1 ULB ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ, ದೇವರ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಬಹುದೆಂಬ ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಇನ್ನೂ ಇರುವುದರಿಂದ ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಅದರಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಹೋಗದಂತೆ ನಾವು ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಇರೋಣ. BSB BSB: Therefore, while the promise of entering His rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be deemed to have fallen short of it.
2 ULB ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಿಗೆ ದೇವರ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯ ಶುಭವರ್ತಮಾನವು ಸಾರೋಣವಾದಂತೆಯೇ ನಮಗೂ ಸಾರೋಣವಾಯಿತು. ಆದರೆ ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಳಿದವರ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇವರು ಪಾಲುಗಾರರಾಗದ ಕಾರಣ ಆ ಸಂದೇಶದಿಂದ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. BSB BSB: For we also received the good news just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, since they did not share the faith of those who comprehended it.
3 ULB ಈಗ ನಂಬುವವರಾದ ನಾವುಗಳೇ ಆ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವವರು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಲೋಕಾದಿಯಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ಮುಗಿದುಹೋದಾಗ್ಯೂ <ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ನಾನು ಕೋಪದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿದೆನು> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದೆಯಲ್ಲಾ. BSB BSB: Now we who have believed enter that rest. As for the others, it is just as God has said: “So I swore on oath in My anger, ‘They shall never enter My rest.’” And yet His works have been finished since the foundation of the world.
4 ULB ಎಲ್ಲಿಯೋ ಒಂದು ಕಡೆ ಏಳನೆಯ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತಾಗಿ, <<ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮುಗಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಏಳನೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನೆಂದು>> ಬರೆದದೆ. BSB BSB: For somewhere He has spoken about the seventh day in this manner: “And on the seventh day God rested from all His works.”
5 ULB <<ಇವರು ನನ್ನ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲವೆಂದು>> ಎಂದು ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನು ಪುನಃ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ. BSB BSB: And again, as He says in the passage above: “They shall never enter My rest.”
6 ULB ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಕೆಲವರು ದೇವರ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ದೇವರು ಇನ್ನೂ ಅನುಮತಿಸುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಮೊದಲು ಶುಭವರ್ತಮಾನವನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದವರು ಅವಿಧೇಯರಾದ ಕಾರಣ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರದೆಹೋದರು. BSB BSB: Since, then, it remains for some to enter His rest, and since those who formerly heard the good news did not enter because of their disobedience,
7 ULB ಪುನಃ ಬಹುಕಾಲದ ನಂತರ ಆತನು ದಾವೀದನ ಮೂಲಕ ‘ಈ ಹೊತ್ತೇ’ ಎಂದು ಬೇರೊಂದು ದಿನವನ್ನು ಗೊತ್ತುಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಹೇಗೆಂದರೆ, <<ನೀವು ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ದೇವರ ಸ್ವರಕ್ಕೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡುವುದಾದರೆ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕಠಿಣ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡಿರಿ!>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನಷ್ಟೆ. BSB BSB: God again designated a certain day as “Today,” when a long time later He spoke through David as was just stated: “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.”
8 ULB ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಆ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿಸಿದ್ದಾದರೆ, ಬೇರೊಂದು ದಿನವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ದೇವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ. BSB BSB: For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day.
9 ULB ಆದಕಾರಣ ದೇವರ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಸಬ್ಬತೆಂಬ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯು ಇನ್ನೂ ಉಂಟು. BSB BSB: There remains, then, a Sabbath rest for the people of God.
10 ULB ಹೇಗಂದರೆ ದೇವರು ತನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸಿ ಹೇಗೆ ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಆತನ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿರುವವನು ಸಹ ತನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಗಿಸಿ ವಿಶ್ರಮಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ. BSB BSB: For whoever enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from His.
11 ULB ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾವು ಈ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸೋಣ. ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರಾದರೂ ಅವರಂತೆ ಅವಿಧೇಯರಾಗಿ ಬಿದ್ದುಹೋಗದೆ ಇರೋಣ. BSB BSB: Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same pattern of disobedience.
12 ULB ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಸಜೀವವಾದದ್ದು, ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾದದ್ದು ಮತ್ತು ಯಾವ ಇಬ್ಬಾಯಿ ಕತ್ತಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ಹರಿತವಾದದ್ದು ಆಗಿದ್ದು, ಪ್ರಾಣ ಆತ್ಮಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೀಲುಮಜ್ಜೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ವಿಭಾಗಿಸುವಷ್ಟು ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೂ ತೂರಿಹೋಗುವಂಥದಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಹೃದಯದ ಆಲೋಚನೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಉದ್ದೇಶಗಳನ್ನೂ ವಿವೇಚಿಸುವಂಥದ್ದೂ ಆಗಿದೆ. BSB BSB: For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
13 ULB ಆತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಮರೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ಒಂದು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಆತನ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಮರೆಯಾದದ್ದು ಒಂದೂ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ನಗ್ನವಾಗಿಯೂ ಬಟ್ಟಬಯಲಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದೆ. ಅಂಥವನಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಲೆಕ್ಕಕೊಡಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. BSB BSB: Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight; everything is uncovered and exposed before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
14 ULB ಆಕಾಶಗಳನ್ನು ದಾಟಿಹೋದ ದೇವಕುಮಾರನಾದ ಯೇಸುವೆಂಬ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನು ನಮಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನಮಗಿರುವ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ಹಿಡಿಯೋಣ. BSB BSB: Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we profess.
16 ULB ಆದುದರಿಂದ ನಾವು ತಕ್ಕ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರುಣೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವಂತೆಯೂ ಆತನ ಕೃಪೆಯಿಂದ ಸಮಯೋಚಿತವಾದ ಸಹಾಯವು ನಮಗೆ ದೊರೆಯುವಂತೆಯೂ ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಆತನ ಕೃಪಾಸನದ ಮುಂದೆ ಬರೋಣ. BSB BSB: Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
