1 ULB ಎಲೈ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನರಾದ ಗಲಾತ್ಯದವರೇ! ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮರುಳುಗೊಳಿಸಿದವರು ಯಾರು? ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವನಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣೆದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ವರ್ಣಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನಲ್ಲವೇ? BSB BSB: O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified.
2 ULB ಒಂದು ಸಂಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನೀವು ದೇವರಾತ್ಮನನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ನೇಮನಿಷ್ಠೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೋ ಅಥವಾ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೋ? 5 ULB ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮನನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇರಳವಾಗಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹತ್ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದದ್ದು, ನೀವು ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೋ ಅಥವಾ ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ನಂಬಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೋ? BSB BSB: Does God lavish His Spirit on you and work miracles among you because you practice the law, or because you hear and believe?
6 ULB ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು <<ದೇವರನ್ನು ನಂಬಿದನು, ಆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯು ಅವನ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ನೀತಿಯೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು>> ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಬರೆದಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ. BSB BSB: So also, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”
7 ULB ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಂಬುವವರೇ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. BSB BSB: Understand, then, that those who have faith are sons of Abraham.
8 ULB ದೇವರು ಅನ್ಯಜನರನ್ನು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿಯೇ ನೀತಿವಂತರೆಂದು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸುವನೆಂಬುದಾಗಿರುವ ವೇದವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮೊದಲೇ ಕಂಡು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ, <<ನಿನ್ನ ಮೂಲಕ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳವರಿಗೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವುಂಟಾಗುವುದೆಂಬ>> ಸುವಾರ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಂಚಿತವಾಗಿಯೇ ತಿಳಿಸಿತು. BSB BSB: The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and foretold the gospel to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.”
9 ULB ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಡುವವರು, ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಟ್ಟ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವರು. BSB BSB: So those who have faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.
10 ULB ಮೋಶೆಯ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ನೇಮನಿಷ್ಠೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆಧಾರಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಶಾಪಾಗ್ರಸ್ತರಾಗಿದಾರೆ. ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ, <<ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುವವುಗಳೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನೂ ಪ್ರತಿನಿತ್ಯವೂ ಪಾಲಿಸದಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನು ಶಾಪಗ್ರಸ್ತನೇ>> ಎಂದು ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿದೆ. BSB BSB: All who rely on works of the law are under a curse. For it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.”
11 ULB ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಿಂದ ಯಾರೂ ದೇವರ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನೀತಿವಂತರಾಗಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿದೆ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ <<ನೀತಿವಂತನು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಬದುಕುವನು>> ಎಂದು ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಿದೆ. BSB BSB: Now it is clear that no one is justified before God by the law, because, “The righteous will live by faith.”
12 ULB ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯು ಆಧಾರವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ, <<ಅದರ ನೇಮಗಳನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸುವವನೇ ಅವುಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಬದುಕುವನು>> ಎಂದು ಬರೆದಿದೆ. BSB BSB: The law, however, is not based on faith; on the contrary, “The man who does these things will live by them.”
14 ULB ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ ಉಂಟಾದ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವು, ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅನ್ಯಜನರಿಗೆಲ್ಲ ಸಿಗುವಂತೆಯೂ ಮತ್ತು ದೇವರು ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧಾತ್ಮನು ನಮಗೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ದೊರಕುವಂತೆಯೂ, ತನ್ನ ಮರಣದ ಮೂಲಕ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಂಡನು. BSB BSB: He redeemed us in order that the blessing promised to Abraham would come to the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
15 ULB ಸಹೋದರರೇ, ದೈನಂದಿನ ಜೀವನದಿಂದ ಒಂದು ದೃಷ್ಟಾಂತವನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ, ಒಬ್ಬನು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನೊಡನೆ ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಡಿಸಿದ ಒಂದು ಒಪ್ಪಂದವು ಕೇವಲ ಮನುಷ್ಯನದ್ದಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಅದನ್ನು ಯಾರೂ ರದ್ದುಮಾಡುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ ಮತ್ತು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಏನನ್ನೂ ಸೇರಿಸುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ. BSB BSB: Brothers, let me put this in human terms. Even a human covenant, once it is ratified, cannot be canceled or amended.
16 ULB ಹಾಗೆಯೇ, ದೇವರು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನಿಂದ ಬರುವ ಪೀಳಿಗೆಗೆ ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದನು. ಆದರೆ <<ಪೀಳಿಗೆ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಾಗ, ಅದು ವಂಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಅನ್ವಯಿಸದೇ, ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ವಂಶಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಒಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನೇ ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಆ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನೇ. BSB BSB: The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. The Scripture does not say, “and to seeds,” meaning many, but “and to your seed,” meaning One, who is Christ.
17 ULB ನಾನು ಹೇಳಬಯಸುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, ದೇವರು ಮೊದಲು ಅನುಮೋದಿಸಿದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು, ನಾನೂರ ಮೂವತ್ತು ವರುಷಗಳ ನಂತರ ಬಂದ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವು ಅದನ್ನು ನಿರರ್ಥಕಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ಆ ವಾಗ್ದಾನವನ್ನು ಬರಿದಾಗಿಮಾಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. BSB BSB: What I mean is this: The law that came 430 years later does not revoke the covenant previously established by God, so as to nullify the promise.
18 ULB ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕ ಆ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಧಾರಗೊಂಡಿರುವುದಾದರೆ, ವಾಗ್ದಾನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಧಾರವಾಗಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ದೇವರು ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಬಾಧ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ವಾಗ್ದಾನದ ಮೂಲಕವಾಗಿಯೇ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. BSB BSB: For if the inheritance depends on the law, then it no longer depends on a promise; but God freely granted it to Abraham through a promise.
19 ULB ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವು ಯಾತಕ್ಕೆ? ವಾಗ್ದಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೂಚಿತನಾದವನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿ ಬರುವತನಕ ದೇವರು ಇಂಥಿಂಥದು ಅಪರಾಧವೆಂದು ತೋರಿಸುವದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅದನ್ನು ವಾಗ್ದಾನದ ತರುವಾಯ ನೇಮಿಸಿ ದೇವದೂತರ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. BSB BSB: Why then was the law given? It was added because of transgressions, until the arrival of the seed to whom the promise referred. It was administered through angels by a mediator.
20 ULB ಒಂದೇ ಪಕ್ಷವಿದ್ದರೆ ಮಧ್ಯಸ್ಥನು ಬೇಕಿಲ್ಲ. ದೇವರಾದರೋ ಒಬ್ಬನೇ. BSB BSB: A mediator is unnecessary, however, for only one party; but God is one.
21 ULB ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವು ದೇವರ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವೋ? ಹಾಗೆ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು. ಬದುಕಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಶಕ್ತವಾಗಿರುವ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವು ಕೊಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುವುದರ ಮೂಲಕ ನಿಸ್ಸಂದೇಹವಾಗಿ ನೀತಿಯುಂಟಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. BSB BSB: Is the law, then, opposed to the promises of God? Certainly not! For if a law had been given that could impart life, then righteousness would certainly have come from the law.
22 ULB ಸಮಸ್ತ ಲೋಕವು ಪಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧೀನವಾಯಿತೆಂದು ಪವಿತ್ರಗ್ರಂಥವು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಪೀಕರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಹೀಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ ಸೌಭಾಗ್ಯವನ್ನು ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಟ್ಟವರಿಗೆ ಅವರ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೊಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. BSB BSB: But the Scripture pronounces all things confined by sin, so that by faith in Jesus Christ the promise might be given to those who believe.
23 ULB ಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವಿಸುವ ಕಾಲ ಬರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಮೊದಲು ನಾವು ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಬೇಕಾಗಿದ್ದ ಆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಗೆ ವಶವಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮೋಶೆಯ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದಿಂದ ನಾವು ಬಂಧಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೆವು. BSB BSB: Before this faith came, we were held in custody under the law, locked up until faith should be revealed.
24 ULB ನಾವು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ನೀತಿವಂತರೆಂಬ ನಿರ್ಣಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವ ಕಾಲ ಬರುವ ತನಕ, ಮೋಶೆಯ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸುವ ಪಾಲಕನಂತಾಗಿತ್ತು. BSB BSB: So the law became our guardian to lead us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 ULB ಆದರೆ ಈಗ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯು ಬಂದಿರಲಾಗಿ ನಾವು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸುವಂಥ ಧರ್ಮಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ಹತೋಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲ. BSB BSB: Now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian.
26 ULB ಹಾಗೆ ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತ ಯೇಸುವಿನಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟಿರುವ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ದೇವರ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ. BSB BSB: You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
27 ULB ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ದೀಕ್ಷಾಸ್ನಾನ ಮಾಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ. BSB BSB: For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
29 ULB ನೀವು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನವರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನ ವಂಶದವರಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ದೇವರ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಕ್ಕನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಬಾಧ್ಯರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೀರಿ. BSB BSB: And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise.
