Proverbs 1 (ULB)

1ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಅರಸನಾಗಿದ್ದ ದಾವೀದನ ಮಗನಾದ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಜ್ಞಾನೋಕ್ತಿಗಳು.These are the proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel,

2ಇವುಗಳಿಂದ ಜನರು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದು, ಬುದ್ಧಿವಾದಗಳನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.for gaining wisdom and discipline, for comprehending words of insight,

3ಅವರು ವಿವೇಕಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದರೆ ನೀತಿ, ನ್ಯಾಯ ಮತ್ತು ಧರ್ಮಮಾರ್ಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಿತರಾಗುವರು.and for receiving instruction in wise living and in righteousness, justice, and equity.

4ಈ ನುಡಿಗಳು ಮೂಢರಿಗೆ ಜಾಣತನವನ್ನೂ, ಯೌವನಸ್ಥರಿಗೆ ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಬುದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುವವು.To impart prudence to the simple and knowledge and discretion to the young,

5ಜ್ಞಾನಿಯು ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾದ ಪಾಡಿಂತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವನು, ವಿವೇಕಿಯು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಉಚಿತಾಲೋಚನೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವನು.let the wise listen and gain instruction, and the discerning acquire wise counsel

6ಇವು ಗಾದೆ, ಸಾಮ್ಯ, ಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳ ನುಡಿ ಮತ್ತು ಒಗಟುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯಲು ಸಾಧನವಾಗಿವೆ.by understanding the proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise.

7ಯೆಹೋವನ ಭಯವೇ ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಗೆ ಮೂಲವು, ಮೂರ್ಖರಾದರೋ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುವರು.The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.

8ಮಗನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕೇಳು, ನಿನ್ನ ತಾಯಿಯ ಬೋಧನೆಯನ್ನು ತೊರೆಯಬೇಡ.Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction, and do not forsake the teaching of your mother.

9ಅವು ನಿನ್ನ ತಲೆಗೆ ಸುಂದರವಾದ ಪುಷ್ಪಕಿರೀಟ, ಕೊರಳಿಗೆ ಹಾರದಂತಿರುವುದು.For they are a garland of grace on your head and a pendant around your neck.

10ಮಗನೇ, ಪಾಪಿಗಳು ದುಷ್ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ನೀನು ಒಪ್ಪಲೇ ಬೇಡ.My son, if sinners entice you, do not yield to them.

11ಅವರು, <<ನಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಾ, ರಕ್ತಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕೋಣ, ನಿರಪರಾಧಿಯನ್ನು ಕಾರಣವಿಲ್ಲದೆಯೇ ಹಿಡಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾದಿರೋಣ.If they say, “Come along, let us lie in wait for blood, let us ambush the innocent without cause,

12ಪಾತಾಳವು ತನ್ನೊಳಗೆ ಇಳಿಯುವವರನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನುಂಗುವಂತೆ, ನಾವೂ ಇವರನ್ನು ಜೀವದೊಡನೆ ನುಂಗಿಬಿಡೋಣ.let us swallow them alive like Sheol, and whole like those descending into the Pit.

13ಸಕಲವಿಧವಾದ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಹಿಡಿದು, ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಮಾಡಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಿಕೊಳ್ಳೋಣ.We will find all manner of precious goods; we will fill our houses with plunder.

14ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಚೀಟು ಹಾಕು; ನಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಹಣದ ಚೀಲ ಒಂದೇ ಆಗಿರಲಿ>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರೆ,Throw in your lot with us; let us all share one purse”—

15ಮಗನೇ, ಅವರೊಡನೆ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಬಾರದು, ಅವರ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಯಿಡಬೇಡ.my son, do not walk the road with them or set foot upon their path.

16ಅವರ ಕಾಲುಗಳು ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿ ಓಡುವವು, ಅವರು ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸಲು ಆತುರಪಡುವರು.For their feet run to evil, and they are swift to shed blood.

17ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳ ಕಣ್ಣೆದುರಿಗೆ ಬಲೆಯನ್ನೊಡ್ಡುವುದು ವ್ಯರ್ಥ.How futile it is to spread the net where any bird can see it!

18ಇವರಾದರೋ ಸ್ವರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಸ್ವಜೀವವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾದಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ.But they lie in wait for their own blood; they ambush their own lives.

19ಸೂರೆಮಾಡುವವರೆಲ್ಲರ ದಾರಿಯು ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಸರಿ; ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಗಾರರ ಜೀವವನ್ನೇ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಮಾಡುವುದು.Such is the fate of all who are greedy, whose unjust gain takes the lives of its possessors.

20ಜ್ಞಾನವೆಂಬಾಕೆಯು ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾಳೆ, ಚೌಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಧ್ವನಿಮಾಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ.Wisdom calls out in the street, she lifts her voice in the square;

21ಪೇಟೆಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆ ಕೂಗುತ್ತಾಳೆ, ಊರ ಬಾಗಿಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯು ನುಡಿಯುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ,in the main concourse she cries aloud, at the city gates she makes her speech:

22<<ಮೂಢರೇ, ಮೂಢತನವನ್ನು ಎಂದಿನ ತನಕ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವಿರಿ? ಧರ್ಮನಿಂದಕರು ನಿಂದಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಎಷ್ಟುಕಾಲ ಇಷ್ಟಪಡುವರು? ಜ್ಞಾನಹೀನರು ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಎಷ್ಟರವರೆಗೆ ಹಗೆಮಾಡುವರು?“How long, O simple ones, will you love your simple ways? How long will scoffers delight in their scorn and fools hate knowledge?

23ನನ್ನ ಗದರಿಕೆಗೆ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯಕೊಡಿರಿ; ಇಗೋ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಯಪಡಿಸುವೆನು.If you had repented at my rebuke, then surely I would have poured out my spirit on you; I would have made my words known to you.

24ನಾನು ಕರೆದಾಗ ನೀವು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದಿರಿ. ಕೈ ಚಾಚಿದರೂ ಯಾರೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ;Because you refused my call, and no one took my outstretched hand,

25ನನ್ನ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಾದವನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಾರದೆ, ನನ್ನ ತಿದ್ದುಪಾಟನ್ನು ಬೇಡವೆಂದು ತಳ್ಳಿಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೀರಿ.because you neglected all my counsel, and wanted none of my correction,

26ಆದಕಾರಣ ಬಿರುಗಾಳಿಯಂತೆ ಅಪಾಯವೂ, ತುಫಾನಿನಂತೆ ಆಪತ್ತೂ ಬಂದು, ನಿಮಗೆ ಶ್ರಮಸಂಕಟಗಳು ಸಂಭವಿಸುವಾಗin turn I will mock your calamity; I will sneer when terror strikes you,

27ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಪಾಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನೂ ನಗುವೆನು; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಆಪತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯ ಮಾಡುವೆನು.when your dread comes like a storm, and your destruction like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish overwhelm you.

28ಆಗ ಅವರು ನನಗೆ ಮೊರೆಯಿಟ್ಟರೂ ನಾನು ಉತ್ತರಕೊಡೆನು, ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಆತುರದಿಂದ ಹುಡುಕಿದರೂ ನಾನು ಕಾಣಿಸೆನು.Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; they will earnestly seek me, but will not find me.

29ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಗೆ ಮನಸ್ಸು ಕೊಡದೆ ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡಿದರು.For they hated knowledge and chose not to fear the LORD.

30ನನ್ನ ಬೋಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲೊಲ್ಲದೆ, ನನ್ನ ಗದರಿಕೆಯನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತಾತ್ಸಾರಮಾಡಿದರು.They accepted none of my counsel; they despised all my reproof.

31ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ನಡತೆಯ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿ, ಸ್ವಂತ ಕುಯುಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನೇ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆತುಂಬಾ ಉಣ್ಣಬೇಕಾಗುವುದು.So they will eat the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.

32ಮೂಢರು ತಮ್ಮ ಉದಾಸೀನತೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಹತರಾಗುವರು, ಜ್ಞಾನಹೀನರು ತಮ್ಮ ನಿಶ್ಚಿಂತೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ನಾಶವಾಗುವರು.For the waywardness of the simple will slay them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them.

33ನನ್ನ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡುವವನಾದರೋ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತನಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಯಾವ ಕೇಡಿಗೂ ಭಯಪಡದೆ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಾಳುವನು>> ಎಂಬುದೇ.But whoever listens to me will dwell in safety, secure from the fear of evil.”
