Proverbs 6 (ULB)

1ಮಗನೇ, ನೀನು ನೆರೆಯವನ ಸಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ಪರನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೆ,My son, if you have put up security for your neighbor, if you have struck hands in pledge with a stranger,

2ನೀನು ಮಾತುಕೊಟ್ಟು ಪಾಶಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೀ, ನಿನ್ನ ವಾಗ್ದಾನವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದಿದೆ.if you have been trapped by the words of your lips, ensnared by the words of your mouth,

3ಹೀಗಿರಲು, ಮಗನೇ, ನೀನು ನೆರೆಯವನ ಕೈಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದರಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಒಂದು ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡು, ನಡೆ, ತ್ವರೆಪಡು, ಆ ನೆರೆಯವನನ್ನು ಅಂಗಲಾಚಿ ಬೇಡಿಕೋ,then do this, my son, to free yourself, for you have fallen into your neighbor’s hands: Go, humble yourself, and press your plea with your neighbor.

4ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುಗಳಿಗೆ ನಿದ್ರೆಕೊಡಬೇಡ, ನಿನ್ನ ರೆಪ್ಪೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಬೇಡ;Allow no sleep to your eyes or slumber to your eyelids.

5ಬೇಟೆಗಾರನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಜಿಂಕೆಯು ಓಡುವಂತೆಯೂ, ಪಕ್ಷಿಯು ಹಾರಿ ಹೋಗುವ ಹಾಗೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೋ.Free yourself, like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, like a bird from the snare of the fowler.

6ಸೋಮಾರಿಯೇ, ಇರುವೆಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಹೋಗಿ, ಅದರ ನಡವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೋ.Walk in the manner of the ant, O slacker; observe its ways and become wise.

7ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾಯಕ, ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಭುಗಳಿಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೂ,Without a commander, without an overseer or ruler,

8ಬೇಸಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ತೀನಿಯನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡುವುದು, ಸುಗ್ಗಿಯ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ತನಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು.it prepares its provisions in summer; it gathers its food at harvest.

9ಸೋಮಾರಿಯೇ, ಎಷ್ಟು ಹೊತ್ತು ನಿದ್ರೆ? ನಿದ್ರೆಯಿಂದ ಯಾವಾಗ ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಳ್ಳುವಿ?How long will you lie there, O slacker? When will you get up from your sleep?

10<<ಇನ್ನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ನಿದ್ದೆ, ಇನ್ನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ತೂಕಡಿಕೆ, ಇನ್ನೂ ಕೊಂಚ ನಿದ್ದೆಗಾಗಿ ಕೈಮುದುರಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆ>> ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿಯಾ?A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest,

11ಬಡತನವು ದಾರಿಗಳ್ಳನ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೊರತೆಯು ಪಂಜುಗಳ್ಳನಂತೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೀಳುವವು.and poverty will come upon you like a robber, and need like a bandit.

12ನೀಚನೂ, ದುಷ್ಟನೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ನಡತೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡು, ಅವನು ವಕ್ರ ಮಾತಿನವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ,A worthless person, a wicked man, walks with a perverse mouth,

13ಕಣ್ಣನ್ನು ಮಿಟಕಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಕಾಲಿನಿಂದ ಕೆರೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಬೆರಳ ಸನ್ನೆಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.winking his eyes, speaking with his feet, and pointing with his fingers.

14ಅವನ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವುದು ದ್ರೋಹವೇ; ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಜಗಳದ ಬೀಜವನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತುತ್ತಾನೆ.With deceit in his heart he devises evil; he continually sows discord.

15ಆದಕಾರಣ ಅವನಿಗೆ ತಟ್ಟನೆ ವಿಪತ್ತು ಸಂಭವಿಸುವುದು, ಏಳದ ಹಾಗೆ ಫಕ್ಕನೆ ಮುರಿಯಲ್ಪಡುವನು.Therefore calamity will come upon him suddenly; in an instant he will be shattered beyond recovery.

16ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡುವ ವಿಷಯಗಳು ಆರು ಇವೆ, ಹೌದು, ಏಳು ಸಂಗತಿಗಳು ಆತನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾಗಿ ತೋರುತ್ತವೆ.There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are detestable to Him:

17ಅವು ಯಾವುವೆಂದರೆ, ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯ ಕಣ್ಣು, ಸುಳ್ಳಿನ ನಾಲಿಗೆ, ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಗಳ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸುವ ಕೈ,haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood,

18ದುರಾಲೋಚನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವ ಹೃದಯ, ಕೇಡುಮಾಡಲು ತ್ವರೆಪಡುವ ಕಾಲು,a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that run swiftly to evil,

19ಅಸತ್ಯವಾಡುವ ಸುಳ್ಳುಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಮತ್ತು ಒಡಹುಟ್ಟಿದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಜಗಳಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿತ್ತುವವನು ಇವುಗಳೇ.a false witness who gives false testimony, and one who stirs up discord among brothers.

20ಕಂದಾ, ತಂದೆಯ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳು, ತಾಯಿಯ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಬಿಡಬೇಡ.My son, keep your father’s commandment, and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.

21ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸದಾ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕೊರಳಿಗೆ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೋ.Bind them always upon your heart; tie them around your neck.

22ನೀನು ನಡೆಯುವಾಗ ಆ ಉಪದೇಶವು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸುವುದು, ಮಲಗಿಕೊಂಡಾಗ ಅದು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಯುವುದು, ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಂಡಾಗ ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದು.When you walk, they will guide you; when you lie down, they will watch over you; when you awake, they will speak to you.

23ಆಜ್ಞೆಯೇ ದೀಪ, ಉಪದೇಶವೇ ಬೆಳಕು, ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಪೂರ್ವಕವಾದ ಬೋಧನೆಯೇ ಜೀವದ ಮಾರ್ಗ.For this commandment is a lamp, this teaching is a light, and the reproofs of discipline are the way to life,

24ಅದು ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯಿಂದಲೂ, ವೇಶ್ಯೆಯ ಸಿಹಿನುಡಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸತಕ್ಕದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ.to keep you from the evil woman, from the smooth tongue of the adulteress.

25ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ಅವಳ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮೋಹಿಸದಿರಲಿ, ಅವಳು ತನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣುರೆಪ್ಪೆಗಳಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ವಶಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಾಳು, ನೋಡಿಕೋ.Do not lust in your heart for her beauty or let her captivate you with her eyes.

26ವೇಶ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಯಾವನಿಗಾದರೂ ಒಂದು ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಗತಿಯಾಗುವುದು, ಪರಸ್ತ್ರೀಯೋ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದ ಜೀವವನ್ನು ಬೇಟೆಯಾಡುವಳು.For the levy of the prostitute is poverty, and the adulteress preys upon your very life.

27ಮಡಿಲಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಕಿಯನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡರೆ ಬಟ್ಟೆ ಸುಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ?Can a man embrace fire and his clothes not be burned?

28ಧಗಧಗಿಸುವ ಕೆಂಡದ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆದರೆ ಕಾಲು ಬೇಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೋ?Can a man walk on hot coals without scorching his feet?

29ನೆರೆಯವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಹೋಗುವವನಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಆಗುವುದು, ಯಾರು ಅವಳನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟುವನೋ ಅವನು ದಂಡನೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದದೇ ಇರನು.So is he who sleeps with another man’s wife; no one who touches her will go unpunished.

30ಕಳ್ಳನು ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಗಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಹಸಿವೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಗಿಸಲು ಕಳವು ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಜನರು ಅಷ್ಟೇನೂ ಹೀಯಾಳಿಸರು.Men do not despise the thief if he steals to satisfy his hunger.

31ಅವನ ತಪ್ಪು ಬಯಲಾದರೆ ಅವನು ಏಳರಷ್ಟು ಕೊಡಬೇಕಾಗುವುದು, ಅಥವಾ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯ ಆಸ್ತಿಯನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ತೀರಿಸಲೇಬೇಕು.Yet if caught, he must pay sevenfold; he must give up all the wealth of his house.

32ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರಿಯೋ ಕೇವಲ ಬುದ್ಧಿಹೀನನು, ಇಂಥಾ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವವನು ತನ್ನನ್ನೇ ನಾಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವನು.He who commits adultery lacks judgment; whoever does so destroys himself.

33ಅವನಿಗೆ ಗಾಯವೂ, ಅವಮಾನವೂ ಆಗುವವು, ಅವನ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಹೆಸರು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಅಳಿಸಲ್ಪಡದು.Wounds and dishonor will befall him, and his reproach will never be wiped away.

34ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಮತ್ಸರವು ಪತಿಗೆ ಕ್ರೋಧವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ, ಅವನು ಮುಯ್ಯಿತೀರಿಸತಕ್ಕ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸನು.For jealousy enrages a husband, and he will show no mercy in the day of vengeance.

35ಅವನು ಯಾವ ಈಡನ್ನೂ ಮುಟ್ಟನು; ಎಷ್ಟು ಲಂಚಕೊಟ್ಟರೂ ಒಪ್ಪನು.He will not be appeased by any ransom, or persuaded by lavish gifts.
