1 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮೋಶೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, <<ನೀನು ಆರೋನನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಯಾಜಕರಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಬೇಕು, <ಕುಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ತವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಯಾವ ಯಾಜಕನೂ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು. BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Moses, “Speak to Aaron’s sons, the priests, and tell them that a priest is not to defile himself for a dead person among his people,
2 ULB ಆದರೂ ಸಮೀಪ ರಕ್ತಸಂಬಂಧಿಗಳಾದ ತಾಯಿ, ತಂದೆ, ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅಣ್ಣತಮ್ಮಂದಿರು ಇವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಈ ನಿಯಮ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. BSB BSB: except for his immediate family—his mother, father, son, daughter, or brother,
3 ULB ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕನ್ನಿಕೆಯಾಗಿರುವ ತಂಗಿ ಇನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಯಾಗದೆ ಅವನ ಆಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಅವಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಅವನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು. BSB BSB: or his unmarried sister who is near to him, since she has no husband.
4 ULB ಅವನು ಕುಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಯಕನಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು, ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಯಾಜಕಸೇವೆಗೆ ಅಯೋಗ್ಯನಾದಾನು. BSB BSB: He is not to defile himself for those related to him by marriage, and so profane himself.
5 ULB ಅವರು ತಲೆಬೋಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು, ಗಡ್ಡವನ್ನು ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿ ವಿಕಾರಗೊಳಿಸಬಾರದು; ದೇಹವನ್ನು ಗಾಯಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು. BSB BSB: Priests must not make bald spots on their heads, shave off the edges of their beards, or make cuts in their bodies.
6 ULB ಅವರು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಮೀಸಲಾಗಿರಬೇಕು; ತಾವು ಸೇವಿಸುವ ದೇವರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಅಪಕೀರ್ತಿಗೆ ಗುರಿಪಡಿಸಬಾರದು. ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಅಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಹೋಮದ್ರವ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸುವವರು ಆಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಪವಿತ್ರರಾಗಿರಬೇಕು. BSB BSB: They must be holy to their God and not profane the name of their God. Because they present to the LORD the food offerings, the food of their God, they must be holy.
7 ULB ಯಾಜಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಮೀಸಲಾದವರು ಆಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ವೇಶ್ಯ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಮಾನವನ್ನು ಭಂಗಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ಗಂಡನಿಂದ ಬಿಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವಳನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು. BSB BSB: A priest must not marry a woman defiled by prostitution or divorced by her husband, for the priest is holy to his God.
8 ULB ಅವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸುವವರಾದ ಕಾರಣ ಅವರನ್ನು ದೇವರ ಸೇವಕರೆಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಬೇಕು. ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಯೆಹೋವನೆಂಬ ನಾನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧನಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರೆಂದು ನೀವು ಭಾವಿಸಬೇಕು. BSB BSB: You are to regard him as holy, since he presents the food of your God. He shall be holy to you, because I the LORD am holy—I who set you apart.
9 ULB ಯಾಜಕನ ಮಗಳು ವೇಶ್ಯೆ ಎಂಬ ನಿಂದೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಾದರೆ ತನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯನ್ನು ನಿಂದೆಗೆ ಒಳಪಡಿಸಿದವಳಾದಳು, ಅವಳನ್ನು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಡಬೇಕು. BSB BSB: If a priest’s daughter defiles herself by prostituting herself, she profanes her father; she must be burned in the fire.
10 ULB << <ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕನು ಅಂದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನನು, ಯಾವನು ತೈಲಾಭಿಷೇಕಹೊಂದಿ, ದೀಕ್ಷಾವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿ, ಪಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವನೋ ಅವನು ದುಃಖಸೂಚನೆಗಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ತಲೆಯ ಕೂದಲನ್ನು ಕೆದರಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು, ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹರಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು. BSB BSB: The priest who is highest among his brothers, who has had the anointing oil poured on his head and has been ordained to wear the priestly garments, must not let his hair hang loose or tear his garments.
11 ULB ಅವನು ಶವವಿರುವ ಯಾವ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೂ ಹೋಗಬಾರದು. ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳ ಮರಣದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಪವಿತ್ರ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು. BSB BSB: He must not go near any dead body; he must not defile himself, even for his father or mother.
12 ULB ಇದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವನು ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಬಿಡಲೇ ಬಾರದು; ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋದರೆ ತಾನು ಸೇವೆಮಾಡುವ ದೇವರ ಮಂದಿರದ ಗೌರವಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಂದು ಬರುವುದು. ತನ್ನ ದೇವರ ಅಭಿಷೇಕತೈಲವನ್ನು ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಯ್ಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನಲ್ಲಾ, ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವನು. BSB BSB: He must not leave or desecrate the sanctuary of his God, for the consecration of the anointing oil of his God is on him. I am the LORD.
13 ULB ಅವನು ಕನ್ನಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. BSB BSB: The woman he marries must be a virgin.
14 ULB ಅವನು ವಿಧವೆಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಗಂಡನಿಂದ ಬಿಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವಳನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಮಾನವನ್ನು ಭಂಗಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ವೇಶ್ಯ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದು. ಸ್ವದೇಶದವರಲ್ಲಿಯ ಕನ್ನಿಕೆಯನ್ನೇ ಮದುವೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. BSB BSB: He is not to marry a widow, a divorced woman, or one defiled by prostitution. He is to marry a virgin from his own people,
15 ULB ಇಲ್ಲವಾದರೆ ಅವನ ಸಂತತಿಯ ಸ್ವಜನರೊಳಗೆ ಅವನು ಅಪವಾದಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರಿಯಾಗುವನು. ಅವನನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಾನು>>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: so that he does not defile his offspring among his people, for I am the LORD who sanctifies him.”
16 ULB ಯೆಹೋವನು ಮೋಶೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, BSB BSB: Then the LORD said to Moses,
17 ULB <<ನೀನು ಆರೋನನಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸು, <ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತಲಾಂತರಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಯಾವ ಅಂಗವಿಕಲನೂ ದೇವರ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನನ್ನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಗೆ ಬರಬಾರದು; ಅಂಗವಿಕಲನು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲೇ ಬಾರದು. BSB BSB: “Say to Aaron, ‘For the generations to come, none of your descendants who has a physical defect may approach to offer the food of his God.
18 ULB ಅವನು ಕುರುಡನಾಗಲಿ, ಕುಂಟನಾಗಲಿ, ವಿಕಾರ ಮುಖವುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಲಿ, BSB BSB: No man who has any defect may approach—no man who is blind, lame, disfigured, or deformed;
19 ULB ವಿಪರೀತ ಅವಯವಗಳುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಲಿ, ಕೈಕಾಲು ಮುರಿದವನಾಗಲಿ, BSB BSB: no man who has a broken foot or hand,
20 ULB ಗೂನು ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ಕುಬ್ಜರಾಗಲಿ, ಹೂಗಣ್ಣ ಅಥವಾ ಕಾಯಿಗಣ್ಣನಾಗಲಿ, ಕಜ್ಜಿ, ತುರಿಗಳುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಲಿ, BSB BSB: or who is a hunchback or dwarf, or who has an eye defect, a festering rash, scabs, or a crushed testicle.
21 ULB ನಪುಂಸಕನಾಗಲಿ, ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವ ಕಳಂಕವಿದ್ದವನಾಗಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಹೋಮದ್ರವ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಗೆ ಬರಬಾರದು. ಅಂಥವನು ದೇಹದಲ್ಲಿ ದೋಷವಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ದೇವರ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಲೇಬಾರದು. BSB BSB: No descendant of Aaron the priest who has a defect shall approach to present the food offerings to the LORD. Since he has a defect, he is not to come near to offer the food of his God.
22 ULB ದೇವರಿಗೆ ನೈವೇದ್ಯವಾದ ಆಹಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧವಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಮಹಾಪರಿಶುದ್ಧವಾದುದನ್ನು ಅವನು ಊಟಮಾಡಬಹುದು. BSB BSB: He may eat the most holy food of his God as well as the holy food,
23 ULB ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕಳಂಕವಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ತೆರೆಯನ್ನು ದಾಟಿ ಒಳಗೆ ಬರಬಾರದು; ಯಜ್ಞವೇದಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರಬಾರದು; ನನ್ನ ಪವಿತ್ರಸ್ಥಾನಗಳ ಗೌರವಕ್ಕೆ ಅವನಿಂದ ಕುಂದು ಉಂಟಾಗಬಾರದು; ಆ ಸ್ಥಾನಗಳನ್ನು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವೆಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಾನು>>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. BSB BSB: but because he has a defect, he must not go near the veil or approach the altar, so as not to desecrate My sanctuaries. For I am the LORD who sanctifies them.’”
24 ULB ಮೋಶೆಯು ಆರೋನನಿಗೂ, ಅವನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೂ ಮತ್ತು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಈ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು. BSB BSB: Moses told this to Aaron and his sons and to all the Israelites.
