1. 1ULBಬೆಳಗಾದ ಕೂಡಲೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರೂ, ಹಿರಿಯರೂ, ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳೂ, ಹಿರೀಸಭೆಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಟ್ಟುಗೂಡಿ ಆಲೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಪಿಲಾತನಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.BSBBSB: Early in the morning, the chief priests, elders, scribes, and the whole Sanhedrin devised a plan. They bound Jesus, led Him away, and handed Him over to Pilate.
2. 2ULBಪಿಲಾತನು ಆತನನ್ನು, <<ನೀನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅರಸನೋ>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಲು ಆತನು, <<ನೀನೇ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೀ>> ಎಂದು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಟ್ಟನು.BSBBSB: So Pilate questioned Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” “You have said so,” Jesus replied.
3. 3ULBಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರು ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ತುಂಬಾ ದೂರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.BSBBSB: And the chief priests began to accuse Him of many things.
4. 4ULBಆಗ ಪಿಲಾತನು ಪುನಃ ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು, <<ನೀನು ಏನೂ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೇ? ಇವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ತುಂಬಾ ದೂರುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ನೋಡು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.BSBBSB: Then Pilate questioned Him again, “Have You no answer? Look how many charges they are bringing against You!”
5. 5ULBಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಏನೂ ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಪಿಲಾತನು ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯಪಟ್ಟನು.BSBBSB: But to Pilate’s amazement, Jesus made no further reply.

8. 8ULBಜನರು ಪಿಲಾತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ, ನೀನು ನಮಗೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾಡು ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.BSBBSB: So the crowd went up and began asking Pilate to keep his custom.

10. 11ULBಆದರೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರು, ಬರಬ್ಬನನ್ನೇ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಜನರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದರು.BSBBSB: But the chief priests stirred up the crowd to have him release Barabbas to them instead.
11. 12ULBಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪಿಲಾತನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು, <<ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ನೀವು ಹೇಳುವ ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ನಾನೇನು ಮಾಡಲಿ?>> ಎಂದು ಕೇಳಿದನು.BSBBSB: So Pilate asked them again, “What then do you want me to do with the One you call the King of the Jews?”
12. 13ULBಅವರು, <<ಅವನನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಸು>> ಎಂದು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಕೂಗಿಕೊಂಡರು.BSBBSB: And they shouted back, “Crucify Him!”
13. 14ULBಪಿಲಾತನು, <<ಏಕೆ? ಇವನು ಏನು ಅಪರಾಧ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ?>> ಅಂದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅವರು, <<ಅವನನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿಸು>> ಎಂದು ಇನ್ನೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಆರ್ಭಟಿಸಿ ಕೂಗಿಕೊಂಡರು.BSBBSB: “Why?” asked Pilate. “What evil has He done?” But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify Him!”
14. 15ULBಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪಿಲಾತನು ಜನಸಮೂಹವನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬರಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಟ್ಟು ಯೇಸುವನ್ನು ಕೊರಡೆಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊಡಿಸಿ, ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.BSBBSB: And wishing to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed Him over to be crucified.

17. 18ULBಅನಂತರ, <<ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅರಸನೇ, ನಿನಗೆ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ>> ಎಂದು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯಮಾಡಿ ವಂದಿಸಿದರು.BSBBSB: And they began to salute Him: “Hail, King of the Jews!”
18. 19ULBಬೆತ್ತದಿಂದ ಆತನ ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಡೆದು, ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಉಗುಳಿ, ಆತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಮೊಣಕಾಲೂರಿ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದರು.BSBBSB: They kept striking His head with a staff and spitting on Him. And they knelt down and bowed before Him.
19. 20ULBಹೀಗೆ ಆತನನ್ನು ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಆ ನಸುಗೆಂಪು ಮೇಲಂಗಿಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದು ಆತನ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಆತನಿಗೆ ತೊಡಿಸಿ ಆತನನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದರು.BSBBSB: After they had mocked Him, they removed the purple robe and put His own clothes back on Him. Then they led Him out to crucify Him.
20. 21ULBಆಗ ಹೊಲದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಆ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಆತನ ಶಿಲುಬೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಒತ್ತಾಯಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಅವನು ಯಾರೆಂದರೆ, ಅಲೆಕ್ಸಾಂದ್ರ ಹಾಗೂ ರೂಫ ಎಂಬುವರ ತಂದೆಯಾದ ಕುರೇನೆ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಸೀಮೋನನು.BSBBSB: Now Simon of Cyrene, the father of Alexander and Rufus, was passing by on his way in from the country, and the soldiers forced him to carry the cross of Jesus.
21. 22ULBಬಳಿಕ ಆತನನ್ನು ‘ಗೊಲ್ಗೊಥಾ’ ಎಂಬ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದರು. ‘ಗೊಲ್ಗೊಥಾ’ ಅಂದರೆ <<ತಲೆಬುರುಡೆಗಳು ಇರುವ ಸ್ಥಳ>> ಎಂದರ್ಥ.BSBBSB: They brought Jesus to a place called Golgotha, which means The Place of the Skull.
22. 23ULBಅಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ ರಕ್ತಬೋಳ ಬೆರಸಿದ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟರು; ಆದರೆ ಆತನು ಅದನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.BSBBSB: There they offered Him wine mixed with myrrh, but He did not take it.
23. 24ULBಅವರು ಆತನನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿ ಆತನ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವುದು ಯಾರಿಗೆ ಸಿಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಚೀಟು ಹಾಕಿ ಪಾಲುಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು.BSBBSB: And they crucified Him. They also divided His garments by casting lots to decide what each of them would take.
24. 25ULBಆತನನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕುವಾಗ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಒಂಭತ್ತು ಗಂಟೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.BSBBSB: It was the third hour when they crucified Him.
25. 26ULB<<ಈತನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಅರಸನು>> ಎಂದು ಆತನ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊರಿಸಿದ್ದ ದೋಷಾರೋಪಣೆಯನ್ನು, ಶಿಲುಬೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರೆಯಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.BSBBSB: And the charge inscribed against Him read: THE KING OF THE JEWS.
26. 27ULBಅದಲ್ಲದೆ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಕಳ್ಳರನ್ನು ತಂದು ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಆತನ ಬಲಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನು ಎಡಗಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ಸಂಗಡ ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದರು.BSBBSB: Along with Jesus, they crucified two robbers, one on His right and one on His left.

29. 31ULBಅದೇ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಯಾಜಕರೂ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಗಳೂ, <<ಅವನು ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದನು; ತನ್ನನ್ನು ತಾನೇ ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾರನು.BSBBSB: In the same way, the chief priests and scribes mocked Him among themselves, saying, “He saved others, but He cannot save Himself!
30. 32ULBಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಅರಸನಾದ ಈ ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನು ಈಗ ಶಿಲುಬೆಯಿಂದ ಇಳಿದು ಬರಲಿ; ಇಳಿದು ಬಂದರೆ ನಾವು ನೋಡಿ ನಂಬುತ್ತೇವೆ>> ಎಂದು ತಮ್ಮತಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ಅಣಕಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆತನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಶಿಲುಬೆಗೆ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರು ಸಹ ಆತನನ್ನು ನಿಂದಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.BSBBSB: Let the Christ, the King of Israel, come down now from the cross, so that we may see and believe!” And even those who were crucified with Him berated Him.
31. 33ULBಹನ್ನೆರಡು ಗಂಟೆಯಿಂದ ಮೂರು ಗಂಟೆಯ ತನಕ ಆ ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕತ್ತಲೆ ಕವಿಯಿತು.BSBBSB: From the sixth hour until the ninth hour darkness came over all the land.
32. 34ULBಮೂರು ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಯೇಸು, <<ಎಲೋಹಿ, ಎಲೋಹಿ, ಲಮಾಸಬಕ್ತಾನೀ?>> ಅಂದರೆ <<ನನ್ನ ದೇವರೇ, ನನ್ನ ದೇವರೇ, ಯಾಕೆ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೈಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀ?>> ಎಂದು ಮಹಾಧ್ವನಿಯಿಂದ ಕೂಗಿದನು.BSBBSB: At the ninth hour, Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
33. 35ULBಹತ್ತಿರ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ, <<ನೋಡಿರಿ, ಆತನು ಎಲೀಯನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ>> ಅಂದರು.BSBBSB: When some of those standing nearby heard this, they said, “Behold, He is calling Elijah.”
34. 36ULBಆಗ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಓಡಿಹೋಗಿ ಸ್ಪಂಜಿನಿಂದ ಹುಳಿ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿ ಕೋಲಿನ ತುದಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಸಿ, <<ಇವನನ್ನು ಶಿಲುಬೆಯಿಂದ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಇಳಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಲೀಯನು ಬರುವನೋ, ಏನೊ ಕಾದು ನೋಡೋಣ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.BSBBSB: And someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine. He put it on a reed and held it up for Jesus to drink, saying, “Leave Him alone. Let us see if Elijah comes to take Him down.”
35. 37ULBಆದರೆ ಯೇಸು ಮಹಾಧ್ವನಿಯಿಂದ ಕೂಗಿ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಬಿಟ್ಟನು.BSBBSB: But Jesus let out a loud cry and breathed His last.
36. 38ULBಆಗ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ತೆರೆಯು ಮೇಲಿಂದ ಕೆಳಗಿನವರೆಗೂ ಹರಿದು ಎರಡು ಭಾಗವಾಯಿತು.BSBBSB: And the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.
37. 39ULBಯೇಸು ಹೀಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಣಬಿಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಗೆ ನಿಂತು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಶತಾಧಿಪತಿಯು, <<ನಿಜವಾಗಿ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ದೇವಕುಮಾರನೇ>> ಅಂದನು.BSBBSB: When the centurion standing there in front of Jesus saw how He had breathed His last, he said, “Truly this man was the Son of God!”

Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joses, and Salome.
39. 42ULBಆಗಲೇ ಸಂಜೆಯಾಗಿತ್ತು; ಮತ್ತು ಆ ದಿನವು ‘ಸಿದ್ಧತೆಯ’ ದಿನ, ಅಂದರೆ ಸಬ್ಬತ್ ದಿನದ ಹಿಂದಿನ ದಿನವಾಗಿತ್ತು.BSBBSB: Now it was already evening. Since it was Preparation Day (that is, the day before the Sabbath),
40. 43ULBಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಅರಿಮಥಾಯದ ಯೋಸೇಫನೆಂಬುವನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಂದನು. ಅವನು ಯೆಹೂದ್ಯರ ಹಿರೀಸಭೆಯ ಗೌರವಸ್ಥನಾದ ಸದ್ಯಸನೂ, ದೇವರ ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ಎದುರುನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದವನು ಆಗಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನು ಧೈರ್ಯದಿಂದ ಪಿಲಾತನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಯೇಸುವಿನ ದೇಹವನ್ನು ತನಗೆ ಕೊಡಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು.BSBBSB: Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent Council member who himself was waiting for the kingdom of God, boldly went to Pilate to ask for the body of Jesus.

Then he rolled a stone against the entrance to the tomb.
