1. 1ULBಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಆಯಿ ನಗರವನ್ನು, ಅದರ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಯೆರಿಕೋವನ್ನೂ ಅದರ ಅರಸನನ್ನೂ ಹೇಗೆ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದನೆಂದು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಅರಸ ಅದೋನೀಚೆದೆಕನು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡನು.BSBBSB: Now Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem heard that Joshua had captured Ai and devoted it to destruction—doing to Ai and its king as he had done to Jericho and its king—and that the people of Gibeon had made peace with Israel and were living near them.
2. 2ULBಆಯಿ ಎಂಬ ಊರಿಗಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡದೂ, ಒಂದು ರಾಜಧಾನಿಯಷ್ಟು ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಯುದ್ಧವೀರರಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಜೀವದಿಂದ ಉಳಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಸಂಧಾನ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂಬುವುದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅದೋನೀಚೆದೆಕನು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟನು.BSBBSB: So Adoni-zedek and his people were greatly alarmed, because Gibeon was a great city, like one of the royal cities; it was larger than Ai, and all its men were mighty.
3. 3ULBಆದುದರಿಂದ ಹೆಬ್ರೋನಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹೋಹಾಮ್, ಯರ್ಮೂತಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಪಿರಾಮ್, ಲಾಕೀಷಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯಾಫೀಯ, ಎಗ್ಲೋನಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ದೆಬೀರ್ ಇವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ದೂತರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.BSBBSB: Therefore Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem sent word to Hoham king of Hebron, Piram king of Jarmuth, Japhia king of Lachish, and Debir king of Eglon, saying,
4. 4ULB<<ನೀವು ಬಂದು ನನಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡಿರಿ, ನಾವು ಯೆಹೋಶುವನ ಸಂಗಡಲೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಸಂಗಡಲೂ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸೋಲಿಸೋಣ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು.BSBBSB: “Come up and help me. We will attack Gibeon, because they have made peace with Joshua and the Israelites.”
5. 5ULBಆಗ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮ್, ಹೆಬ್ರೋನ್, ಯರ್ಮೂತ್, ಲಾಕೀಷ್, ಎಗ್ಲೋನ್ ಎಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳ ಐದು ಮಂದಿ ಅಮೋರಿಯ ರಾಜರು ಒಟ್ಟಾಗಿ ಸೇರಿ ದಂಡೆತ್ತಿ ಬಂದರು. ಅವರು ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನಿಗೆ ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆಹಾಕಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದರು.BSBBSB: So the five kings of the Amorites—the kings of Jerusalem, Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish, and Eglon—joined forces and advanced with all their armies. They camped before Gibeon and made war against it.
6. 6ULBಗಿಬ್ಯೋನ್ಯರು ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನ ಪಾಳೆಯಕ್ಕೆ ದೂತರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು. <<ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕರಾದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕೈಬಿಡದೆ, ಬೇಗನೆ ಬಂದು ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡಿ ನಮಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಸೇರಿ ಬಂದಿರುವ ಈ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಸೀಮೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಅಮೋರಿಯ ರಾಜರಿಂದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿರಿ>> ಎಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.BSBBSB: Then the men of Gibeon sent word to Joshua in the camp at Gilgal: “Do not abandon your servants. Come quickly and save us! Help us, because all the kings of the Amorites from the hill country have joined forces against us.”
7. 7ULBಆಗ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಭಟರ ಮತ್ತು ಯುದ್ಧವೀರರ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಟನು.BSBBSB: So Joshua and his whole army, including all the mighty men of valor, came from Gilgal.
8. 8ULBಯೆಹೋವನು ಯೆಹೋಶುವನಿಗೆ, ಅವರಿಗೆ <<ಹೆದರಬೇಡ, ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದಿಲ್ಲ>> ಎಂದನುBSBBSB: The LORD said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of them, for I have delivered them into your hand. Not one of them shall stand against you.”
9. 9ULBಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲ್ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ರಾತ್ರಿಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಮಾಡಿ ತಟ್ಟನೆ ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದನು.BSBBSB: After marching all night from Gilgal, Joshua caught them by surprise.
10. 10ULBಆ ಅಮೋರಿಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಕುರಿತಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಳವಳಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನಿನ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಸೋಲಿಸಿ ಬೇತ್‌ಹೋರೋನ್ ಎಂಬ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಜೇಕ, ಮಕ್ಕೇದ ಎಂಬ ಊರುಗಳವರೆಗೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದನು.BSBBSB: And the LORD threw them into confusion before Israel, who defeated them in a great slaughter at Gibeon, pursued them along the ascent to Beth-horon, and struck them down as far as Azekah and Makkedah.
11. 11ULBಅವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಗೊಟ್ಟು ಬೇತ್‍ಹೋರೋನಿನ ಇಳಿಜಾರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಓಡುತ್ತಾ ಅಜೇಕವನ್ನು ತಲುಪುವವರೆಗೂ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಕಾಶದಿಂದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಆಲಿಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಳೆಯನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸಿದನು. ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಅನೇಕರು ಸತ್ತರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಸಂಹಾರವಾದವರಿಗಿಂತ ಆಲಿಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಮಳೆಯಿಂದ ನಾಶವಾದವರೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಂದಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು.BSBBSB: As they fled before Israel along the descent from Beth-horon to Azekah, the LORD cast down on them large hailstones from the sky, and more of them were killed by the hailstones than by the swords of the Israelites.
12. 12ULBಯೆಹೋವನು ಅಮೋರಿಯರನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ವಿಜ್ಞಾಪನೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡನು. <<ಸೂರ್ಯನೇ, ನೀನು ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನಿನಲ್ಲೇ ನಿಲ್ಲು; ಚಂದ್ರನೇ, ನೀನು ಅಯ್ಯಾಲೋನ್ ಕಣಿವೆಯಲ್ಲೇ ನಿಲ್ಲು>> ಎಂದು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಸಮಕ್ಷಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.BSBBSB: On the day that the LORD gave the Amorites over to the Israelites, Joshua spoke to the LORD in the presence of Israel: “O sun, stand still over Gibeon, O moon, over the Valley of Aijalon.”
13. 13ULBಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಯ್ಯಿತೀರಿಸುವ ತನಕ ಸೂರ್ಯಚಂದ್ರರು ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಿಂತರು. ಈ ಮಾತು ಯಾಷಾರ್‌ ಗ್ರಂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿದೆಯಲ್ಲವೆ? ಹೀಗೆ ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಮುಳುಗಲು ಆತುರ ಪಡದೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಒಂದು ದಿನ ಪೂರ್ತಿ ಆಕಾಶದ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಿಂತನು.BSBBSB: So the sun stood still and the moon stopped until the nation took vengeance upon its enemies. Is this not written in the Book of Jashar? “So the sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day.”
14. 14ULBಯೆಹೋವನು ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟ ದಿನವು ಅದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹಿಂದೆಯೂ ಮುಂದೆಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಯೆಹೋವನು ತಾನೇ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದನು.BSBBSB: There has been no day like it before or since, when the LORD listened to the voice of a man, because the LORD fought for Israel.
15. 15ULBಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿನ ಪಾಳೆಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿದನು.BSBBSB: Then Joshua returned with all Israel to the camp at Gilgal.
16. 16ULBಆ ಐದು ಮಂದಿ ಅರಸರು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಮಕ್ಕೇದದ ಗುಹೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿಕೊಂಡರು.BSBBSB: Now the five kings had fled and hidden in the cave at Makkedah.
17. 17ULBಜನರು ಯೆಹೋಶುವನಿಗೆ <<ಆ ಐದು ಮಂದಿ ನಮಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಮಕ್ಕೇದದ ಗವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಡಗಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ>> ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.BSBBSB: And Joshua was informed: “The five kings have been found; they are hiding in the cave at Makkedah.”
18. 18ULBಆಗ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ <<ಆ ಗವಿಯ ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರಳಿಸಿ ಕಾಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರನ್ನು ಇಡಿರಿ. ನೀವಾದರೂ ಅಲ್ಲೇ ನಿಂತುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡಿ. ಬೇಗನೆ ಹಿಂದಟ್ಟಿ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬರುವ ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ಹತಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಗಿರಿ.BSBBSB: So Joshua said, “Roll large stones against the mouth of the cave, and post men there to guard them.
19. 19ULBಅವರನ್ನು ಅವರ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿಡಬೇಡಿರಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾನಲ್ಲಾ?>> ಎಂದನು.BSBBSB: But you, do not stop there. Pursue your enemies and attack them from behind. Do not let them reach their cities, for the LORD your God has delivered them into your hand.”
20. 20ULBಈ ರೀತಿಯಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಸೋಲಿಸಿ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು. ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಜನರು ಮಾತ್ರ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಕೋಟೆ ಕೊತ್ತಲುಗಳಿದ್ದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡರು.BSBBSB: So Joshua and the Israelites continued to inflict a terrible slaughter until they had finished them off, and the remaining survivors retreated to the fortified cities.
21. 21ULBಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಾದರೋ ಮಕ್ಕೇದದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತರಾಗಿ ಬಂದರು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಮಾತನಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.BSBBSB: The whole army returned safely to Joshua in the camp at Makkedah, and no one dared to utter a word against the Israelites.
22. 22ULBಅನಂತರ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಜನರಿಗೆ <<ಗವಿಯ ಬಾಯನ್ನು ತೆರೆದು ಆ ಐದು ಮಂದಿ ಅರಸರನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತನ್ನಿರಿ>> ಎಂದನು.BSBBSB: Then Joshua said, “Open the mouth of the cave and bring those five kings out to me.”
23. 23ULBಅವರು ಹೋಗಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮ್, ಹೆಬ್ರೋನ್, ಯರ್ಮೂತ್, ಲಾಕೀಷ್, ಎಗ್ಲೋನ್ ಎಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳ ಐದು ಮಂದಿ ಅರಸರನ್ನು ಗವಿಯಿಂದ ಎಳೆದು ಕೊಂಡು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದರು.BSBBSB: So they brought the five kings out of the cave—the kings of Jerusalem, Hebron, Jarmuth, Lachish, and Eglon.
24. 24ULBಅವರನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ತಂದನಂತರ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕರೆಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಸೈನ್ಯಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳಿಗೆ <<ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬಂದು ಈ ಅರಸರ ಕೊರಳಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಪಾದಗಳನ್ನಿಡಿರಿ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಅವರು ಹತ್ತಿರ ಬಂದು ಅವರ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಾಲಿಟ್ಟರು.BSBBSB: When they had brought the kings to Joshua, he summoned all the men of Israel and said to the army commanders who had accompanied him, “Come here and put your feet on the necks of these kings.” So the commanders came forward and put their feet on their necks.
25. 25ULBಆಗ ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೆ <<ಅಂಜಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಕಳವಳಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಸ್ಥಿರಚಿತ್ತರಾಗಿ, ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದಿರಿ. ನಿಮ್ಮೊಡನೆ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವೈರಿಗಳಿಗೂ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಮಾಡುವನು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.BSBBSB: “Do not be afraid or discouraged,” Joshua said. “Be strong and courageous, for the LORD will do this to all the enemies you fight.”
26. 26ULBಅನಂತರ ಆ ಅರಸರನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ಐದು ಮರಗಳಿಗೆ ನೇತುಹಾಕಿಸಿದನು. ಅವರ ಶವಗಳು ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದವರೆಗೂ ಅಲ್ಲೇ ತೂಗಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು.BSBBSB: After this, Joshua struck down and killed the kings, and he hung their bodies on five trees and left them there until evening.
27. 27ULBಸೂರ್ಯಾಸ್ತಮಾನದ ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ಜನರು ಯೆಹೋಶುವನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಯಂತೆ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮರಗಳಿಂದ ಕೆಳಗಿಳಿಸಿ ಅವರು ಅಡಗಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಗವಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಹಾಕಿ ಅದರ ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರಳಿಸಿದರು. ಆ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳು ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಇರುತ್ತವೆ.BSBBSB: At sunset Joshua ordered that they be taken down from the trees and thrown into the cave in which they had hidden. Then large stones were placed against the mouth of the cave, and the stones are there to this day.
28. 28ULBಅದೇ ದಿನ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಮಕ್ಕೇದವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡನು. ಅ ಊರಿನ ರಾಜ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದನು. ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನೂ ಉಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಯೆರಿಕೋವಿನ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದಂತೆ ಈ ಅರಸನಿಗೂ ಮಾಡಿದನು.BSBBSB: On that day Joshua captured Makkedah and put it to the sword, along with its king. He devoted to destruction everyone in the city, leaving no survivors. So he did to the king of Makkedah as he had done to the king of Jericho.
29. 29ULBಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಮಕ್ಕೇದದಿಂದ ಲಿಬ್ನಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿಯವರೊಡನೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದನು.BSBBSB: Then Joshua and all Israel with him moved on from Makkedah to Libnah and fought against Libnah.
30. 30ULBಯೆಹೋವನು ಅದನ್ನೂ ಅದರ ಅರಸನನ್ನೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಕೈವಶಮಾಡಿದನು. ಅವರು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನೂ ಉಳಿಸದೆ ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದರು. ಯೆರಿಕೋವಿನ ಅರಸನಿಗಾದ ಗತಿಯೇ ಇವರ ಅರಸನಿಗೂ ಆಯಿತು.BSBBSB: And the LORD also delivered that city and its king into the hand of Israel, and Joshua put all the people to the sword, leaving no survivors. And he did to the king of Libnah as he had done to the king of Jericho.
31. 31ULBಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಲಾಕೀಷಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆಹಾಕಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದನು.BSBBSB: And Joshua and all Israel with him moved on from Libnah to Lachish. They laid siege to it and fought against it.

33. 33ULBಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಲಾಕೀಷಿನವರ ಸಹಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ಗೆಜೆರಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಹೋರಾಮನನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಸದೆಬಡಿದನು. ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಉಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.BSBBSB: At that time Horam king of Gezer went to help Lachish, but Joshua struck him down along with his people, leaving no survivors.
34. 34ULBತರುವಾಯ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಲಾಕೀಷನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರ ಸಹಿತವಾಗಿ ಎಗ್ಲೋನಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆಹಾಕಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದನು.BSBBSB: So Joshua moved on from Lachish to Eglon, and all Israel with him. They laid siege to it and fought against it.
35. 35ULBಅವರು ಅದೇ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಲಾಕೀಷಿನವರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಅದನ್ನೂ ಅದರ ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.BSBBSB: That day they captured Eglon and put it to the sword, and Joshua devoted to destruction everyone in the city, just as he had done to Lachish.
36. 36ULBಅನಂತರ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನೂ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೂ ಎಗ್ಲೋನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೆಬ್ರೋನಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿBSBBSB: Then Joshua and all Israel with him went up from Eglon to Hebron and fought against it.
37. 37ULBಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಊರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅದರ ರಾಜಪ್ರಜೆಗಳೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದರು. ಎಗ್ಲೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಗೋ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನೂ ಉಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನೂ ಜನರನ್ನೂ ನಾಶಮಾಡಿದರು.BSBBSB: They captured it and put to the sword its king, all its villages, and all the people. Joshua left no survivors, just as he had done at Eglon; he devoted to destruction Hebron and everyone in it.
38. 38ULBಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನೂ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೂ ದೆಬೀರಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಿಯವರೊಡನೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದರು.BSBBSB: Finally Joshua and all Israel with him turned toward Debir and fought against it.
39. 39ULBಅದನ್ನೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಊರುಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಅದರ ರಾಜಪ್ರಜೆಗಳೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದರು. ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನೂ ಉಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಹೆಬ್ರೋನಿಗೂ ಅದರ ಅರಸನಿಗೂ ಲಿಬ್ನಕ್ಕೂ ಅದರ ಅರಸನಿಗೂ ಆದ ಗತಿಯೇ ದೆಬೀರಿಗೂ ಅದರ ಅರಸನಿಗೂ ಆಯಿತು.BSBBSB: And they captured Debir, its king, and all its villages. They put them to the sword and devoted to destruction everyone in the city, leaving no survivors. Joshua did to Debir and its king as he had done to Hebron and as he had done to Libnah and its king.
40. 40ULBಹೀಗೆ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲಣ ಪ್ರದೇಶ, ದಕ್ಷಿಣಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯ, ಇಳುಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಪ್ರದೇಶ, ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ತಗ್ಗು ಪ್ರದೇಶ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಇವುಗಳ ರಾಜಪ್ರಜೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು. ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನೂ ಉಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್‍ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯಂತೆ ಜೀವವಿರುವುದೆಲ್ಲವನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದನು.BSBBSB: So Joshua conquered the whole region—the hill country, the Negev, the foothills, and the slopes, together with all their kings—leaving no survivors. He devoted to destruction everything that breathed, just as the LORD, the God of Israel, had commanded.
41. 41ULBಕಾದೇಶ್ ಬರ್ನೇಯದಿಂದ ಗಾಜಾ ಊರಿನ ವರೆಗೂ ಗೋಷೆನ್ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದಿಂದ ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನಿನವರೆಗೂ ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಸೋಲಿಸಿದನು.BSBBSB: Joshua conquered the area from Kadesh-barnea to Gaza, and the whole region of Goshen as far as Gibeon.
42. 42ULBಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವರ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಈ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರಾಜರನ್ನೂ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಏಕಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ವಶಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡನು.BSBBSB: And because the LORD, the God of Israel, fought for Israel, Joshua captured all these kings and their land in one campaign.
43. 43ULBತರುವಾಯ ಯೆಹೋಶುವನು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರೊಡನೆ ಗಿಲ್ಗಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ತನ್ನ ಪಾಳೆಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿದನು.BSBBSB: Then Joshua returned with all Israel to the camp at Gilgal.
