1ಅರ್ತಷಸ್ತ ರಾಜನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಾಬೆಲೋನಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಟ ಗೋತ್ರಪ್ರಧಾನರ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಸಂತಾನದವರ ವಿವರಣೆ.These are the family heads and genealogical records of those who returned with me from Babylon during the reign of King Artaxerxes:

2ಫೀನೆಹಾಸನ ಸಂತಾನದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಗೇರ್ಷೋಮ್; ಈತಾಮಾರನ ಸಂತಾನದವರಲ್ಲಿ ದಾನಿಯೇಲ್; ದಾವೀದನ ಸಂತಾನದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಶೆಕನ್ಯನ ಮೊಮ್ಮಗನಾದ ಹಟ್ಟೂಷ್.from the descendants of Phinehas, Gershom; from the descendants of Ithamar, Daniel; from the descendants of David, Hattush

3ಪರೋಷಿನವರಲ್ಲಿ ಜೆಕರ್ಯನೂ ಅವನೊಡನೆ ಶೆಕನ್ಯನ ವಂಶಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರುವ 150 ಗಂಡಸರು.of the descendants of Shecaniah; from the descendants of Parosh, Zechariah, and with him were registered 150 men;

4ಪಹತ್ ಮೋವಾಬಿನವರಲ್ಲಿ ಜೆರಹ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಎಲ್ಯೆಹೋವೇನೈಯೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನೊಡನೆ 200 ಗಂಡಸರು.from the descendants of Pahath-Moab, Eliehoenai son of Zerahiah, and with him 200 men;

5ಜತ್ತೂವಿನವರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಹಜೀಯೇಲನ ಮಗನಾದ ಶೆಕನ್ಯನೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವನೊಡನೆ 300 ಗಂಡಸರು.from the descendants of Zattu, Shecaniah son of Jahaziel, and with him 300 men;

6ಆದೀನನವರಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋನಾತಾನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಎಬೆದನೂ ಅವನೊಡನೆ 50 ಗಂಡಸರು.from the descendants of Adin, Ebed son of Jonathan, and with him 50 men;

7ಏಲಾಮಿನವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅತಲ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಶಾಯನೂ ಅವನೊಡನೆ 70 ಗಂಡಸರು.from the descendants of Elam, Jeshaiah son of Athaliah, and with him 70 men;

8ಶೆಫಟ್ಯನವರಲ್ಲಿ ಮಿಕಾಯೇಲನ ಮಗನಾದ ಜೆಬದ್ಯನೂ ಅವನೊಡನೆ 80 ಗಂಡಸರು.from the descendants of Shephatiah, Zebadiah son of Michael, and with him 80 men;

9ಯೋವಾಬನವರಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೀಯೇಲನ ಮಗನಾದ ಓಬದ್ಯನೂ ಅವನೊಡನೆ 218 ಗಂಡಸರು.from the descendants of Joab, Obadiah son of Jehiel, and with him 218 men;

10ಬಾನೀಯವರಲ್ಲಿ ಯೋಸಿಫ್ಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಶಿಲೋಮೀತನೂ ಅವನೊಡನೆ 160 ಗಂಡಸರು.from the descendants of Bani, Shelomith son of Josiphiah, and with him 160 men;

11ಬೇಬೈಯವರಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಬೈಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಜೆಕರ್ಯನೂ ಅವನೊಡನೆ 28 ಗಂಡಸರು.from the descendants of Bebai, Zechariah son of Bebai, and with him 28 men;

12ಅಜ್ಗಾದನವರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಕ್ಕಾಟಾನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋಹಾನಾನನೂ ಅವನೊಡನೆ 110 ಗಂಡಸರು.from the descendants of Azgad, Johanan son of Hakkatan, and with him 110 men;

13ಅದೋನೀಕಾಮಿನವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕಡೆಯವರಾದ ಎಲೀಫೆಲೆಟ್, ಎಮೀಯೇಲ್, ಶೆಮಾಯ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳವರೂ ಅವರೊಡನೆ 60 ಗಂಡಸರು.from the later descendants of Adonikam, these were their names: Eliphelet, Jeiel, and Shemaiah, and with them 60 men;

14ಬಿಗ್ವೈಯವರಲ್ಲಿ ಜಕ್ಕೂರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಊತೈಯೂ ಅವನೊಡನೆ 70 ಗಂಡಸರು.and from the descendants of Bigvai, both Uthai and Zaccur, and with them 70 men.

15ಅಹವಾ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹರಿಯುವ ನದಿಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಇವರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿದೆನು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ದಿನ ಪಾಳೆಯಮಾಡಿಕೂಂಡ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಾಧಾರಣ ಜನರೂ, ಯಾಜಕರೂ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಲೇವಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ಬರಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಕಂಡುಬಂತು.Now I assembled these exiles at the canal that flows to Ahava, and we camped there three days. And when I searched among the people and priests, I found no Levites there.

16ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಪ್ರಧಾನರಾದ ಎಲೀಯೆಜೆರ್, ಅರೀಯೇಲ್, ಶೆಮಾಯ, ಎಲ್ನಾತಾನ್, ಯಾರೀಬ್, ಎಲ್ನಾತಾನ್, ನಾತಾನ್, ಜೆಕರ್ಯ, ಮೆಷುಲ್ಲಾಮ್ ಇವರನ್ನೂ, ಪಂಡಿತರಾದ ಯೋಯಾರೀಬ್ ಎಲ್ನಾತಾನ್ ಇವರನ್ನೂ ಕರೆಯಿಸಿದೆನು.Then I summoned the leaders: Eliezer, Ariel, Shemaiah, Elnathan, Jarib, Elnathan, Nathan, Zechariah, and Meshullam, as well as the teachers Joiarib and Elnathan.

17ಅವರ ತರುವಾಯ ನಾನು ಕಾಸಿಫ್ಯ ಊರಿನ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನಾದ ಇದ್ದೋವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಮಾಡಿ, ನಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ದೇವಾಲಯ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ, ಅವರು ಇದ್ದೋವಿಗೂ ಕಾಸಿಫ್ಯ ಊರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅವನ ಸಹೋದರರಾದ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದ ಪರಿಚಾರಕರಿಗೂ ಹೇಳತಕ್ಕ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಟ್ಟೆನು. ಆ ಊರಿನವರು ದೇವದಾಸವರ್ಗದವರಷ್ಟೆ.And I sent them to Iddo, the leader at Casiphia, with a message for him and his kinsmen, the temple servants at Casiphia, that they should bring to us ministers for the house of our God.

18ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ಕೃಪಾಶೀರ್ವಾದ ನಮಗೆ ದೊರೆಕ್ಕಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ ಮಗನಾದ ಲೇವಿಯ ಕುಲದ ಮಹ್ಲೀ ಸಂತಾನದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಈಸ್ಸೆಕೆಲನನ್ನೂ, ಶೇರೇಬ್ಯನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಪುತ್ರಭ್ರಾತೃಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹದಿನೆಂಟು ಜನರನ್ನೂ,And since the gracious hand of our God was upon us, they brought us Sherebiah—a man of insight from the descendants of Mahli son of Levi, the son of Israel—along with his sons and brothers, 18 men;

19ಮೆರಾರೀಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಹಷಬ್ಯನನ್ನೂ ಅವನೊಡನೆ ಯೆಶಾಯನನ್ನೂ, ಅವರ ಪುತ್ರ ಸಹೋದರರಲ್ಲಿ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಜನರು,also Hashabiah, together with Jeshaiah, from the descendants of Merari, and his brothers and their sons, 20 men.

20ದಾವೀದನೂ ಅವನ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರನ್ನು ಲೇವಿಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇವೆಗಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ಪರಿಚಾರಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನೂರಿಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಜನರನ್ನೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರು. ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರ ಹೆಸರುಗಳು ಪಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದವು.They also brought 220 of the temple servants, all designated by name. David and the officials had appointed them to assist the Levites.

21ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಆ ಅಹವಾ ನದಿಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ಉಪವಾಸದಿಂದಿದ್ದು, ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಗ್ಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ನಮಗೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯವರಿಗೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಆಸ್ತಿಗೂ ಪ್ರಯಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಶುಭವನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಉಪವಾಸವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದನು.And there by the Ahava Canal I proclaimed a fast, so that we might humble ourselves before our God and ask Him for a safe journey for us and our children, with all our possessions.

22ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ಹಸ್ತವು ಆತನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಶರಣಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಪಾಲಿಸುವುದು; ಆತನನ್ನು ತೊರೆದುಬಿಟ್ಟವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಆತನ ಉಗ್ರವಾದ ಕೋಪಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗುವರು. ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಂದ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಸೈನ್ಯವನ್ನೂ, ಅಶ್ವಬಲವನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡಲು ಅರಸನಿಂದ ಸಹಾಯ ಕೇಳಲು ನಾಚಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೆನು.For I was ashamed to ask the king for an escort of soldiers and horsemen to protect us from our enemies on the road, since we had told him, “The hand of our God is gracious to all who seek Him, but His great anger is against all who forsake Him.”

23ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನಾವು ಉಪವಾಸಮಾಡಿ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಲು ಆತನು ನಮಗೆ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನನಾದನು.So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and He granted our request.

24ಅನಂತರ ನಾನು ಯಾಜಕರ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇರೇಬ್ಯ, ಹಷಬ್ಯ ಇವರ ಸಹೋದರರಲ್ಲಿ ಹತ್ತು ಜನರನ್ನೂ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅರಸನಿಂದಲೂ, ಅವನ ಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಿಂದಲೂ, ಸರದಾರರಿಂದಲೂ ಮತ್ತುThen I set apart twelve of the leading priests, together with Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brothers,

25ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಂದಲೂ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನೂ, ಸಾಮಾನುಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೂಕಮಾಡಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದೆನು.and I weighed out to them the contribution of silver and gold and the articles that the king, his counselors, his leaders, and all the Israelites there had offered for the house of our God.

26ಅವರ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಬೆಲೆಬಾಳುವ ಸಾಮಾನುಗಳ ತೂಕ: ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯು ಆರುನೂರೈವತ್ತು ತಲಾಂತು, ಬಂಗಾರವು ನೂರು ತಲಾಂತು,I weighed out into their hands 650 talents of silver, articles of silver weighing 100 talents, 100 talents of gold,

27ಬಂಗಾರದ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಬಟ್ಟಲುಗಳು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದೂ ಸಾವಿರ ಪವನು; ಇವುಗಳಲ್ಲದೆ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದ ಶುಭ್ರತಾಮ್ರದ ಎರಡು ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಅವು ಬಂಗಾರದಷ್ಟು ಬೆಲೆಯುಳ್ಳವುಗಳು.20 gold bowls valued at 1,000 darics, and two articles of fine polished bronze, as precious as gold.

28ನಾನು ಅವರಿಗೆ, <<ನೀವು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸ್ವಕೀಯರು; ಆ ಪಾತ್ರೆಗಳೂ, ದೇವರ ವಸ್ತುಗಳು; ಆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಬಂಗಾರವೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಸಮರ್ಪಿತವಾದ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಯು.Then I told them, “You are holy to the LORD, and these articles are holy. The silver and gold are a freewill offering to the LORD, the God of your fathers.

29ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಜಾಗರೂಕರಾಗಿದ್ದು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಯಾಜಕರ ಮತ್ತು ಲೇವಿಯರ ಪ್ರಧಾನರ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ತೂಕಮಾಡಿ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದ ಕೊಠಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಡುವವರೆಗೂ ಕಾಯಿರಿ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.Guard them carefully until you weigh them out in the chambers of the house of the LORD in Jerusalem before the leading priests, Levites, and heads of the Israelite families.”

30ಆ ಯಾಜಕರೂ ಮತ್ತು ಲೇವಿಯರೂ, ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಲುಪಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನೂ, ಉಪಕರಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೂಕಮಾಡಿಸಿ ತಮ್ಮ ವಶದಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡರು.So the priests and Levites took charge of the silver and gold and sacred articles that had been weighed out to be taken to the house of our God in Jerusalem.

31ನಾವು ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ತಿಂಗಳಿನ ಹನ್ನೆರಡನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಹವಾ ನದಿಯನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಹೊರಟೆವು. ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ಹಸ್ತವು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಇತ್ತು. ಆತನು ಶತ್ರುಗಳ ಮತ್ತು ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕುವವರ ಕೈಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕದಂತೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.On the twelfth day of the first month we set out from the Ahava Canal to go to Jerusalem, and the hand of our God was upon us to protect us from the hands of the enemies and bandits along the way.

32ನಾವು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮನ್ನು ಸೇರಿ ಮೂರು ದಿನ ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸಿಕೊಂಡೆವು.So we arrived at Jerusalem and rested there for three days.

33ನಾಲ್ಕನೆಯ ದಿನ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ಆಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಊರೀಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಮೆರೇಮೋತ್ ಎಂಬ ಯಾಜಕನಿಗೆ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನೂ ಉಪಕರಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ತೂಕಮಾಡಿ ಒಂದೊಂದಾಗಿ ಎಣಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟೆವು. ಫೀನೆಹಾಸನ ವಂಶದವನಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾಜಾರ್, ಯೇಷೂವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋಜಾಬಾದ್, ಬಿನ್ನೂಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ನೋವದ್ಯ ಎಂಬ ಲೇವಿಯರು ಅವನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು.On the fourth day, in the house of our God, we weighed out the silver and gold and sacred articles into the hand of Meremoth son of Uriah, the priest. Eleazar son of Phinehas was with him, along with the Levites Jozabad son of Jeshua and Noadiah son of Binnui.

34ಆಗಲೇ ಎಲ್ಲವುಗಳ ತೂಕವು ಲಿಖಿತವಾಯಿತು.Everything was verified by number and weight, and the total weight was recorded at that time.

35ದೇಶಾಂತರದ ಸೆರೆಯಿಂದ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ತೊಂಭತ್ತಾರು ಟಗರುಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತೇಳು ಕುರಿಮರಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಹೋತಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗಹೋಮವಾಗಿ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ಇವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಸರ್ವಾಂಗಹೋಮವೇ.Then the exiles who had returned from captivity sacrificed burnt offerings to the God of Israel: 12 bulls for all Israel, 96 rams, 77 lambs, and a sin offering of 12 male goats. All this was a burnt offering to the LORD.

36ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವರು ರಾಜಶಾಸನವನ್ನು ರಾಜೋದ್ಯೋಗಸ್ಥರಿಗೂ, ಹೊಳೆಯಾಚೆಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದರು. ಇವರು ಜನರಿಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ದೇವಾಲಯಕ್ಕೂ ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡಿದರು.They also delivered the king’s edicts to the royal satraps and governors of the region west of the Euphrates, who proceeded to assist the people and the house of God.
