2 ULB <<ತಂದೆಗಳು ಹುಳಿ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನು ತಿಂದರು ಆದರೆ, ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಹಲ್ಲುಗಳು ಚಳಿತುಹೋಗಿವೆ ಎಂಬ ಗಾದೆಯನ್ನು ನೀವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ದೇಶದ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುವುದೇಕೆ?>> BSB BSB: “What do you people mean by quoting this proverb about the land of Israel: ‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the teeth of the children are set on edge’?
3 ULB ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, <<ನನ್ನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ನೀವು ಈ ಗಾದೆಯನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಬೇಕಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. BSB BSB: As surely as I live, declares the Lord GOD, you will no longer quote this proverb in Israel.
4 ULB ಇಗೋ, ಸಕಲ ನರಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳು ನನ್ನವೇ; ತಂದೆಯೇನು, ಮಗನೇನು, ನರಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ನನ್ನ ಅಧೀನದಲ್ಲಿವೆ; ಪಾಪಮಾಡುವ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಯೇ ಸಾಯುವನು. BSB BSB: Behold, every soul belongs to Me; both father and son are Mine. The soul who sins is the one who will die.
5 ULB <<ಒಬ್ಬನು ಸದ್ಧರ್ಮಿಯಾಗಿ ನೀತಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿ, BSB BSB: Now suppose a man is righteous and does what is just and right:
6 ULB ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಜ್ಞಶೇಷವನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನದೆ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ವಂಶದವರ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕಣ್ಣೆತ್ತದೆ, ನೆರೆಯವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೆಡಿಸದೆ, BSB BSB: He does not eat at the mountain or look to the idols of the house of Israel. He does not defile his neighbor’s wife or approach a woman during her period.
7 ULB ಮುಟ್ಟಿನ ಹೆಂಗಸನ್ನು ಸೇರದೆ, ಯಾರನ್ನೂ ಹಿಂಸಿಸದೆ, ಸಾಲಮಾಡಿದವನ ಒತ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿಹಿಡಿಯದೆ, ಯಾರ ಸೊತ್ತನ್ನೂ ಅಪಹರಿಸದೆ, ಹಸಿದವನಿಗೆ ಅನ್ನಕೊಟ್ಟು, ಬೆತ್ತಲೆಯಿರುವವನಿಗೆ ಹೊದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊದಿಸಿ, BSB BSB: He does not oppress another, but restores the pledge to the debtor. He does not commit robbery, but gives his bread to the hungry and covers the naked with clothing.
8 ULB ಸಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬಡ್ಡಿತೆಗೆಯದೆ, ಲಾಭಕ್ಕೆ ಹಣಕೊಡದೆ, ಅನ್ಯಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕೈಹಾಕದೆ, ವಾದಿ ಪ್ರತಿವಾದಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ನ್ಯಾಯತೀರಿಸಿ, BSB BSB: He does not engage in usury or take excess interest, but he withholds his hand from iniquity and executes true justice between men.
9 ULB ನನ್ನ ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ವಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು, ಸತ್ಯಪರನಾಗಿಯೇ ನಡೆದರೆ ಇಂಥವನು ಸದ್ಧರ್ಮಿಯಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಜೀವಿಸುವನು>> ಇದು ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ನುಡಿ. BSB BSB: He follows My statutes and faithfully keeps My ordinances. That man is righteous; surely he will live, declares the Lord GOD.
10 ULB <<ಇಂಥವನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದ ಮಗನು, ಈಗ ಹೇಳಿದ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದನ್ನಾದರೂ ನಡೆಸಿ, BSB BSB: Now suppose that man has a violent son, who sheds blood or does any of these things,
11 ULB ಒಳ್ಳೆಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದನ್ನೂ ನಡೆಸದೆ ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಜ್ಞಶೇಷವನ್ನು ತಿಂದು ನೆರೆಯವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೆಡಿಸಿ, BSB BSB: though the father has done none of them: Indeed, the son eats at the mountain and defiles his neighbor’s wife.
12 ULB ದೀನದರಿದ್ರರನ್ನು ಹಿಂಸಿಸಿ, ಜನರ ಸೊತ್ತನ್ನು ಅಪಹರಿಸಿ, ಸಾಲಗಾರನ ಒತ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿಹಿಡಿದು, ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕಣ್ಣೆತ್ತಿ, BSB BSB: He oppresses the poor and needy; he commits robbery and does not restore a pledge. He lifts his eyes to idols; he commits abominations.
13 ULB ಅಸಹ್ಯಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ, ಸಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬಡ್ಡಿತೆಗೆದು, ಲಾಭಕ್ಕೆ ಹಣಕೊಟ್ಟು, ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರಿಯೂ ಮತ್ತು ರಕ್ತಸುರಿಸುವವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಜೀವಿಸುವನೇ? ಖಂಡಿತ ಜೀವಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಈ ದುರಾಚಾರಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಡೆಸಿದನಲ್ಲವೇ? ಅವನು ಸಾಯುವುದು ಖಂಡಿತ; ತನ್ನ ಮರಣ ದಂಡನೆಗೆ ತಾನೇ ಕಾರಣ. BSB BSB: He engages in usury and takes excess interest. Will this son live? He will not! Since he has committed all these abominations, he will surely die; his blood will be on his own head.
14 ULB <<ಇಗೋ, ಇವನು ಪಡೆದ ಮಗನು, ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ಮಾಡಿದ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕಂಡು ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ಇಂಥಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸದೆ, BSB BSB: Now suppose this son has a son who sees all the sins his father has committed, considers them, and does not do likewise:
15 ULB <<ಗುಡ್ಡಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಜ್ಞಶೇಷವನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನದೆ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ವಂಶದವರ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕಣ್ಣೆತ್ತದೆ, ನೆರೆಯವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಕೆಡಿಸದೆ, BSB BSB: He does not eat at the mountain or look to the idols of the house of Israel. He does not defile his neighbor’s wife.
16 ULB ಯಾರನ್ನೂ ಹಿಂಸಿಸದೆ, ಒತ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳದೆ, ಯಾರ ಸೊತ್ತನ್ನೂ ಅಪಹರಿಸದೆ, ಹಸಿದವನಿಗೆ ಅನ್ನಕೊಟ್ಟು, ಬೆತ್ತಲೆಯಿರುವವನಿಗೆ ಹೊದಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊದಿಸಿ, BSB BSB: He does not oppress another, or retain a pledge, or commit robbery. He gives his bread to the hungry and covers the naked with clothing.
17 ULB ಬಡವನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈಮಾಡದೆ, ಬಡ್ಡಿಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳದೆ, ಲಾಭಕ್ಕೆ ಹಣಕೊಡದೆ, ನನ್ನ ವಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದರೆ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಅಧರ್ಮದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಸಾಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಜೀವಿಸುವನು. BSB BSB: He withholds his hand from harming the poor and takes no interest or usury. He keeps My ordinances and follows My statutes. Such a man will not die for his father’s iniquity. He will surely live.
18 ULB ಇವನ ತಂದೆಯೋ, ಸ್ವಕುಲದವರನ್ನು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಅರೆದು, ಸುಲಿದು, ಸ್ವಜನರ ನಡುವೆ ಕೆಟ್ಟದನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದ ಕಾರಣ, ಇಗೋ, ತನ್ನ ಅಧರ್ಮದಿಂದಲೇ ಸಾಯುವನು. BSB BSB: As for his father, he will die for his own iniquity, because he practiced extortion, robbed his brother, and did what was wrong among his people.
19 ULB <<ಆದರೆ ನೀವು, <ತಂದೆಯ ದೋಷಫಲವನ್ನು ಮಗನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವುದು ಖಂಡಿತ> ಎಂದು ಆಕ್ಷೇಪಿಸುವಿರೋ? ಮಗನು ನೀತಿನ್ಯಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ವಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೈಕೊಂಡು ಆಚರಿಸಿದರೆ ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಜೀವಿಸುವನು. BSB BSB: Yet you may ask, ‘Why shouldn’t the son bear the iniquity of his father?’ Since the son has done what is just and right, carefully observing all My statutes, he will surely live.
21 ULB <<ಆದರೆ ದುಷ್ಟನು ತಾನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟು, ನನ್ನ ಸಕಲ ವಿಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡು, ನೀತಿನ್ಯಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರೆ ಸಾಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಜೀವಿಸುವನು. BSB BSB: But if the wicked man turns from all the sins he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is just and right, he will surely live; he will not die.
22 ULB ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಯಾವ ಅಪರಾಧವು ಅವನ ಲೆಕ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅವನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸದ್ಧರ್ಮದಿಂದಲೇ ಅವನು ಜೀವಿಸುವನು.>> BSB BSB: None of the transgressions he has committed will be held against him. Because of the righteousness he has practiced, he will live.
23 ULB ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, <<ದುಷ್ಟನ ಸಾವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವಾದರೂ ಸಂತೋಷವಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ದುರ್ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಾಳುವುದೇ ನನಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷ. BSB BSB: Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Lord GOD. Wouldn’t I prefer that he turn from his ways and live?
24 ULB ಆದರೆ ಶಿಷ್ಟನು ತನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಟತನವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಅಧರ್ಮಮಾಡಿ, ದುಷ್ಟನು ನಡೆಸುವ ದುರಾಚಾರಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಡೆಸಿದರೆ ಅವನು ಜೀವಿಸುವನೋ? ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಯಾವ ಸುಕೃತ್ಯವು ಅವನ ಲೆಕ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಅವನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪಾಪ ಅಪರಾಧಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ಸಾಯುವನು. BSB BSB: But if a righteous man turns from his righteousness and practices iniquity, committing the same abominations as the wicked, will he live? None of the righteous acts he did will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness and sin he has committed, he will die.
25 ULB <<ಆದರೆ ನೀವು, <ಕರ್ತನ ಕ್ರಮವು ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀರಿ; ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ವಂಶದವರೇ, ನನ್ನ ಕ್ರಮವು ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲವೋ? ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕ್ರಮವೇ ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ. BSB BSB: Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ Hear now, O house of Israel: Is it My way that is unjust? Is it not your ways that are unjust?
26 ULB ಶಿಷ್ಟನು ತನ್ನ ಶಿಷ್ಟತನವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಅಧರ್ಮಮಾಡಿ, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತರೆ ತಾನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಅಧರ್ಮದಿಂದಲೇ ಸಾಯಬೇಕಾಯಿತು. BSB BSB: If a righteous man turns from his righteousness and practices iniquity, he will die for this. He will die because of the iniquity he has committed.
27 ULB ದುಷ್ಟನು ತಾನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ದುಷ್ಟತನವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು, ನೀತಿನ್ಯಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು. BSB BSB: But if a wicked man turns from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he will save his life.
28 ULB ಅವನು ಯೋಚಿಸಿ, ತಾನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅಪರಾಧಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಿಟ್ಟದ್ದರಿಂದ ಸಾಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಖಂಡಿತವಾಗಿ ಜೀವಿಸುವನು. BSB BSB: Because he considered and turned from all the transgressions he had committed, he will surely live; he will not die.
29 ULB ಆದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ವಂಶದವರು ಕರ್ತನ ಕ್ರಮವು ಸಮವಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ವಂಶದವರೇ, ನನ್ನ ಕ್ರಮವು ಸರಿಯಿಲ್ಲವೋ? ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕ್ರಮವೇ ಸರಿಯಿಲ್ಲವಷ್ಟೆ.>> BSB BSB: Yet the house of Israel says, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ Are My ways unjust, O house of Israel? Is it not your ways that are unjust?
30 ULB ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, <<ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ವಂಶದವರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಡತೆಗೆ ತಕ್ಕ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ತೀರ್ಪುಮಾಡುವೆನು; ಅಧರ್ಮವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡದಂತೆ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಪರಾಧಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡಿರಿ. BSB BSB: Therefore, O house of Israel, I will judge you, each according to his ways, declares the Lord GOD. Repent and turn from all your transgressions, so that your iniquity will not become your downfall.
31 ULB <<ನೀವು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿರುವ ಅಪರಾಧಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯವನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಭಾವವನ್ನೂ ನೂತನಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ವಂಶದವರೇ, ನೀವು ಸಾಯಬೇಕೇ? BSB BSB: Cast away from yourselves all the transgressions you have committed, and fashion for yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. Why should you die, O house of Israel?
32 ULB ಯಾರ ಸಾವಿನಲ್ಲೂ ನನಗೆ ಸಂತೋಷವಿಲ್ಲ; ಪಾಪದಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಜೀವಿಸಿರಿ>> ಇದು ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ನುಡಿ. BSB BSB: For I take no pleasure in anyone’s death, declares the Lord GOD. So repent and live!
