Proverbs 31 (ULB)

1ಅರಸನಾದ ಲೆಮೂವೇಲನ ಮಾತುಗಳು, ಅಂದರೆ ಅವನ ತಾಯಿಯು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಉಪದೇಶಿಸಿದ ದೈವೋಕ್ತಿಯು,These are the words of King Lemuel—the burden that his mother taught him:

2ಏನು, ಕಂದಾ? ನನ್ನ ಗರ್ಭಪುತ್ರನೇ, ಏನು, ನನ್ನ ಹರಕೆಯ ಮಗುವೇ, ನಾನು ಏನು ಹೇಳಲಿ?What shall I say, O my son? What, O son of my womb? What, O son of my vows?

3ನಿನ್ನ ತ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಬೇಡ, ರಾಜರಿಗೆ ವಿನಾಶಕರವಾದ ದಾರಿಗೆ ತಿರುಗಬೇಡ.Do not spend your strength on women or your vigor on those who ruin kings.

4ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯುವುದು ರಾಜರಿಗೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯವಲ್ಲ, ಲೆಮೂವೇಲನೇ, ಅದು ರಾಜರಿಗೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯವಲ್ಲ, <<ಮದ್ಯವೆಲ್ಲಿ?>> ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಪ್ರಭುಗಳಿಗೆ ವಿಹಿತವಲ್ಲ.It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine, or for rulers to crave strong drink,

5ಕುಡಿದರೆ ಅವರು ಧರ್ಮನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ಮರೆತುಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಬಾಧೆಪಡುವವರೆಲ್ಲರ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ವ್ಯತ್ಯಾಸಮಾಡುವರು.lest they drink and forget what is decreed, depriving all the oppressed of justice.

6ಮದ್ಯವನ್ನು ಗತಿಯಿಲ್ಲದವನಿಗೂ, ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಮನೋವ್ಯಥೆಪಡುವವನಿಗೂ ಕೊಟ್ಟರೆ ಕೊಡು.Give strong drink to one who is perishing, and wine to the bitter in soul.

7ಕುಡಿದು ಬಡತನವನ್ನು ಮರೆತುಬಿಡಲಿ, ಶ್ರಮೆಯನ್ನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಕ್ಕೆ ತಾರದಿರಲಿ.Let him drink and forget his poverty, and remember his misery no more.

8ಬಾಯಿಲ್ಲದವರಿಗೂ, ಹಾಳಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ, ನ್ಯಾಯವಾಗುವಂತೆ ಬಾಯಿ ತೆರೆ.Open your mouth for those with no voice, for the cause of all the dispossessed.

9ಬಾಯನ್ನು ತೆರೆದು ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸು, ದೀನದರಿದ್ರರ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ಮಾಡು.Open your mouth, judge righteously, and defend the cause of the poor and needy.

10ಗುಣವತಿಯಾದ ಸತಿಯು ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕುವಳು? ಆಕೆಯು ಹವಳಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಬಹೂ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯಳು.A wife of noble character, who can find? She is far more precious than rubies.

11ಪತಿಯ ಹೃದಯವು ಆಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸವಿಡುವುದು, ಅವನು ಕೊಳ್ಳೆ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯಾಗಿ ಸಂಪಾದಿಸುವನು.The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he lacks nothing of value.

12ಆಕೆಯು ಜೀವಮಾನದಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಅಹಿತವನ್ನು ಮಾಡದೆ, ಹಿತವನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವಳು.She brings him good and not harm all the days of her life.

13ಉಣ್ಣೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಸೆಣಬನ್ನೂ ಹುಡುಕಿ ತಂದು, ಕೈಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಮಾಡುವಳು.She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.

14ವ್ಯಾಪಾರದ ಹಡಗುಗಳಂತೆ, ದೂರದಿಂದ ಬೇಕಾದ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ತರುವಳು.She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar.

15ಇನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತಲಿರುವಾಗಲೇ ಎದ್ದು, ಮನೆಯವರಿಗೆ ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು, ನೀಡುವಳು ದಾಸಿಯರಿಗೆ ದಿನದ ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ಹಂಚುವಳು.She rises while it is still night to provide food for her household and portions for her maidservants.

16ಹೊಲವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಯೋಚಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಳು, ತನ್ನ ಕೈಗೆಲಸದ ಲಾಭದಿಂದ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿತೋಟವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸುವಳು.She appraises a field and buys it; from her earnings she plants a vineyard.

17ನಡುವಿನ ಬಲವೆಂಬ ಪಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡು, ತೋಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಶಕ್ತಿಗೊಳಿಸುವಳು.She girds herself with strength and shows that her arms are strong.

18ವಿವೇಚಿಸಿ ಬಹುಲಾಭವಾಯಿತೆಂದು ತಿಳುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಳು, ಆಕೆಯ ದೀಪವು ರಾತ್ರಿಯಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆರದು.She sees that her gain is good, and her lamp is not extinguished at night.

19ರಾಟೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೈ ಹಾಕಿ, ಕದರನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವಳು.She stretches out her hands to the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers.

20ಬಡವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಕೈ ಬಿಚ್ಚಿ, ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದವರಿಗೆ ಕೈ ನೀಡುವಳು.She opens her arms to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy.

21ಮನೆಯವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಸಕಲಾತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊದಿಸಿರುವುದರಿಂದ, ಅವರ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಆಕೆಗೆ ಹಿಮದ ಭಯವಿಲ್ಲ.When it snows, she has no fear for her household, for they are all clothed in scarlet.

22ತನಗಾಗಿ ರತ್ನಗಂಬಳಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವಳು, ಆಕೆಯ ಉಡುಪು ನಾರುಮಡಿ, ರಕ್ತಾಂಬರ.She makes coverings for her bed; her clothing is fine linen and purple.

23ಆಕೆಯ ಪತಿಯು ನ್ಯಾಯಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ, ದೇಶದ ಹಿರಿಯರ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತಿರುವಾಗ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧನಾಗಿ ಕಾಣುವನು.Her husband is known at the city gates, where he sits among the elders of the land.

24ಹಚ್ಚಡಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಯ್ದು ಮಾರಾಟಮಾಡುವಳು, ನಡುಕಟ್ಟುಗಳನ್ನು ವರ್ತಕನಿಗೆ ಒದಗಿಸುವಳು.She makes linen garments and sells them; she delivers sashes to the merchants.

25ಬಲವನ್ನು, ತೇಜಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಹೊದ್ದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವಳು, ಭವಿಷ್ಯತ್ತಿನ ಭಯವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ನಗುತ್ತಿರುವಳು.Strength and honor are her clothing, and she can laugh at the days to come.

26ಬಾಯಿದೆರೆದು ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ತೋರ್ಪಡಿಸುವಳು. ಆಕೆಯ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯು ಬುದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುವುದು.She opens her mouth with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

27ಸೋಮಾರಿತನದ ಅನ್ನವನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನದೆ, ಗೃಹಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಳು.She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.

28ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಎದ್ದುನಿಂತು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು <<ಧನ್ಯಳು>> ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುವರು.Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband praises her as well:

29ಪತಿಯು ಸಹ, <<ಬಹುಮಂದಿ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಗುಣವತಿಯರಾಗಿ ನಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ, ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ನೀನೇ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠಳು>> ಎಂದು ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕೊಂಡಾಡುವನು.“Many daughters have done noble things, but you surpass them all!”

30ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವು ನೆಚ್ಚತಕ್ಕದ್ದಲ್ಲ, ಲಾವಣ್ಯವು ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲ, ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವಳೇ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರಪಾತ್ರಳು.Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

31ಆಕೆಯ ಕೈಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವನ್ನು ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿರಿ, ಆಕೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳೇ ಪುರದ್ವಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರಶಂಸಿಸಲಿ.Give her the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her at the gates.
