1ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಯೋಬನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು,Then Job answered:

2<<ಹೌದು, ನೀವೇ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು; ಜ್ಞಾನವು ನಿಮ್ಮೊಡನೆಯೇ ಸಾಯುವುದು, ನಿಜ.“Truly then you are the people with whom wisdom itself will die!

3ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹಾಗೆ ನನಗೂ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯುಂಟು, ನಿಮಗಿಂತ ನಾನು ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲ. ಇಂಥವು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ತಾನೇ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ.But I also have a mind; I am not inferior to you. Who does not know such things as these?

4ನಾನು ಗೆಳೆಯನ ಗೇಲಿಗೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ! ದೇವರನ್ನು ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿಸಿದೆನಲ್ಲಾ, ಆತನು ಲಾಲಿಸಿದನಲ್ಲಾ, ನೀತಿವಂತನೂ, ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯೂ ಆದವನು ಹಾಸ್ಯಾಸ್ಪದನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ.I am a laughingstock to my friends, though I called on God, and He answered. The righteous and upright man is a laughingstock.

5ಆಪತ್ತನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವವರು ತಿರಸ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯರೆಂಬುದು ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯಿಂದಿರುವವನ ಯೋಚನೆ; ಜಾರಿ ಬಿದ್ದವರಿಗೆ ಅಪಮಾನವು ಕಾದಿರುತ್ತದೆ.The one at ease scorns misfortune as the fate of those whose feet are slipping.

6ಕಳ್ಳರ ಗುಡಾರಗಳಾದರೋ ಸಮೃದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವವು, ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವುದನ್ನೇ ದೇವರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು, ದೇವರನ್ನು ಕೋಪಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಮಾಡುವವರು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದಿರುವರು.The tents of robbers are safe, and those who provoke God are secure—those who carry their god in their hands.

7ಆದರೆ ಮೃಗಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸು, ನಿನಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶ ಮಾಡುವವು; ಆಕಾಶದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳು, ನಿನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವವು;But ask the animals, and they will instruct you; ask the birds of the air, and they will tell you.

8ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಸು, ನಿನಗೆ ಬೋಧಿಸುವುದು; ಸಮುದ್ರದ ಮೀನುಗಳು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳುವವು.Or speak to the earth, and it will teach you; let the fish of the sea inform you.

9ಈ ಎಲ್ಲವುಗಳ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಕೈಯೇ ಸಕಲ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ತಾನೇ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ?Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this?

10ಪ್ರತಿ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಣವು, ಸಮಸ್ತ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಆತ್ಮಗಳೂ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿರುವವು.The life of every living thing is in His hand, as well as the breath of all mankind.

11ಬಾಯಿಯು ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ರುಚಿ ನೋಡುವ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಕಿವಿಯು ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವೇಚಿಸುತ್ತದಲ್ಲಾ.Does not the ear test words as the tongue tastes its food?

12ಜ್ಞಾನವು ವೃದ್ಧರಲ್ಲೇ ಅಡಗಿದೆಯೋ? ದಿರ್ಘಾಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವೇಕವಿದೆ.Wisdom is found with the elderly, and understanding comes with long life.

13ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವೂ ಶಕ್ತಿಯೂ ಉಂಟು, ಆಲೋಚನೆಯೂ, ವಿವೇಕವೂ ಆತನವೇ.Wisdom and strength belong to God; counsel and understanding are His.

14ಇಗೋ, ಯಾರೂ ಕಟ್ಟದ ಹಾಗೆ ಕೆಡವಿಬಿಡುವನು, ಯಾರೂ ಬಿಡಿಸದಂತೆ ಸೆರೆಹಾಕುವನು.What He tears down cannot be rebuilt; the man He imprisons cannot be released.

15ನೋಡಿರಿ, ಆತನು ನೀರುಗಳನ್ನು ತಡೆದರೆ ಬೆಳೆಗಳು, ಭೂಮಿ ಒಣಗಿಹೋಗುತ್ತದೆ; ನೀರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಆವರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.If He holds back the waters, they dry up, and if He releases them, they overwhelm the land.

16ಆತನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಲವೂ, ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯವೂ ಉಂಟು; ತಪ್ಪಿದವನೂ, ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿದವನೂ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಅಧೀನರಾಗಿರುವರು.True wisdom and power belong to Him. The deceived and the deceiver are His.

17ಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಲಿಗೆಮಾಡಿ ಸಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವನು, ನ್ಯಾಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹುಚ್ಚರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವನು.He leads counselors away barefoot and makes fools of judges.

18ಅರಸರು ಹಾಕಿದ ಬಂಧನವನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ಅವರ ಸೊಂಟಕ್ಕೆ ನಡುಕಟ್ಟನ್ನು ಬಿಗಿಯುವನು.He loosens the bonds placed by kings and fastens a belt around their waists.

19ಯಾಜಕರನ್ನು ಸುಲಿಗೆಮಾಡಿ ಸಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವನು, ಪ್ರಧಾನರನ್ನು ದೊಬ್ಬಿಬಿಡುವನು.He leads priests away barefoot and overthrows the established.

20ಆಲೋಚನಾಕರ್ತರ ವಾಕ್ಚಾತುರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕುಗ್ಗಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಹಿರಿಯರ ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕುವನು.He deprives the trusted of speech and takes away the discernment of elders.

21ಪ್ರಭುಗಳಿಗೆ ಅವಮಾನವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡಿ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರ ನಡುಕಟ್ಟನ್ನು ಸಡಿಲಿಸುವನು.He pours out contempt on nobles and disarms the mighty.

22ಅಗಾಧ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಲೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬಯಲಿಗೆ ತಂದು ಗಾಢಾಂಧಕಾರವನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಾಶಗೊಳಿಸುವನು.He reveals the deep things of darkness and brings deep shadows into light.

23ಜನಾಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ವೃದ್ಧಿಗೊಳಿಸಿ ನಾಶಪಡಿಸುವನು, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿ ಗಡೀಪಾರುಮಾಡುವನು.He makes nations great and destroys them; He enlarges nations, then disperses them.

24ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಮುಖರ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ತೊಲಗಿಸಿ, ಅವರನ್ನು ದಾರಿಯಿಲ್ಲದ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡಿಸುವನು.He deprives the earth’s leaders of reason and makes them wander in a trackless wasteland.

25ಅವರು ಬೆಳಕಿಲ್ಲದ ಕತ್ತಲಲ್ಲಿ ತಡಕಾಡುವರು; ಅವರನ್ನು ಅಮಲೇರಿದವರಂತೆ ಓಲಾಡಿಸಿ ತಡವರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವನು.>>They grope in the darkness without light; He makes them stagger like drunkards.
