1 ULB ಹೀಗೆ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ತನ್ನದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನೂ, ಲೋಟನನ್ನೂ ಸಂಗಡ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶದ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದನು. BSB BSB: So Abram went up out of Egypt into the Negev—he and his wife and all his possessions—and Lot was with him.
2 ULB ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಬಹು ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವಂತನಾಗಿದ್ದನು; ಅವನಿಗೆ ಪಶುಗಳೂ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಬಂಗಾರವೂ ಇದ್ದವು. BSB BSB: And Abram had become extremely wealthy in livestock and silver and gold.
3 ULB ಅವನು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಮುಂದೆ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಬೇತೇಲಿನವರೆಗೆ ಅಂದರೆ ಬೇತೇಲಿಗೂ ಆಯಿ ಎಂಬ ಊರಿಗೂ BSB BSB: From the Negev he journeyed from place to place toward Bethel, until he came to the place between Bethel and Ai where his tent had formerly been pitched,
4 ULB ನಡುವೆ ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಡಾರ ಹಾಕಿಸಿ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಬಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆರಾಧಿಸಿದನು. ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿ BSB BSB: to the site where he had built the altar. And there Abram called on the name of the LORD.
5 ULB ಅಬ್ರಾಮನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಲೋಟನಿಗೂ ಕುರಿ, ಎತ್ತು, ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳು ಇದ್ದವು. BSB BSB: Now Lot, who was traveling with Abram, also had flocks and herds and tents.
6 ULB ಆ ಸ್ಥಳವು ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರ ಜೀವನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಲದೆ ಹೋಯಿತು. BSB BSB: But the land was unable to support both of them while they stayed together, for they had so many possessions that they were unable to coexist.
7 ULB ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರ ಆಸ್ತಿ ಬಹಳವಾಗಿದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವುದು ಅಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಯಿತು. ಇದರಿಂದ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನ ದನ ಕಾಯುವವರಿಗೂ ಲೋಟನ ದನ ಕಾಯುವವರಿಗೂ ಜಗಳವಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕಾನಾನ್ಯರೂ ಪೆರಿಜೀಯರೂ ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ದೇಶದೊಳಗೆ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದರು. BSB BSB: And there was discord between the herdsmen of Abram and the herdsmen of Lot. At that time the Canaanites and the Perizzites were also living in the land.
8 ULB ಹೀಗಿರಲು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಲೋಟನಿಗೆ, <<ನನಗೂ ನಿನಗೂ, ನನ್ನ ದನ ಕಾಯುವವರಿಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದನ ಕಾಯುವವರಿಗೂ ಜಗಳವಾಗಬಾರದು; ನಾವು ಸಹೋದರರಲ್ಲವೇ. BSB BSB: So Abram said to Lot, “Please let there be no contention between you and me, or between your herdsmen and my herdsmen. After all, we are kinsmen.
9 ULB ದೇಶವೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನ್ನ ಎದುರಿಗೆ ಇದೆ; ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗು. ನೀನು ಎಡಗಡೆಗೆ ಹೋದರೆ ನಾನು ಬಲಗಡೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುವೆನು; ನೀನು ಬಲಗಡೆಗೆ ಹೋದರೆ ನಾನು ಎಡಗಡೆಗೆ ಹೋಗುವೆನು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: Is not the whole land before you? Now separate yourself from me. If you go to the left, I will go to the right; if you go to the right, I will go to the left.”
11 ULB ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಲೋಟನು ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ಹೊಳೆಯ ಸುತ್ತಣ ಪ್ರದೇಶವನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಮೂಡಣ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹೊರಟನು. BSB BSB: So Lot chose the whole plain of the Jordan for himself and set out toward the east. And Abram and Lot parted company.
12 ULB ಹೀಗೆ ಅವರಿಬ್ಬರೂ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾದರು. ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಿದನು. ಲೋಟನು ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ಹೊಳೆಯ ಸುತ್ತಣ ಊರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಸೊದೋಮಿನ ಸಮೀಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಡಾರ ಹಾಕಿದನು. BSB BSB: Abram lived in the land of Canaan, but Lot settled in the cities of the plain and pitched his tent toward Sodom.
13 ULB ಆದರೆ ಸೊದೋಮ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಜನರು ಯೆಹೋವನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹು ದುಷ್ಟರೂ ಪಾಪಿಷ್ಠರು ಆಗಿದ್ದರು. BSB BSB: But the men of Sodom were wicked, sinning greatly against the LORD.
14 ULB ಲೋಟನು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬೇರೆಯಾದ ನಂತರ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅಬ್ರಾಮನಿಗೆ, <<ನೀನಿರುವ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ದಕ್ಷಿಣಕ್ಕೂ, ಉತ್ತರಕ್ಕೂ, ಪೂರ್ವಕ್ಕೂ, ಪಶ್ಚಿಮಕ್ಕೂ, ಕಣ್ಣೆತ್ತಿ ನೋಡು. BSB BSB: After Lot had departed, the LORD said to Abram, “Now lift up your eyes from the place where you are, and look to the north and south and east and west,
15 ULB ನೀನು ನೋಡುವ ಈ ದೇಶವನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಿನಗೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಗೂ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ಕೊಡುವೆನು. BSB BSB: for all the land that you see, I will give to you and your offspring forever.
16 ULB ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತಾನದವರನ್ನು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಧೂಳಿನಷ್ಟು ಅಸಂಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವೆನು. ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಧೂಳನ್ನು ಲೆಕ್ಕಮಾಡುವುದಾದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತಾನವನ್ನೂ ಲೆಕ್ಕಿಸಬಹುದು. BSB BSB: I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if one could count the dust of the earth, then your offspring could be counted.
17 ULB ನೀನೆದ್ದು, ಈ ದೇಶದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ತಿರುಗಾಡು; ಇದನ್ನು ನಿನಗೆ ಕೊಡುವೆನು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: Get up and walk around the land, through its length and breadth, for I will give it to you.”
18 ULB ತರುವಾಯ ಅಬ್ರಾಮನು ಗುಡಾರವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೆಬ್ರೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮಮ್ರೆ ಮೋರೆ ಎಂಬ ತೋಪಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅಲ್ಲೇ ವಾಸಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು. BSB BSB: So Abram moved his tent and went to live near the Oaks of Mamre at Hebron, where he built an altar to the LORD.
