬೀಳುವವು, ಮತ್ತು ನಾನು ಕತ್ತಿ ಹಿಡಿದು ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಮನೆತನಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಏಳುವೆನು>> ಅಂದನು. BSB BSB: The high places of Isaac will be deserted, and the sanctuaries of Israel will be laid waste; and I will rise up against the house of Jeroboam with My sword.”
10 ULB ಆಗ ಬೇತೇಲಿನ ಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಅಮಚ್ಯನು, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನಿಗೆ, <<ಆಮೋಸನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಳಸಂಚು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ದೇಶವು ಅವನ ವಿಪರೀತವಾದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ತಾಳಲಾರದು>> ಅಂದನು. BSB BSB: Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent word to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, “Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel. The land cannot bear all his words,
11 ULB ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆಮೋಸನು, <<ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಹತನಾಗುವನು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಸ್ವದೇಶದಿಂದ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಡುವರು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. BSB BSB: for this is what Amos has said: ‘Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel will surely go into exile, away from their homeland.’”
12 ULB ಅನಂತರ ಅಮಚ್ಯನು ಆಮೋಸನಿಗೆ, <<ಕಣಿ ಹೇಳುವವನೇ, ಯೆಹೂದ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡಿಹೋಗು. ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ರೊಟ್ಟಿತಿಂದು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸು. BSB BSB: And Amaziah said to Amos, “Go away, you seer! Flee to the land of Judah; earn your bread there and do your prophesying there.
13 ULB ಆದರೆ ಬೇತೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನು ಪ್ರವಾದನೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಡ. ಇದು ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಪವಿತ್ರಾಲಯ, ಇದು ಅರಮನೆ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: But never prophesy at Bethel again, because it is the sanctuary of the king and the temple of the kingdom.”
14 ULB ಆಮೋಸನು ಅಮಚ್ಯನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ, <<ನಾನು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯಲ್ಲ, ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯ ಮಗನೂ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಕುರುಬನು, ಅತ್ತಿಹಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸುವವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ. BSB BSB: “I was not a prophet,” Amos replied, “nor was I the son of a prophet; rather, I was a herdsman and a tender of sycamore-fig trees.
15 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮಂದೆ ಕಾಯುವವರಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ, <ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಜನರಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆ ಮಾಡು> ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. BSB BSB: But the LORD took me from following the flock and said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to My people Israel.’
16 ULB <<ಈಗ ಯೆಹೋವನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೇಳು <ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರವಾದನೆಮಾಡಬೇಡ. ಇಸಾಕನ ವಂಶಕ್ಕೆ ಖಂಡನೆಯಾಗಿ ಬಾಯಿ ಎತ್ತಬೇಡ> ಎಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಕಾರಣ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, BSB BSB: Now, therefore, hear the word of the LORD. You say: ‘Do not prophesy against Israel; do not preach against the house of Isaac.’
17 ULB <ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯು ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೂಳೆಯಾಗುವಳು; ನಿನ್ನ ಗಂಡು ಮತ್ತು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಹತರಾಗುವರು; ನಿನ್ನ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಶತ್ರುಗಳು ನೂಲಿನಿಂದ ವಿಭಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು; ನೀನಂತೂ ಅಜ್ಞಾತವಾದ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಯುವಿ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಸ್ವದೇಶದಿಂದ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಡುವುದು ಖಂಡಿತ>>> ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: Therefore this is what the LORD says: ‘Your wife will become a prostitute in the city, and your sons and daughters will fall by the sword. Your land will be divided by a measuring line, and you yourself will die on pagan soil. And Israel will surely go into exile, away from their homeland.’”
