BSB BSB: Now then, I will tell you the truth: Three more kings will arise in Persia, and then a fourth, who will be far richer than all the others. By the power of his wealth, he will stir up everyone against the kingdom of Greece.

BSB BSB: After some years they will form an alliance, and the daughter of the king of the South will go to the king of the North to seal the agreement. BSB BSB: In those times many will rise up against the king of the South. Violent ones among your own people will exalt themselves in fulfillment of the vision, but they will fail.

BSB BSB: Then the king of the North will come, build up a siege ramp, and capture a fortified city. The forces of the South will not stand; even their best troops will not be able to resist.
16 ULB ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಬರುವವನು ತನ್ನ ಇಚ್ಛಾನುಸಾರ ನಡೆಯುವನು. ಅವನನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುವವರು ಯಾರು ಇಲ್ಲ, ನಾಶವನ್ನು ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಅಂದ ಚಂದದ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿರುವನು. BSB BSB: The invader will do as he pleases, and no one will stand against him. He will establish himself in the Beautiful Land, with destruction in his hand.
17 ULB ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಬಲ ಸಮೇತನಾಗಿ ಹೊರಟು, ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು. ಅವನ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಹಾನಿಗಾಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವನು. ಆದರೆ ಆ ಉಪಾಯವೂ ನಿಲ್ಲದು, ತನಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. He will give him a daughter in marriage in order to overthrow the kingdom, but his plan will not succeed or help him.

23 ULB ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡವನಿಗೆ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಮೋಸ ಮಾಡುವನು; ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಜನರ ಸಹಾಯದಿಂದ ಏಳಿಗೆಯಾಗಿ ಬಲಗೊಳ್ಳುವನು. BSB BSB: After an alliance is made with him, he will act deceitfully; for he will rise to power with only a few people.

25 ULB ಅವನು ದೊಡ್ಡ ದಂಡೆತ್ತಿ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಬಲವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಹೊರಡುವನು. ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನು ಅತ್ಯಧಿಕ ಬಲವುಳ್ಳ ಮಹಾ ಸೈನ್ಯಸಮೇತನಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಡುವನು. ಆದರೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಲಾರನು, ಅವನು ಸೋಲುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಕುಯುಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವನು. BSB BSB: And with a large army he will stir up his power and his courage against the king of the South, who will mobilize a very large and powerful army but will not withstand the plots devised against him.
26 ULB ಅವನ ಮೃಷ್ಟಾನ್ನವನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನುವವರೇ ಅವನನ್ನು ಭಂಗಪಡಿಸುವರು; ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ತುಂಬಿ ತುಳುಕುವುದು. ಬಹಳ ಜನರು ಹತರಾಗಿ ಬೀಳುವರು. BSB BSB: Those who eat from his provisions will seek to destroy him; his army will be swept away, and many will fall slain.
27 ULB ಆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ರಾಜರು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಕೇಡಿನ ಮನಸುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ ಸಹ ಪಂಕ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಳ್ಳುಸುಳ್ಳು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು. ಆದರೆ ಏನೂ ಸಾಗದು, ಪರಿಣಾಮವು ನಿಶ್ಚಿತ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲೇ ತಲೆದೋರುವುದು. BSB BSB: And the two kings, with their hearts bent on evil, will speak lies at the same table, but to no avail, for still the end will come at the appointed time.
28 ULB ಅನಂತರ ಉತ್ತರ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ರಾಜನು ಬಹಳ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಹೊಡೆದು ಸ್ವದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುವನು. ಅವನ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧ ನಿಬಂಧನೆಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವುದು. ಅವನು ತನಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟ ಬಂದಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಸ್ವದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸೇರುವನು. BSB BSB: The king of the North will return to his land with great wealth, but his heart will be set against the holy covenant; so he will do damage and return to his own land.
29 ULB ನಿಶ್ಚಿತ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಪುನಃ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದಿಕ್ಕಿನ ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ನುಗ್ಗುವನು. ಆದರೆ ಮೊದಲು ಆದಂತೆಯೇ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಸಲ ಆಗದು. BSB BSB: At the appointed time he will invade the South again, but this time will not be like the first.

BSB BSB: Ships of Kittim will come against him, and he will lose heart. Then he will turn back and rage against the holy covenant and do damage. So he will return and show favor to those who forsake the holy covenant.
32 ULB ನಿಬಂಧನ ದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳು ಅವನ ನಯನುಡಿಗಳಿಂದ ಕೆಟ್ಟುಹೋಗುವರು. ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಅರಿತವರೋ ದೃಢಚಿತ್ತರಾಗಿ ಕೃತಾರ್ಥರಾಗುವರು. BSB BSB: With flattery he will corrupt those who violate the covenant, but the people who know their God will firmly resist him.
33 ULB ಜನರಲ್ಲಿನ ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ಅನೇಕರಿಗೆ ವಿವೇಕ ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿ, ಅವರು ಬಹಳ ದಿನ ಕತ್ತಿ, ಬೆಂಕಿ, ಸೆರೆಸೂರೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿ ಬೀಳುವರು. BSB BSB: Those with insight will instruct many, though for a time they will fall by sword or flame, or be captured or plundered.

35 ULB ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕೆಲವರು ಅಂತ್ಯಕಾಲದವರೆಗೆ ಬೀಳುತ್ತಿರುವರು. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಜನರು ಶೋಧಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು, ಶುದ್ಧಿಹೊಂದಿ ಶುಭ್ರರಾಗುವರು. ಅಂತ್ಯವು ನಿಶ್ಚಿತಕಾಲದಲ್ಲೇ ಆಗುವುದು. 36 ULB <<ರಾಜನು ತನ್ನ ಇಚ್ಛಾನುಸಾರ ನಡೆದು ತಾನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೇವರುಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡವನೆಂದು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಗರ್ವದಿಂದ ಉಬ್ಬಿ, ದೇವಾಧಿ ದೇವನನ್ನು ಮಿತಿಮೀರಿ ದೂಷಿಸಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲಿನ ದೈವ ಕೋಪವು ತೀರುವ ತನಕ ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿರುವನು. ದೈವಸಂಕಲ್ಪವು ನೆರವೇರಲೇ ಬೇಕು. BSB BSB: Then the king will do as he pleases and will exalt and magnify himself above every god, and he will speak monstrous things against the God of gods. He will be successful until the time of wrath is completed, for what has been decreed must be accomplished.
37 ULB ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ದೇವರುಗಳನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಮೋಹಿಸುವ ದೇವರನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಯಾವ ದೇವರನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ದೇವರುಗಳಿಗಿಂತ ತನ್ನನ್ನೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು. BSB BSB: He will show no regard for the gods of his fathers, nor for the one desired by women, nor for any other god, because he will magnify himself above them all.
38 ULB ಕುಲದೇವರಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ದುರ್ಗಾಭಿಮಾನಿ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಘನಪಡಿಸುವನು; ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯದ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಬಂಗಾರದಿಂದಲೂ, ರತ್ನಗಳಿಂದಲೂ, ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ವಸ್ತುಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಸೇವಿಸುವನು. BSB BSB: And in their place, he will honor a god of fortresses—a god his fathers did not know—with gold, silver, precious stones, and riches.

BSB BSB: He will attack the strongest fortresses with the help of a foreign god and will greatly honor those who acknowledge him, making them rulers over many and distributing the land for a price.
41 ULB ಅಂದ ಚಂದದ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೂ ನುಗ್ಗುವನು. ಅನೇಕ ಸೀಮೆಗಳು ಅವನಿಂದ ಹಾಳಾಗುವವು. ಆದರೆ ಎದೋಮ್ಯರು, ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯರು, ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿನ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಭಾಗದವರು, ಅವನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು. BSB BSB: He will also invade the Beautiful Land, and many countries will fall. But these will be delivered from his hand: Edom, Moab, and the leaders of the Ammonites.

43 ULB ಅವನು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಬಂಗಾರಗಳ ನಿಧಿನಿಕ್ಷೇಪಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಐಗುಪ್ತದ ಒಳ್ಳೊಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸಮಸ್ತ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನೂ ವಶಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು. ಲೂಬ್ಯರೂ, ಕೂಷ್ಯರೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿ ಹೋಗುವರು. BSB BSB: He will gain control of the treasures of gold and silver and over all the riches of Egypt, and the Libyans and Cushites will also submit to him.
