1ಲೇವಿ ಕುಲಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಕಾನಾನ್ ದೇಶದ ಶೀಲೋವಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾಜಾರ, ನೂನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಶುವ ಮತ್ತು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ ಕುಲಾಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಇವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು,Now the family heads of the Levites approached Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the heads of the other tribes of Israel

2<<ನಮ್ಮ ನಿವಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ಪಶುಗಳಿಗೆ ಗೋಮಾಳಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾನಲ್ಲವೆ?>> ಅನ್ನಲುat Shiloh in the land of Canaan and said to them, “The LORD commanded through Moses that we be given cities in which to live, together with pasturelands for our livestock.”

3ಅವರು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯಂತೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬರೆದಷ್ಟು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಗೋಮಾಳಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.So by the command of the LORD, the Israelites gave the Levites these cities and their pasturelands out of their own inheritance:

4ಕೆಹಾತ್ಯರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಚೀಟುಹಾಕಿದಾಗ ಆರೋನನ ವಂಶದವರಾದ ಲೇವಿಯರಿಗೆ ಯೆಹೂದ, ಸಿಮೆಯೋನ್, ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನ್ ಕುಲಗಳಿಂದ ಹದಿಮೂರು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ದೊರೆತವು.The first lot came out for the Kohathite clans. The Levites who were descendants of Aaron the priest received thirteen cities by lot from the tribes of Judah, Simeon, and Benjamin.

5ಉಳಿದ ಕೆಹಾತ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮ್ ದಾನ್ ಕುಲಗಳಿಂದ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಅರ್ಧಕುಲದಿಂದಲೂ ಹತ್ತು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದವು.The remaining descendants of Kohath received ten cities by lot from the tribes of Ephraim, Dan, and the half-tribe of Manasseh.

6ಪುನಃ ಚೀಟು ಹಾಕಿದಾಗ ಗೇರ್ಷೋನ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಇಸ್ಸಾಕಾರ್, ಆಶೇರ್, ನಫ್ತಾಲಿ ಎಂಬ ಕುಲಗಳಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ಬಾಷಾನಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯ ಅರ್ಧ ಕುಲದಿಂದಲೂ ಹದಿಮೂರು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ದೊರಕಿದವು.The descendants of Gershon received thirteen cities by lot from the tribes of Issachar, Asher, Naphtali, and the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan.

7ಮೆರಾರೀ ಗೋತ್ರದವರಿಗೆ ರೂಬೇನ್, ಗಾದ್, ಜೆಬುಲೂನ್ ಕುಲಗಳಿಂದ ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದವುAnd the descendants of Merari received twelve cities from the tribes of Reuben, Gad, and Zebulun.

8ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮೋಶೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಚೀಟು ಹಾಕಿ ಲೇವಿಯರಿಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಅವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಗೋಮಾಳಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.So the Israelites allotted to the Levites these cities, together with their pasturelands, as the LORD had commanded through Moses.

9ಲೇವಿ ಕುಲದವರು ಕೆಹಾತ್ಯರ ಗೋತ್ರದವರೂ ಆದ ಆರೋನನ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರಿಗೆ ಮೊದಲು ಚೀಟು ಬಿದ್ದಿತು.From the tribes of Judah and Simeon, they designated these cities by name

10ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಯೆಹೂದ ಸಿಮೆಯೋನ್ ಕುಲಗಳಿಂದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಹೇಳಿರುವ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.to the descendants of Aaron from the Kohathite clans of the Levites, because the first lot fell to them:

11ಇವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೂದ ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಸೀಮೆಯ ಹೆಬ್ರೋನೆಂಬ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾದ ಕಿರ್ಯತರ್ಬವೂ ಸೇರಿರುತ್ತದೆ. (ಕಿರ್ಯಾತ ಅರ್ಬ ಎಂದರೆ ಅನಾಕನ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಅರ್ಬನ ಪಟ್ಟಣ) ಅದರ ಸುತ್ತಲಿರುವ ಉಪನಗರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.They gave them Kiriath-arba (that is, Hebron), with its surrounding pasturelands, in the hill country of Judah. (Arba was the father of Anak.)

12ಆದರೆ ಇದರ ಹೊಲಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಗ್ರಾಮಗಳನ್ನೂ ಯೆಫುನ್ನೆಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಕಾಲೇಬನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.But they had given the fields and villages around the city to Caleb son of Jephunneh as his possession.

13ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಆರೋನನ ವಂಶದವರಿಗೆ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಎರಡು ಕುಲಗಳಿಂದ ಹೆಬ್ರೋನೆಂಬ ಆಶ್ರಯ ನಗರವಾದ ಲಿಬ್ನಾ,So to the descendants of Aaron the priest they gave these cities, together with their pasturelands: Hebron, a city of refuge for the manslayer, Libnah,

14ಯತ್ತೀರ್, ಎಷ್ಟೆಮೋಹ,Jattir, Eshtemoa,

15ಹೋಲೋನ್, ದೆಬೀರ್,Holon, Debir,

16ಅಯಿನ್, ಯುಟ್ಟಾ, ಬೇತ್‌ಷೆಮೆಷ್‌ ಎಂಬ ಒಂಭತ್ತು ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳುAin, Juttah, and Beth-shemesh—nine cities from these two tribes, together with their pasturelands.

17ಹಾಗೂ ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನನ ಕುಲದಿಂದ ಗಿಬ್ಯೋನ್, ಗೆಬ,And from the tribe of Benjamin they gave them Gibeon, Geba,

18ಅನಾತೋತ್, ಅಲ್ಮೋನ್ ಎಂಬ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳೂ ದೊರಕಿದವು.Anathoth, and Almon—four cities, together with their pasturelands.

19ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನಾದ ಆರೋನನ ವಂಶದವರ ಪಾಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದಂಥ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಹದಿಮೂರು.In all, thirteen cities, together with their pasturelands, were given to the priests, the descendants of Aaron.

20ಲೇವಿಯರಾದ ಕೆಹಾತ್ಯರ ಉಳಿದ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳಿಗೆThe remaining Kohathite clans of the Levites were allotted these cities: From the tribe of Ephraim

21ಎಫ್ರಾಯೀಮ್ಯರ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶೆಕೆಮ್ ಎಂಬ ಆಶ್ರಯ ನಗರ,they were given Shechem in the hill country of Ephraim (a city of refuge for the manslayer), Gezer,

22ಗೆಜೆರ್, ಕಿಬ್ಚೈಮ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಬೇತ್‌ಹೋರೋನ್ ಎಂಬ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾದ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು,Kibzaim, and Beth-horon—four cities, together with their pasturelands.

23ದಾನ್ಯರ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ಎಲ್ತೆಕೇ, ಗಿಬ್ಬೆತೋನ್,From the tribe of Dan they were given Elteke, Gibbethon,

24ಅಯ್ಯಾಲೋನ್, ಗತ್‌ರಿಮ್ಮೋನ್ ಎಂಬ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾದ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು,Aijalon, and Gath-rimmon—four cities, together with their pasturelands.

25ಮನಸ್ಸೆ ಕುಲದ ಅರ್ಧಜನರ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ತಾನಾಕ್, ಗತ್‌ರಿಮ್ಮೋನ್, ಎಂಬ ಎರಡು ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಚೀಟಿನಿಂದ ದೊರಕಿದವು.And from the half-tribe of Manasseh they were given Taanach and Gath-rimmon—two cities, together with their pasturelands.

26ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ ಕೆಹಾತ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದಂಥ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಹತ್ತು.In all, ten cities, together with their pasturelands, were given to the rest of the Kohathite clans.

27ಗೆರ್ಷೋನ್ಯರ ಕುಟುಂಬಗಳಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಧ ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯವರ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ದೊರಕಿದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಇವು: ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡಿದವನಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯ ನಗರವಾದ ಬಾಷಾನಿನ ಗೋಲಾನ್, ಬೆಯೆಷ್ಟೆರಾ ಎಂಬ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾದ ಎರಡು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು;This is what the Levite clans of the Gershonites were given: From the half-tribe of Manasseh they were given Golan in Bashan, a city of refuge for the manslayer, and Beeshterah—two cities, together with their pasturelands.

28ಇಸ್ಸಾಕಾರ್ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ಕಿಷ್ಯೋನ್, ದಾಬೆರತ್,From the tribe of Issachar they were given Kishion, Daberath,

29ಯರ್ಮೂತ್, ಏಂಗನ್ನೀಮ್, ಎಂಬ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು;Jarmuth, and En-gannim—four cities, together with their pasturelands.

30ಆಶೇರ್ ಕುಲದಿಂದ ಮಿಷಾಲ್, ಅಬ್ದೋನ್,From the tribe of Asher they were given Mishal, Abdon,

31ಹೆಲ್ಕಾತ್ ರೆಹೋಬ್ ಎಂಬ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು;Helkath, and Rehob—four cities, together with their pasturelands.

32ನಫ್ತಾಲಿ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿನಿಂದ, ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡಿದವನಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯ ನಗರವಾದ ಗಲಿಲಾಯದ ಕೆದೆಷ್ ಹಮ್ಮೋತ್ ದೋರ್, ಕರ್ತಾನ್ ಎಂಬ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾದ ಮೂರು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ದೊರಕಿದವು.And from the tribe of Naphtali they were given Kedesh in Galilee (a city of refuge for the manslayer), Hammoth-dor, and Kartan—three cities, together with their pasturelands.

33ಗೇರ್ಷೊನ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಹದಿಮೂರು.In all, thirteen cities, together with their pasturelands, were given to the Gershonite clans.

34ಮಿಕ್ಕ ಲೇವಿಯರಾದ ಮೆರಾರೀ ಗೋತ್ರದವರಿಗೆ ಜೆಬುಲೂನ್ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ಯೊಕ್ನೆಯಾಮ್,This is what the Merarite clan (the rest of the Levites) were given: From the tribe of Zebulun they were given Jokneam, Kartah,

35ಕರ್ತಾ, ದಿಮ್ನಾ ಹಾಗೂ ನಹಲಾಲ್ ಎಂಬ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾದ ನಾಲ್ಕುಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು.Dimnah, and Nahalal—four cities, together with their pasturelands.

36ರೂಬೇನ್ಯರ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ಬೆಚೆರ್, ಯಹಚಾ,From the tribe of Reuben they were given Bezer, Jahaz,

37ಕೆದೇಮೋತ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಮೇಫಾಗತ್ ಎಂಬ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾದ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು;Kedemoth, and Mephaath—four cities, together with their pasturelands.

38ಗಾದ್ಯರ ಸ್ವತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ಕೊಲೆ ಮಾಡಿದವನಿಗೆ ಆಶ್ರಯ ನಗರವಾಗಿರುವ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ರಾಮೋತ್, ಮಹನಯಿಮ್,And from the tribe of Gad they were given Ramoth in Gilead, a city of refuge for the manslayer, Mahanaim,

39ಹೆಷ್ಬೋನ್, ಯಗ್ಜೇರ್ ಎಂಬ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾದ ನಾಲ್ಕುಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ದೊರಕಿದವು.Heshbon, and Jazer—four cities in all, together with their pasturelands.

40ಮಿಕ್ಕ ಲೇವಿಯರಾದ ಮೆರಾರೀ ಗೋತ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಚೀಟಿಯಿಂದ ದೊರಕಿದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಒಟ್ಟು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು.In all, twelve cities were allotted to the clans of Merari, the remaining Levite clans.

41ಲೇವಿಯರಿಗೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದೊರಕಿದ ಗೋಮಾಳ ಸಹಿತವಾದ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ನಲವತ್ತೆಂಟು.For the Levites, then, there were forty-eight cities in all, together with their pasturelands, within the territory of the Israelites.

42ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದಕ್ಕೂ ಗೋಮಾಳಗಳಿದ್ದವು. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಿಗೂ ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಇದ್ದಿತು.Each of these cities had its own surrounding pasturelands; this was true for all the cities.

43ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡಿದರು.Thus the LORD gave Israel all the land He had sworn to give their fathers, and they took possession of it and settled in it.

44ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವರ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರಿಗೆ ಆಣೆಯಿಟ್ಟು ಹೇಳಿದಂತೆ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಸಮಾಧಾನವನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದನು. ವೈರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಅವರೆದುರು ನಿಲ್ಲಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆತನು ಎಲ್ಲರನ್ನೂ ಅವರ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.And the LORD gave them rest on every side, just as He had sworn to their fathers. None of their enemies could stand against them, for the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand.

45ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ಅತಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೂ ತಪ್ಪಿ ಹೋಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಎಲ್ಲವೂ ನೆರವೇರಿದವು.Not one of all the LORD’s good promises to the house of Israel had failed; everything was fulfilled.
