Leviticus 11 (ULB)

1ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮೋಶೆ ಆರೋನರ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆಂದರೆ,The LORD spoke again to Moses and Aaron, telling them,

2<<ನೀವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಬೇಕು, <ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇವುಗಳ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ನೀವು ತಿನ್ನಬಹುದು,“Say to the Israelites, ‘Of all the beasts of the earth, these ones you may eat:

3ಅವು ಯಾವುವೆಂದರೆ ಯಾವ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಯ ಕಾಲ್ಗೊರಸು ಸೀಳಿದೆಯೋ ಅದು ಮೆಲುಕುಹಾಕುವಂಥದಾದರೆ ಅದರ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನಬಹುದು.You may eat any animal that has a split hoof completely divided and that chews the cud.

4ಆದರೆ ಯಾವ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಯು ಮೆಲಕು ಹಾಕಿದರೂ ಗೊರಸು ಸೀಳಲಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಮತ್ತು ಯಾವ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಯು ಗೊರಸು ಸೀಳಿದರೂ ಮೆಲಕು ಹಾಕುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಅವುಗಳ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ನೀವು ತಿನ್ನಬಾರದು. ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗೆ, ಒಂಟೆಯು ಮೆಲಕುಹಾಕುವಂಥದು ಸರಿ; ಆದರೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸೀಳುಗೊರಸು ಇಲ್ಲವಾದುದರಿಂದ ನೀವು ಅದರ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ಅಶುದ್ಧವೆಂದೆಣಿಸಬೇಕು.But of those that only chew the cud or only have a divided hoof, you are not to eat the following: The camel, though it chews the cud, does not have a divided hoof; it is unclean for you.

5ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೊಲವೂ ಮೆಲಕುಹಾಕುವಂಥದು; ಆದರೂ ಸೀಳುಗೊರಸು ಇಲ್ಲವಾದುದರಿಂದ ಅದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಅಶುದ್ಧ.The rock badger, though it chews the cud, does not have a divided hoof; it is unclean for you.

6ಮೊಲವೂ ಮೆಲಕುಹಾಕುವಂಥದು; ಆದರೂ ಸೀಳುಗೊರಸು ಇಲ್ಲವಾದ ಕಾರಣ ಅದೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ಅಶುದ್ಧ.The rabbit, though it chews the cud, does not have a divided hoof; it is unclean for you.

7ಹಂದಿಯ ಗೊರಸು ಸೀಳಿದೆ; ಆದರೂ ಅದು ಮೆಲಕು ಹಾಕುವುದಿಲ್ಲವಾದುದರಿಂದ ಅದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಅಶುದ್ಧ.And the pig, though it has a split hoof completely divided, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you.

8ಇವುಗಳ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ನೀವು ತಿನ್ನಬಾರದು; ಇವುಗಳ ಹೆಣವನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಬಾರದು; ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅಶುದ್ಧವೆಂದೆಣಿಸಬೇಕು.You must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you.

9<< <ಜಲಜಂತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ತಿನ್ನಬಹುದಾದವುಗಳು ಯಾವುವೆಂದರೆ ಸಮುದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯಾಗಲಿ, ನದಿಯಲ್ಲಿಯಾಗಲಿ, ಬೇರೆ ಜಲಾಶಯದಲ್ಲಿಯಾಗಲಿ ಯಾವ ಜಾತಿಯ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗೆ ರೆಕ್ಕೆ ಇದ್ದು ಮೈಯೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪರೆಪರೆಯಾಗಿರುವುದೋ ಅದರ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನಬಹುದು.Of all the creatures that live in the water, whether in the seas or in the streams, you may eat anything with fins and scales.

10ಆದರೆ ಸಮುದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೂ ಅಥವಾ ನದಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೂ ಜಲಚರಗಳಾದ ಸಕಲವಿಧವಾದ ಜೀವಜಂತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಜಾತಿಗೆ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಯೂ ಮತ್ತು ಪರೆಪರೆಯಾದ ಮೈಯೂ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಅದು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಷಿದ್ಧವಾದದ್ದು.But the following among all the teeming life and creatures in the water are detestable to you: everything in the seas or streams that does not have fins and scales.

11ಅಂತಹವು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಿಷಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಅವುಗಳ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ನೀವು ತಿನ್ನಬಾರದು; ಅವುಗಳ ಹೆಣಗಳು ನಿಮಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು.They shall be an abomination to you; you must not eat their meat, and you must detest their carcasses.

12ಜಲಜಂತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದಕ್ಕೆ ರೆಕ್ಕೆಗಳೂ, ಪರೆಪರೆಯಾದ ಮೈ ಇಲ್ಲವೋ ಅವು ನಿಮಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು.Everything in the water that does not have fins and scales shall be detestable to you.

13<< <ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಷಿದ್ಧವಾದ ಮತ್ತು ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳು ಯಾವುವೆಂದರೆ ಗರುಡ, ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಹದ್ದು,Additionally, you are to detest the following birds, and they must not be eaten because they are detestable: the eagle, the bearded vulture, the black vulture,

14ಕ್ರೌಂಚ, ಹದ್ದು,the kite, any kind of falcon,

15ಸಕಲವಿಧವಾದ ಗಿಡುಗ,any kind of raven,

16ಸಕಲವಿಧವಾದ ಕಾಗೆ, ಉಷ್ಟ್ರಪಕ್ಷಿ, ಉಲೂಕ, ಕಡಲಹಕ್ಕಿ, ಸಕಲವಿಧವಾದ ಡೇಗೆ,the ostrich, the screech owl, the gull, any kind of hawk,

17ಗೂಬೆ, ಹೆಗ್ಗೂಬೆ, ನೀರುಕಾಗೆ,the little owl, the cormorant, the great owl,

18ಬಿಳಿಗೂಬೆ, ಕರೇಟು, ಕಣಜ ಗೂಬೆ, ರಣಹದ್ದು, ಕಡಲ ಡೇಗೆ,the white owl, the desert owl, the osprey,

19ಕೊಕ್ಕರೆ, ಸಕಲವಿಧವಾದ ಬಕ, ಹೆಡೆಹಕ್ಕಿ, ಕಣ್ಣಕಪಡಿ. ಇವುಗಳ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನಬಾರದು.the stork, any kind of heron, the hoopoe, and the bat.

20<< <ರೆಕ್ಕೆಯುಳ್ಳವುಗಳಾಗಿ ಕಾಲುಗಳಿಂದ ಹರಿದಾಡುವ ಕ್ರಿಮಿಕೀಟಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಷಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು.All flying insects that walk on all fours are detestable to you.

21ಆದರೆ ಕಾಲುಳ್ಳ ಯಾವ ಕ್ರಿಮಿಕೀಟಗಳಿಗೆ ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾರುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ ಮುದುರಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ತೊಡೆಗಳು ಇರುತ್ತವೆಯೋ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನೀವು ತಿನ್ನಬಹುದು.However, you may eat the following kinds of flying insects that walk on all fours: those having jointed legs above their feet for hopping on the ground.

22ಸಕಲವಿಧವಾದ ಮಿಡತೆಗಳನ್ನು, ಬೋಳುಮಿಡತೆಗಳನ್ನು, ಜಿಟ್ಟಿಮಿಡತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಸಣ್ಣಮಿಡತೆ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಿನ್ನಬಹುದು.Of these you may eat any kind of locust, katydid, cricket, or grasshopper.

23ರೆಕ್ಕೆಯುಳ್ಳವುಗಳಾಗಿ ಕಾಲುಗಳಿಂದ ಹರಿದಾಡುವ ಸಕಲವಿಧವಾದ ಕ್ರಿಮಿಕೀಟಗಳು ನಿಮಗೆ ನಿಷಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿವೆ.All other flying insects that have four legs are detestable to you.

24<< <ಅದಲ್ಲದೆ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೇಳಿರುವ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳಿಂದ ನಿಮಗೆ ಅಪವಿತ್ರತೆ ಉಂಟಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅವುಗಳ ಹೆಣ ಯಾವನಿಗೆ ಸೋಂಕುವುದೋ ಅವನು ಆ ದಿನದ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದ ವರೆಗೂ ಅಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿರುವನು.These creatures will make you unclean. Whoever touches their carcasses will be unclean until evening,

25ಅವುಗಳ ಹೆಣವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿದವನು ತನ್ನ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದವರೆಗೂ ಅಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿರುವನು.and whoever picks up one of their carcasses must wash his clothes, and he will be unclean until evening.

26ಅವು ಯಾವುವೆಂದರೆ, ಯಾವ ಪಶುವಿನ ಗೊರಸು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಸೀಳಿದ್ದರೂ ಇಗ್ಗೊರಸಾಗಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಮತ್ತು ಮೆಲಕುಹಾಕುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ ಅದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಅಶುದ್ಧ. ಯಾರನ್ನು ಅವು ಸೋಂಕುವವೋ ಅವನು ಅಶುದ್ಧನಾಗುವನು.Every animal with hooves not completely divided or that does not chew the cud is unclean for you. Whoever touches any of them will be unclean.

27ಚತುಷ್ಪಾದ ನಾಲ್ಕುಕಾಳುಗಳ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಗಾಲುಗಳಿಂದ ನಡೆಯುವ ಎಲ್ಲವುಗಳು ನಿಮಗೆ ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವವು; ಅವುಗಳ ಹೆಣವನ್ನು ಯಾರು ಮುಟ್ಟುವರೋ ಅವರು ಆ ದಿನದ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದ ವರೆಗೂ ಅಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿರುವರು.All the four-footed animals that walk on their paws are unclean for you; whoever touches their carcasses will be unclean until evening,

28ಅವುಗಳ ಹೆಣವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿದವನು ತನ್ನ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಮತ್ತು ಆ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದ ವರೆಗೂ ಅಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿರುವನು. ಅವು ನಿಮಗೆ ಅಶುದ್ಧ.and anyone who picks up a carcass must wash his clothes, and he will be unclean until evening. They are unclean for you.

29<< <ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಂಚರಿಸುವ ಸಣ್ಣ ಜಂತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮಗೆ ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾದವುಗಳು ಯಾವುವೆಂದರೆ ಮುಂಗುಸಿ, ಇಲಿ, ಸಕಲವಿಧವಾದ ಉಡ,The following creatures that move along the ground are unclean for you: the mole, the mouse, any kind of great lizard,

30ಹಾವರಾಣಿ, ಊಸುರುವಳ್ಳಿ, ಹಲ್ಲಿ, ಬಸವನಹುಳ, ಚಿಟ್ಟಿಲಿ ಇವೇ.the gecko, the monitor lizard, the common lizard, the skink, and the chameleon.

31ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಂಚರಿಸುವ ಈ ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾದ ಸಣ್ಣ ಜಂತುಗಳ ಹೆಣವನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟುವವನು ಆ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದ ವರೆಗೂ ಅಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿರುವನು.These animals are unclean for you among all the crawling creatures. Whoever touches them when they are dead shall be unclean until evening.

32ಇವುಗಳ ಹೆಣವು ಯಾವ ವಸ್ತುವಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳುವುದೋ ಆ ವಸ್ತುವು ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವುದು. ಅದು ಮರದ ವಸ್ತುವಾಗಲಿ ಬಟ್ಟೆಯಾಗಲಿ, ಚರ್ಮವಾಗಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ಗೋಣಿಯಾಗಲಿ ಅದು ಎಂಥದಾದರೂ, ಯಾವ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಉಪಯೋಗವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಅದನ್ನು ನೀರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆನಸಬೇಕು; ಅದು ಆ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದ ವರೆಗೂ ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವುದು; ತರುವಾಯ ಶುದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುವುದು.When one of them dies and falls on something, that article becomes unclean; any article of wood, clothing, leather, sackcloth, or any implement used for work must be rinsed with water and will remain unclean until evening; then it will be clean.

33ಆ ಜಂತುಗಳ ಹೆಣ ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದರೆ ಆ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿರುವುದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾಗಿರುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಆ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ನೀವು ಒಡೆದುಬಿಡಬೇಕು.If any of them falls into a clay pot, everything in it will be unclean; you must break the pot.

34ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರುವ ತಿನ್ನತಕ್ಕ ಪದಾರ್ಥವೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೀರಿನಿಂದ ನೆನದರೆ ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾಗುವುದು. ಪಾನ ದ್ರವ್ಯವು ಆ ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದೂ ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾಗುವುದು.Any food coming into contact with water from that pot will be unclean, and any drink in such a container will be unclean.

35ಆ ಜಂತುಗಳ ಹೆಣ ಯಾವ ಸಾಮಾನಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದರೂ ಆ ಸಾಮಾನು ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾಗುವುದು. ಒಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅದು ಒಂಟಿ ಒಲೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಅಥವಾ ಜೋಡಿ ಒಲೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಅದು ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾದುದರಿಂದ ಅದನ್ನು ಒಡೆದುಬಿಡಬೇಕು; ಅದು ಅಶುದ್ಧವೇ.Anything upon which one of their carcasses falls will be unclean. If it is an oven or cooking pot, it must be smashed; it is unclean and will remain unclean for you.

36ಒರತೆ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಜಲಾಶಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ನೀವು ಶುದ್ಧವೆಂದೆಣಿಸಬೇಕು. ಆದರೆ ಇವುಗಳೊಳಗಿಂದ ಆ ಹೆಣವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿದವನು ಅಶುದ್ಧನಾಗುವನು.Nevertheless, a spring or cistern containing water will remain clean, but one who touches a carcass in it will be unclean.

37ಬಿತ್ತಬೇಕಾದ ಬೀಜದ ಮೇಲೆ ಈ ಜಂತುಗಳ ಹೆಣ ಬಿದ್ದರೆ ಆ ಬೀಜವು ಅಶುದ್ಧವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.If a carcass falls on any seed for sowing, the seed is clean;

38ನೀರು ಹಾಕಿ ನೆನಸಿದ ಬೀಜದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆ ಹೆಣ ಬಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದು ನಿಮಗೆ ಅಶುದ್ಧ.but if water has been put on the seed and a carcass falls on it, it is unclean for you.

39<< <ಆಹಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯವಾಗಿರುವ ಪಶುವು ಸತ್ತರೆ ಅದರ ಹೆಣವನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟಿದವನು ಆ ದಿನದ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದ ವರೆಗೂ ಅಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿರುವನು.If an animal that you may eat dies, anyone who touches the carcass will be unclean until evening.

40ಆ ಹೆಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವಾಗಿ ತಿಂದರೂ ತನ್ನ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಅವನು ಆ ದಿನದ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದ ವರೆಗೂ ಅಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿರುವನು. ಆ ಹೆಣವನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತವನೂ ತನ್ನ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು; ಅವನು ಆ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲದ ವರೆಗೂ ಅಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿರುವನು.Whoever eats from the carcass must wash his clothes and will be unclean until evening, and anyone who picks up the carcass must wash his clothes and will be unclean until evening.

41<< <ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹರಿದಾಡುವ ಕ್ರಿಮಿಕೀಟಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾಗಿವೆ; ಅವುಗಳ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನಬಾರದು.Every creature that moves along the ground is detestable; it must not be eaten.

42ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯಿಂದ ಹರಿದು ಹೋಗುವುದನ್ನು, ಕಾಲಿನಿಂದ ಹರಿದಾಡುವಂಥದನ್ನು, ಬಹಳ ಕಾಲುಳ್ಳದ್ದನ್ನು ಅಂತೂ ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹರಿದಾಡುವ ಯಾವ ಸಣ್ಣ ಜೀವಿಯನ್ನು ನೀವು ತಿನ್ನಬಾರದು; ಅವು ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾಗಿವೆ.Do not eat any creature that moves along the ground, whether it crawls on its belly or walks on four or more feet; for such creatures are detestable.

43ನೀವು ಅಂತಹ ಯಾವ ಸಣ್ಣ ಜೀವಿಯನ್ನು ತಿಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನೀವೇ ಹೇಸಿಗೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಶುದ್ಧರಾಗಬಾರದು.Do not defile yourselves by any crawling creature; do not become unclean or defiled by them.

44ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು; ನೀವು ದೇವಜನರಿಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ಇರಬೇಕು. ನಾನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನೀವೂ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹರಿದಾಡುವ ಯಾವ ಜಂತುವಿನಿಂದಾದರೂ ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅಶುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು.For I am the LORD your God; consecrate yourselves, therefore, and be holy, because I am holy. You must not defile yourselves by any creature that crawls along the ground.

45ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾಗಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಐಗುಪ್ತ ದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಾನೇ; ನಾನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ನೀವೂ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು.For I am the LORD, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt so that I would be your God; therefore be holy, because I am holy.

46<< <ಇದೇ ಪಶು, ಪಕ್ಷಿ, ಜಲಚರ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ರಿಮಿಕೀಟಗಳ ವಿಷಯವಾದ ನಿಯಮ.This is the law regarding animals, birds, all living creatures that move in the water, and all creatures that crawl along the ground.

47ಇದರಿಂದ ಶುದ್ಧ ಹಾಗು ಅಶುದ್ಧಗಳನ್ನು, ತಿನ್ನಬಹುದಾದ ಜೀವಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ತಿನ್ನಬಾರದಾದ ಜೀವಿಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ವಿವೇಚಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮಿಂದಾಗುವುದು.>>>You must distinguish between the unclean and the clean, between animals that may be eaten and those that may not.’”
